Oh I LOVE the film! Everything about it. I have the vid AND the soundtrack ;D And it always makes me cry! I don't particularly like LP, but I think Aly would be great and I'd be interested to see how they staged it.

Press and Journal BUFFY ACTRESS CASTS A SPELL ON WITCHCRAFT FANS
ANGELA TAYLOR
09:00 - 03 January 2004 Witch hunters descended on Aberdeen yesterday to catch a glimpse of Amber Benson, better known as powerful white witch Tara from cult show Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Fans queued from about 10am to meet Miss Benson at the Forbidden Planet shop for a signing session not due to begin for another five hours.
The queue stretched from the shop, down Schoolhill and through the Bon Accord Centre and by 5pm, two hours after the session started, it was still as long.
She is the third Buffy cast member to visit the shop, and early indications are that she was the most popular yet.
The first star of the US show to visit the shop was Anthony Head, who plays the slayer's watcher and mentor Giles. Fans queued from the Schoolhill shop to the Cowdray Hall to meet him.
Claire Kramer, who played evil goddess Glory, was also popular with north-east fans.
Miss Benson, who was nursing a heavy cold, said she was delighted to be in the city.
It was the first time she had been so far north, but she had previously visited Edinburgh and Glasgow.
"It's beautiful. I love Aberdeen and I really want to explore it. People have been really friendly and there's no monsters - at least I've not seen any yet."
She added that she was constantly surprised by the number of fans who turned up to events.
"It's very weird. You don't imaging this being your life when you're on set for 17 hours a day working. You're kind of displaced from reality."
The actress said she had never had any nasty encounters or letters because of her involvement in the show, which deals with many occult issues, but she had received pamphlets extolling religious virtues, and letters from people who promised to pray for her.
The Buffy the Vampire series has ended but Miss Benson remains busy, mainly writing.
She recently worked with Chris Golden to write Ghosts of Albion, which was turned into an animated film for the BBC. The story was also broadcast on radio.
The pair are currently writing two books based on the animated show. She added that she filled her free time on the Buffy set by writing, while most of her co-stars knitted.
Miss Benson was also promoting her new film Chance which she wrote, produced, directed and stars in. She portrays the title character, a girl looking for love in all the wrong places.
She spent Christmas and Hogmanay in Edinburgh and had planned to join the Hogmanay celebrations but was not too disappointed when they were cancelled because she was in bed.
Forbidden Planet manager Jenny Mitchell said Miss Benson's appearance was probably the most popular yet.
She said: "Signings in general are always popular but the Buffy ones are the biggest. It's good for us. On the day there's not much in the way of sales, but it's getting the fans in and getting our name promoted among the fans and local people."

From Guide Online Jan 6th www.tvguide.com/news/insider/Xander on Life After Buffy by Daniel R. Coleridge
Nicholas Brendon OK, so perhaps it's a bit soon for a "Where Are They Now?" piece on Nicholas Brendon. The series finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer aired only last May. Still, we miss our Scooby gang, especially the 32-year-old actor who played goofy good guy Xander Harris. So what's he up to? He just wrapped filming ABC Family's -movie, Celeste in the City, which debuts in March. Now, he's poundin' the pavement, seeking work like most thesps in Los Angeles. Here, Guide Online finds out his future plans — and takes a look back at Xander's past antics.
Guide Online: Alyson Hannigan has a sitcom coming up. Why not you? Brendon: That's what I really want to do. I want a sitcom! I'm tryin'! I've been taking meetings, just trying to figure out what to do. I did do a sitcom pilot for Fox with Ron Levin — the creator of Married with Children — called The Pool at Maddy Breakers. It didn't get picked up. But good for Alyson. I should call her!
TVGO: How pissed were you that, in Buffy's last season, you were turned into an under-five [minutes of screen time], while a bunch of Slayerettes we'd never seen before hogged all the air time? Brendon: I was kind of unappreciated, but my wife, Tressa, talked me through it. She said, "It's not quantity, it's quality." And I had a lot of great scenes. After seven years, I think [creator Joss Whedon] pretty much said my character was kinda played out a little bit. So they brought in a bunch of people.
TVGO: Played out? That's whack. Xander always seemed to have interesting stuff to do. Brendon: He was a great character because he was the only one who didn't have powers. Which is why I lost my eye. [He quotes Nathan Fillion, who played the evil priest, Caleb.] "Oh, you're the one who sees everything. Let's see what we can't do about that."
TVGO: Ugh! That was a gory scene, when Caleb poked your eye out! Brendon: If we do the Buffy film, I'm gonna be wearing an eye patch. Let's not have Willow just fix it [with magic]. Let's do the patch.
TVGO: Did that hurt? Brendon: Nathan just had a prosthetic thumb, with a wire running up his arm [to make it retract]. But the fake blood got in my eye. It was a fructose-based liquid. It felt kind of like soap! I had to do an eyewash.
TVGO: You mentioned a movie. Will Buffy hit the big screen? Brendon: We've talked about it. I'm sure if it happens, it'd be in a couple of years.
TVGO: So nobody's actually signed on the dotted line to do it yet? Brendon: No, no, no. Joss just always wanted to make the movie. We've only been off the air seven months, so we're just trying to catch our breath.
TVGO: Do you think Buffy bungled the long-simmering Xander/Willow romance by pretending Willow didn't really love him all those years? They had her in love with Oz, then made her Tara's girlfriend. Brendon: That's a question for the writers. I don't want to p--- anybody off. [Laughs] Too bad they never brought it up again after Season 3. I would love to have made out with Tara and Willow.
TVGO: Wait a sec. You're not disappointed you lost out on Willow. You just want the straight guy's fantasy of romancing two lesbians?! Brendon: Yeah, gimme a shot! Let's have a little threesome.
TVGO: Oh my! Anyway, has it been hard to move on since Buffy wrapped? Brendon: It was my first job, so it was very emotional for me. But you get over it, and I still see and talk to all my buds.

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/arts/3379531.stm When Harry met Sally...in London
By Keily Oakes BBC News Online entertainment staff
When Harry Met Sally is one of the most successful film comedies of all time, not least because of Meg Ryan's famous fake orgasm scene. US actors Alyson Hannigan and Luke Perry face the unenviable task of taking the romantic plot to the stage at London's Theatre Royal.
Alyson Hannigan and Luke Perry will make their West End debut The pair follow in the footsteps of many US stars, including Nicole Kidman, Madonna and Gillian Anderson, who have come to London to "develop their craft" in the West End.
Hannigan and Perry are both best-known for memorable characters.
Hannigan, 29, played lesbian witch Willow in the hit series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, while Perry, 38, played bad boy Dylan in Beverly Hills 90210.
Chemistry
This will be Hannigan's first foray into theatre, saying the last time she was on stage was in high school.
Perry joked that for the youthful-looking Hannigan "that was only last week".
Perry, who found fame in 90210, has more experience, appearing on Broadway's Rocky Horror Show.
Both realise they have a challenge on their hands taking on the roles played by Ryan and Billy Crystal.
"I think that after the first few minutes people will see our chemistry and not think about the film," said Hannigan.
Perry added: "I think Billy Crystal would agree, the story is bigger than the actors."
Both decided to do the play because they are fans of the film, which was released in 1989.
'Sign me up'
"I loved the movie. I love the things it says about men and women and relationships," said Perry.
"It's never going away. I truly believe its going to be a classic."
Hannigan said: "This was such an amazing opportunity to come to London, which is one of my favourite cities, and I just thought 'sign me up'."
On the delicate subject of recreating Ryan's fake orgasm scene, Hannigan joked she has been practising "all the time".
Musician-of-the-moment Jamie Cullum and his brother Ben are providing the music to the play, reworking music from the movie as well as scoring original songs.
The play is initially taking ticket bookings up to 29 May, but Perry hopes it will be going for at least six months, jokingly pointing out that Phantom of the Opera has been playing in the West End for years and they could follow suit.
Drawback
But Hannigan may have other ideas, having recently married actor Alexis Denisof who she met on the set of Buffy before he moved to its sister show Angel.
"Being away from him was the biggest drawback to the job," she said.
"I've been offered a few things that would have taken me away from home since we got married and they were easy to turn down.
"But this was too good to say no to."
She added that they have every kind of technology to keep them in touch, and was excited at the prospect of him coming to London next week.
Buffy has now come to an end after seven series, and with such a cult following it is easy to see Hannigan having difficultly shaking off her Willow character.
Advice
But she said that starring in the recent movie American Wedding, the third in the American Pie series, and a development deal for a sitcom has meant she has been able to move on quickly.
Hannigan stepped up the aisle in American Wedding - the third American Pie film Perry, still remembered for his 90210 days despite numerous movie roles, said he took some sound advice on how to deal with his past from one 's most famous characters - The Fonz.
"Henry Winkler gave me some advice, he said 'you created something out of nothing and people are going to remember that for a very long time'," said Perry.
Now both Perry and Hannigan will be hoping they can put their own stamp on two of movie histories much-loved characters, Harry and Sally.
When Harry Met Sally opens at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, London, on 20 February.

Trachtenberg Is Disney's 'Ice Princess' Fri January 9, 2004 02:11 AM ET
By Chris Gardner
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Michelle Trachtenberg ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer") is skating to "Ice Princess," a Disney comedy described as "Flashdance" meets "Bring It On."
She would play a brainy ugly duckling who realizes her dream of becoming a champion figure skater with the help of physics, a disgraced coach, three snooty ice princesses, a chorus of stage parents and the hunky boy who drives the Zamboni ice resurfacing machine.
Shooting is scheduled to start in late March or early April with Andrew Waller at the helm.
Trachtenberg is also in early negotiations for a four-episode arc on HBO's "Six Feet Under." She would play Celeste, a pop singer who is protected by Keith Charles (series regular Michael St. Patrick).
Trachtenberg next stars in the DreamWorks comedy "Eurotrip," set for release next month, followed by the indie drama "Mysterious Skin" for director Gregg Araki.

From Comics Continuum www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0401/31/index.htmGHOSTS OF ALBION NOVELS Steve Saffel, editorial director of media projects for Del Rey Books, has signed on Amber Benson and Christopher Golden to co-author a series of original novels based upon their BBCi animated online drama Ghosts of Albion. Benson, best known for her portrayal of Tara on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is an actress/writer/director whose most recent work includes the upcoming independent films Latter Days and Chance (which she also wrote, produced and directed). Among Benson's other film credits are The Crush, Bye Bye Love, Imaginary Crimes and Steven Soderbergh's King of the Hill.
Golden is a Bram Stoker Award-winning writer best known for his novels The Boys Are Back in Town, The Ferryman, Strangewood, and The Gathering Dark. Golden is also the author of the Body of Evidence series of teen thrillers, and several bestselling Buffy and Angel tie-in novels. As a comic-book writer Golden has penned original tales for Batman, Spider-Man, Doctor Fate, Punisher and Hellboy.
Set in nineteenth-century London, Ghosts of Albion revolves around William and Tamara Swift, siblings who must use their family legacy of supernatural powers to protect England from an ancient evil that threatens to destroy the world. To this end, they enlist the help of the mystical "Ghosts of Albion," a trio of restless and heroic spirits from England¹s past: Lord Nelson, Lord Byron and Queen Bodicea.
Created and written by Benson and Golden, and directed by Benson, Ghosts of Albion originally launched at BBC online last March as a series of original 12-minute animated chapters, and featured vocal talents such as Emma Samms and Anthony Daniels. The online series won Special Commendation at the 2003 Prix Europa Awards, an award that recognizes the best in European television, radio and web production. Ghosts of Albion soon became a cult favorite, was listed by USA Today as a "Hot Site," and went on to generate a sequel, the original online novella Astray.
"Working on the animated serial version of Ghosts of Albion was wonderful, but we've really only scratched the surface," Golden said. "In the novels, we'll have the space to enrich our characters, and you can bet that's going to make their lives darker, nastier, more complex and far sexier. Working with Amber is a pleasure. She¹s remarkably talented, a Renaissance woman,D and her mind is even more devious than mine."
"It's fantastic to think that after years of being a voracious reader, I have the opportunity to join the ranks of those very authors that inspired me as a child," Benson said. "Chris and I are honored to have Del Rey as the new literary home of the Ghosts of Albion universe. I can't wait to get down into the really dark places of early Victorian England. We've created an enormous mythology for the series, and it just keeps growing."
The first of Del Rey's Ghosts of Albion novels is currently scheduled to appear in Fall 2005.

The Guardian www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,3604,1142023,00.html Ready to slay 'em in the aisles
Having an orgasm onstage in the West End version of When Harry Met Sally might be a daunting prospect - but after playing Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alyson Hannigan fears nothing, she tells Gareth McLean
Friday February 6, 2004 The Guardian
There is a certain inevitability to Alyson Hannigan's arrival on the West End stage. As Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she was part of a long-running show for seven years. Her likeness features on all manner of merchandise from fridge magnets to mugs, mouse mats and board games. "You know you've reached a certain point when your character has an action figure," she smiles, a poseable doll having been made in her image. Google her name and you get about 232,000 results. From Buffy she bounced into movies. Unlike her co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar, Hannigan eschewed horror (Gellar opted for I Know What You Did Last Summer), and in contrast to Katie Holmes, who went from Dawson's Creek to Doug Liman's Go, she also avoided indie. Instead, she chose comedy. As Michelle in the smutty American Pie trilogy, she was known for her "One time, at band camp ... " proclamation, which for most of the movie, marked her out as a geek, until she finally finished her sentence saucily with a reference combining her flute and her nether regions. One of the few stars to weather all three films, she can currently be seen grinning out from phone boxes, billboards and posters across the country promoting the trilogy on DVD.
It is therefore - for such is the scheme of these things - about time she did theatre. And so here she is, in London in rehearsals for a stage version of When Harry Met Sally, alongside Luke Perry, alumnus of the original gleaming teen drama, Beverly Hills 90210. It will be her professional stage debut. "I might as well start big, right? Skip the baby steps and take a huge leap."
With much harrumphing about the Americanisation of the West End, there is also an inevitability to a hostile reception for Hannigan. Such is the pedigree of the production (a couple of American stars; a director - Loveday Ingram - with a track record in undemanding commercial work; jazz kid Jamie Cullum providing the music à la Harry Connick Jr), it seems unlikely that Nicholas de Jongh, the London Evening Standard's theatre critic, will revise the opinion he aired when Friends' Matthew Perry opened in Sexual Perversity in Chicago: "Producers should stop palming us off with third-rate plays that they believe can be decorated with any youngish, film-starry Americans."
When the play opens, Hannigan will probably need one of those protection spells employed so ably by Willow in Sunnydale. Critics, after all, can be demons.
And Hannigan is self-effacing and engaging, even when she is drooling over you. Especially when she is drooling over you, actually. I would like to take it personally, but really can't. She is digging into a Wagamama bucket and, as she slurps, spatters my notes with noodle juice. She apologises with an impish grin. "You'll be able to sell those on eBay now," she jokes, while I marvel at an American actress who actually eats. And noodles too. "I love my carbs," she enthuses, continuing to sing the praises of dough balls and wrinkling her nose at the mention of the Atkins diet.
Hannigan herself is upbeat about the play. She admits to being petrified but it has, she says, always been a dream of hers to appear in the West End. It has been one fostered by actor Alexis Denisof, her recently acquired husband, whom she met on the set of Buffy. He lived in the UK for 13 years and has a background in theatre. She is pragmatic about Theatreland's so-called Americanisation.
"First of all, this play takes place in New York so I think it's better with Americans. And, you know, a lot of you English people come to America. I think it's give and take, and it's a good sign. To come here is something that people view as a great thing in your career. I do understand that it's becoming more and more popular, but I don't care if you hate me for doing it. I wanted to come to prove to myself that I could do it."
And what about taking such a well-known film and putting it on stage, particularly as it is so well-known for that iconic scene in which Meg Ryan's Sally fakes an orgasm in a diner? "I can see why people think it shouldn't be tampered with because the movie was so wonderful. I think it's going to be one of those things that's going to have a life of its own for years and years and years. Like The Producers. It really works on stage."
Hannigan has, however, been avoiding watching the movie since she started rehearsals. "I don't want to make the wrong choice just to be different from what Meg Ryan did, but, at the same time, I'm not doing an impersonation."
Inexorably, the talk turns to orgasms. "I've been practising and I have gotten over the embarrassment factor. Every time I do it, I get more and more confident and bigger and bigger. Now I have to learn how to do it from my diaphragm rather than my throat. I have been hurting my throat. I need to be more," she pauses, grasping for a word, "guttural."
Indeed.
There still is a problem though. "When I'm doing it, my ears get really hot and turn red. So I'm hoping my hair will be down."
As a performer who started in commercials at three years old, and did movies and various guest parts in sitcoms such as Roseanne before she landed Buffy, it could be that Hannigan doesn't need to be worried. When her friend Anthony Head left the latter series, Hannigan landed the much-coveted "and" at the end of the opening titles, and having been part of an ensemble in the first two American Pies, she became, in effect, one of the third instalment's two main stars, earning a reported £1m for reprising Michelle. Beneath her easygoing perkiness, you sense a steeliness and an ambition.
Testament to that is her development deal with NBC. Focused on working on her comedy ("In Buffy, we got to do it all, but towards the end, the comedy was farther and farther away. Once my girlfriends started dying, there weren't so many chuckles.") She is doing a sitcom pilot for the American network. "I met with a bunch of writers and producers, listened to what their ideas were and then got to pick the one I liked the best. It's pretty obnoxious, isn't it? It's amazing I'm getting sent scripts to choose one."
And having moved on to London, she is very excited about something most unexpected. "I love I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! English reality television is so much better than American reality television. I think it's the self-deprecating humour," she says.
Whatever her reviews, you suspect that Hannigan might just weather whatever the West End throws at her.

Metropoint.comMichelle Trachtenberg, 19, has just scored a part on “Six Feet Under,” completed a dark indie drama and is rehearsing for a movie about an ice princess. But to most fans, she’ll always be Dawn, the cute, snarky kid sister on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Next week, in response, the former child star is out to prove she ’s all grown up - in the best Hollywood way possible.
She appears in “Eurotrip,” a raunchy comedy in which four high school grads head to Prague and other far-flung locales, downing pot brownies, skipping to nude beaches and meeting creepy Italian guys. Trachtenberg wears a string bikini and makes out with exotic dudes - including her on--screen twin brother.
Metro talked to the actress about her career, the un-Dawn like part and about why she ’d rather head to Prague than go to college.
So you make out with your brother in this movie ...
Well, we get drunk off our asses and my brother and I start going at it and then - surprise!
How does this comedy differ from past teen flicks filled with crazy sex jokes?
I want to make sure people know - this is not a sequel. This is raunchy, funny, like “Road Trip.” But the difference between that and this - there’s more character development in this movie. So it’s funnier. You get to laugh at them when they’re eating pot brownies because you know them.
So no sexual relations with pies? How disappointing.
What?!? Brother and sister making out doesn’t do it for you? Alright, I’ll let you know, I personally have a slow-motion sexy bikini scene. That’s the point in the move when the audience realizes she’s a woman.
Yes, on the poster, your breasts are hanging out. How does it feel when they use your sexuality to promote a film?
That’s what the genre is about. The movie is about teen sex and, listen, sex sells. That ’s not breaking news. Now, I didn’t choose the poster. But as long as everyone is having fun....You know, I’m young. I might as well show off while I can.
You ’re 19. Do you see college in your future?
I applied and did my SATs, which were a bitch but I got good scores. I applied to my two top choices and got in. But then I took a year off because I’d like to get into the producing side [of movies ]. It’s good to further your education but if your doing something you love, why put a hold on it?
How are students supposed to choose between studying and running away to Europe?
It ’s wonderful to take a year off before you go to college, or take a year off during. Go party, get it all out of you and then go back to school and focus. Just don’t go to a party school. College is all about responsibility.
Speaking of which, was there any truth to the rumors about you continuing with “Buffy ” after it was canceled?
I really enjoyed my time on “Buffy ” because it was my favorite show. But I didn’t see myself continuing as Dawn because I like to have diversity in my roles. A lot of people are like: “Oh my God! Little Dawn grew up!” And as much as I love you guys, suck it up. I love “Buffy ” but I felt like every year, my character got younger as I got older. The scripts even had me speaking grammatically incorrect. So I had to do something else. Besides, the show is over. If you miss it, get the DVDs.Oh my... And her birthday is October 11, 1985... that makes her 18, not 19... Wonder if I could lure Phillip into taking me to see this... ya know, with the bikini girls and everything... oh wait, he has no car...

And here's JIG's WHMS report ok i'm back and heres my little report
When we first got there, we went straight round the back and already there was a crowd, this being 3 hours before the show was set to start. So we went off to lunch and came back.....i couldnt believe my luck i had missed Alyson and Alexis by 2 minutes  So unfortunately i didnt get to meet Alyson, Luke, Joss or Alexis...but hey got to see them in the flesh lol. It was about 10 mins before the play was going to start and i happened to look to my left and i said (very loud lol) OMG thats Alexis Denisof, *everyone then turns* Then i spot Joss Whedon behind him, so i pointed and said OMG joss whedon lol So my mum and dad are like "which one?" so i point at Joss and he looks me straight in the eye and i smiled and he smiled back.
The Play then started and oh isnt Aly so small lol She looked really sweet and Luke looked gorgeous, completely different to the days in 90210. Well what can i say about the play, it is fantastic. Great use of the stage, the scenes were dealt with really well, the Big 'O' scene is so funny, and definitely deserved the cheering and clapping Aly got  Luke and Alyson have such a great chemistry and didnt miss a beat with their lines. It went really fast but its definitely worth the £40 we paid and i would recommend it to anyone.
Me and my mum then shot outside to the stage door and already there was quiet a big crowd so we got as near to the front as possible and waited. My dad then came out and i looked over to him and said OMG alexis denisof and all these girls heard me and started running for him lol I sent my dad down with the camera and then i ran down. Sadly Alexis didnt sign any autographs and rushed inside. Though i have to say i am jealous of my mum who he bumped into and said 'excuse me' to her, i know its not much but its the little things that count lol A few of the other cast members came out then i heard someone say Alyson had left out the front. Well i didnt believe it, i was thinking that Aly know how many people wanted to meet her she wouldnt just leave, but sadly she did, so i was very disappointed . But i think its understandable it looked like her and Alexis had a dinner date and the amount of people there, well i dont think she would of finished signing by the time the next performance was due to start lol I was hoping to wait for Luke but it didnt seem as he was coming out either and my mum and dad were rushing me on so sadly i didnt see him either. But like i say the show is great and hey i'm just happy to see them in the flesh lol

Hair is different than we last saw him and he may have lost some weight... and he has an earring... It's going to be on ABC Family Channel, but I missed what the date was... some time in March I think...
