Help is as obsessed as M about that trilogy and drones on about it every week. Now I know it started as fanfiction I can shut her up by telling her I wrote that stuff for years ;D Perhaps I should introduce her to slashy stuff, that'll make her eyes pop ;D

Oh The Guardian.. how I love thee www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/may/29/fifty-shades-of-grey-erotic-read Quote: In Fifty Shades the author disguises Bella and Edward as Anastasia and Christian – a literature student and a successful businessman respectively. As Christian lacks the pivotal character trait of being a sparkly vampire, James gives him an equally intriguing dark secret instead: he's into BDSM. I know – exciting, isn't it? Quote: Anastasia bites her bottom lip so often that it's impossible to visualise the heroine without calluses on her face. Quote: Anastasia is supposed to be highly intelligent and quick-witted, but she never behaves like it. Consequently, Christian's proclamations that she's "the most fascinating woman he has ever met" give the impression that Mr Kinkballs doesn't get out much. Quote: Fifty Shades is no tale of unbridled lust; it's page 78 before Grey and Steele have so much as a snog. The lust becomes more bridled still when Christian puts his charming romantic offer on the table, furnishing Anastasia with a list of rules dictating her required eating, sleeping, exercising and dressing habits. By the time Anastasia discloses that she is a virgin, the lust is wearing a saddle and answering to the name of Dobbin. ;D ;D ;D

Hee at the facial calluses ;D Is it that bad? I'd love to show Help this article ;D Although fair play, turning fanfic into popular money-maker is quite a feather in the cap. Pluto, if I had the energy I'd surely have ficced the Dynamic Duo by now

Sorry to fans of the book but I have read all three and, in my opinion, they're pretty terrible... If I heard one more word about Mary Sue's sodding Inner Goddess or poor woobie S&M guy's terrible childhood and issuesI was going to SCREAM! ;D
But fair play to the author, she's laughing all the way to the bank ;D

Hey! Fifty Shades seems to provoke 50 shades of opinions! ;D Lol, Deb...I love that you read ALL three to garner your opinion... I hated myself for spending money on the next two, but I couldn't help myself.... ;D They are not meant to be informative or motivational...unless it's to and I couldn't stop reading them! Lmao! I was at all the inner goddess stuff, too, and his ability to have her come on command.... ;D And yet....I loved them all and now I'm sorry I read them so quickly! Rainbow, I'm glad you're getting some out of them, too! You need to tell us your fav....ahem...eye rolling, lip biting...bits, too! ;D

Hey! Just wanted to make you all laugh about what I'm reading now! I noticed on B&N's top books that a book called 'Bared to You' by Sylvia Day was 5th on there...behind all the Shades of Grey books and trilogy, so I checked out a sample and it was soooo . Very like Grey, but still a good read...have to wait til October for next fix book. What can I say....they make me....smile

I didn't even realize you'd posted since I rec Bared to you, Rainbow...and now I know you've got your hot little hands on the next one...Reflected in You! I literally devoured this one...it was killing me cos it came out the same day as Travis' birthday and we all went out to eat, which was great, but I knew what was waiting for me at home! Now we have to wait til December for next book! Btw, have I told you how much I love my Nook book, lmao?! I know I have and I still can't stop saying how much I love it! I have a nice cover on it that closes with a magnetic clasp and it's just like opening a book to read it...BUT...I have several different genres downloaded on it, so I can pick and choose according to my mood! ;D MANY of the books are only 99cents cos they are first in a series and B and N wants to get you hooked on an author, which has happened to me over and over. The advantage to the 99 cents is that if you don't like it, you've only wasted a small amount, whereas there's been many times I've paid full price for a paper back, only to not really care for the book at all! Ok...and a couple of recs....Seducing Cinderella by Gina Maxwell (very sexy but well written), the Montgomery series (I started with One Enchanted Evening, but there are several ahead of it cos it's a true family dynasty series, but time travel is involved)by Lynn Kurland (she's the one I said who can write stomach dipping romance without actually going there), Highland Pleasures series by Jennifer Ashley...start with The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie ( I told you I have a thing for Scottish romances!), Prey by Linda Howard, who has many books out, but I chose to start with this one, and it was VERY good...suspense/romance/well written! I have loads of other favs but alot of them are syfy, western romance, or old favs like Dean Koontz' Odd Thomas series. As I've said before, I read for pleasure and it's not always in everyone's taste, but that's okay cos there's lots of good books out there for anyone's reading enjoyment!!!!! So now you know the truth....I'm a nerdy bookworm, lmao! ;D

I need to read Forster. Watched Passage To India again the other day, very hot and steamy, Art Malik was sooooo pretty. I'm not sure what was going on though, so the book might have more details. Was she just overcome by the heat, does anybody know?

I love EM Forster And studied APTI back in the day. As far as recall Adele was phased by the heat, the stress of impending nuptuals to that fuddy duddy and the general other-wordliness and sensuality of the country which was so far out of her experience. As a slash fan I think you might like Maurice, but all his novels are great.
