Probably shouldn't be talking about it (most torrents on those sites are shhhhh ), but you'll need a BitTorrent client to download the actual file. Think of the torrent file you downloaded as a link to the actual file, and you have to have a special tool (the BitTorrent client) to access the target file you want. And yep, most popular shows are available via torrents within a few hours of airing. If you want good quality, look for ones labled as "HDTV". Good rule of thumb is the avi file should be about 350 MB per 1-hour show (the commercials are taken out in those too).

Okay, I'm the new kid on the block, I have no idea how to do anything. I have a picture of my son I would like to either have as an "avatiar"(I think that was the word) or somehow incorporated with my "signature". How do I do that? When I went to the profile page, it wanted the URL for the picture, but I don't have a website or anything, just tons of pics on my puter.

For an avatar (little pic on the left hand side under your screen name) you can resize your pic to no more than 100 x 100, and upload it to a free hosting site like photobucket.
Give it a go, and if you have any probs let us know.

I was trying to download spyware and stuff. You were trying to download spyware? Ummm... The Google toolbar is a good thing. In fact, if I'm forced to use Internet Exploder, I must have the Google toolbar with it. Wonderful popup blocker, as well as the search box. I hide all the other icons that default onto it. Tech Support is working too much lately.

Me again sorry. Cy, what the heck is a 'DX50 compressor not found' thingy? PC won't play any real time videos I download. Has something to do with codecs needed. A codec is like a set of instructions to tell the computer how to decompress and read each type of video file. This site says: Unable to render video: DX50 decompressor not found
This error occurs when you try to watch a movie and Windows Media Player is unable to find the needed video codec. In order to play the movie you need to install the DivX codec which contains a DX50 decompressor. For information how to install the DivX codec, goto the DivX codec section.

Ditto, I think it is just a Microsoft security update. Your comp must be set up to receive and install automatic updates if it did it without you saying it could. I get a message telling me there are new updates ready to be installed, and I can choose to do it or not, as I see fit.
