He always seems to be asked a lot of the same questions at Cons (and at some precious time is wasted by daft eejits just telling him he's hot! For gawd's sakes, we know that, HE knows that, ask something meaningful! Lol!), and has some stock answers to these... and who can blame him, having to go over the same stuff every time. But I am an Info Queen and need to know more, need to hear new stuff! A few of us Bloody Spikers are going to various conventions this year and will maybe get the chance to ask him something, if we are brave enough! So, whether you are one of the lucky ones to be seeing him this year or not, what questions would you like to ask him... or would you like us to ask for you? I'm just off to think it over.....
*No Marilyn, you can't ask THAT!!!*

I think I'd like to ask him something from our This Or That game.... lol, not one of the saucy ones! But along the lines of: If he could star in ANY play on a well-known stage (but NOT Macbeth, anyway, he's done that), what would it be and why? If money was no object but he had three job offers all come in together so he could only choose one, would it be - lead role in a West End/Broadway play, small role in a major movie, or recurring but not main character in a series? And why? Where in the world would he most like to travel for pleasure, and why? What period in history would he like to visit in a Time Machine, and why?

He must have felt a bit of a plonker when he was having to do his "exercises" in bed, that's for sure... but then he might veer off into his well-rehearsed patter about THE SOCK!! (pic of said sock now in the Caption This thread in F&G, by the way!)

Lol, well he certainly knows of us after last year's presentation at SFX and the scrapbook! But what kind of an answer could he really give? Well, I don't use the net but I'm sure they are very nice...

Incogni2 thinks we should ask him if he thinks "Romeo and Juliet" is a tragedy, or did they just take the easy way out..... hmmmm.....

Having never been to one of these conventions, (could be a new business I should look into) any question I may think of could be completely unoriginal. I would be curious as to what was the greatest compliment he's received during his acting career and who gave it to him. If you all know the answer, please feel free to post it.

That's a pretty good question! Somebody should ask that one. Romeo and Juliet was an accident, not an easy way out. Mind you, a lack of communication was at fault, no texting in those days tsk. i'll luk ded - fakin it. Just hang in there..... would have averted such a tragedy!

LMAO!! ttyl....... ;D
James "does" a few accents, but he has never had to do one for so long as Spike's English one.... does it affect his "normal" speech ever or does he turn it on and off like a tap?

That's like this video interview I've got of him talking about Spike. Sometimes he spoke in the third person (Spike, he, him) and sometimes in the first (I, me, my) when speaking of Spike. Spilt personalities, anyone? ;D A question might be (along the lines of the accent thing) does he sometimes do things that Spike would do without realizing it? Like duck away from sunlight, etc. May sound dumb, but he's been this character for how long now? Some of it's bound to have stuck!

I'd have to ask him how he would see his relationship developing with Angel if he should be offered a permanent slot in ATS.

Here's a question I'd love to know the answer to, but it'd be kind of rude to ask him: Did he ever get... um... "randy" during any of his intimate scenes with SMG? I mean, come on - Something Blue? She was sitting and squirming around on his lap for goodness sakes! Guys' bodies just have reactions to that kind of thing.

In reading some of the Q&A stuff from Cleveland, talking about short shoot times it got me to thinking. As a stage actor, part of the job is creating the subtext of your character, the subconcious thought behind the actual lines. Since you have rehearsals and longer runs of doing the same play over and over, an actor has a lot more time to develop this. James mentioned getting lines and having to shoot 3 days (or less?) later. Does he still fill in the gaps mentally between the lines? Often, you can watch an actor and actually see a look like "ok, now it's my line". I love just watching James, even when he's in the background because you can always see the wheels churning. I also have a second part to the question. Again, comparing stage and screen. On stage, an audience can actually give off an 'energy' an actor can feed and play off of and audiences can take on individual personalities which can change an actors approach to the same play, same lines. In filming, does he rely on just the other actors or does he get that same kind of 'energy' from stage crew, etc. like an audience?
Edit: Forget this question, just ready Q&A that covered it.

Sorry for double posting, but a question came to me today. Trying to think of something different to ask that he would not have a stock answer for. Ask him, when faced with adversity, is he a Carrot, an Egg or a Coffee Bean? It was an email I got from a friend some time ago. When thrown into a pot of boiling water, a carrot will soften & become weak; an egg will harden and sometimes crack; a coffee bean will change the water.
