The DeeDee in question is a little girl, the niece of someone who Conned recently, and she is no doubt thrilled Birthday cards.

Well the sweets ect are a nice idea, but if you really want his attention instead of buying him presents why not do a forum collection for the PediAids charity in his name?

I suggested that instead of buying him a leather jacket, but it went down like a lead balloon BAPS are still going strong with the fundraising though. Hugely successful.

I dont understand it because I know James has more respect for BAPS' charity work than all the presents he has ever recieved. Im not saying he isnt grateful for those presents just if he wants for something he has the cash to buy it. Im going to shut up now before I start rambling

I agree totally. I also understand the compulsion to give him "stuff"..... I just don't share it.

Well before I go off rambling about people giving expensive presents rather than the forum charity donation I'll for now because maybe now the jacket has been bought the idea may not be ignored this time. If it is I'll rant in private

PK, darling, it didn't go down like a lead balloon at all! We're still giving him the leather jacket (some peeps won't take no for an answer, lol!), but over at The Goldenbees I'm running a fundraiser for PedAids... I think we have about £15 so far. If you want, it can be a joint venture (it's completely unrelated to the jacket) - we can say it's from The Goldenbees and the Bloody Spikelessers. Would peeps be interested in doing that? If so, I can do a proper post an'all, logging how much money has been collected, and where peeps can pledge stuff... or they can join the Goldenbees, of course where I'm doing something similar. I'm a hardcore SPI-er aren't I?! Seriously, though, I'm happy to organise a joint fundraiser if there's an interest in it.

Yes, I like that idea and would def contribute. I'd be delighted if you would like to start a new thread for it in this section. Ta. I can then put a notice up at the main site as well, so we can say it is a Goldenbees and Bloody Spikeless! site and forum venture. There are almost 350 members of the main site, and although there is obviously an overlap, some people aren't forum members and vice versa.

Yes I'll contribute tell me where ,when and how (if 350 peeps only give £1 each £350 would be good eh!!)

Thanks for the thumbs-up, PK; I've started a thread, and I hope we can really make this a worthwhile venture!

Latest message on the site:
Many of you are eager to know James’ next project and have e-mailed with lots of supportive suggestions – thank you. James has been very busy with meetings and auditions and reading material, that I am sure will lead to his next project shortly.
I know that a lot of you are anxiously following the Dresden book “Storm Front” which is in development with Lions Gate for Sci-Fi channel as a movie of the week. We are following it closely and as of now there is no casting yet. I understand that they are still in the development stages of working out the story for the small screen.
James will be recording the next Dresden book on tape “Grave Peril” in late September. As soon as we have a release date, we will share it with you.
He is also taking advantage of this much needed downtime in anticipation of revving back up again – getting in lots of rest and exercise and family time. We will do our best to give you, the fans, the most up to date information as soon as we can. Thank you for all the support.
Himber Entertainment (management for James)
Great that they are feeding us tidbits.... probably to staunch the flow of nagging messages to Himber Ent! Lol!
Plus another wee message from JM:
Personal messages from James Marsters
“Thank you to everyone for their early birthday wishes and gifts (not necessary!). Way too many to give a shout out to each and every one of you, but I appreciate all the good wishes and love and thank every one of you!” - James

Not sure they've got anything to do with his career though No seriously though he is being such a sweetie with these messages and I'm really glad he's taking some downtime and spending time with his family. If you ask me it's what he needs to do.

I think the messages are a really sweet gesture. And at least peeps who've sent cards, stuff etc. know they've arrived safely...
Sorry, Royal Mail issues. But you never can tell, if you don't hear anything! So peeps won't worry that the mail was dumped in a lake somewhere.
