And why not rosie ? ...you only have one life to live , spend it doing something you want to do Isn't it a shame that we only realise this as we approach middle age If only I was 21 again and know what I know now !

There goes more of the divorce money - best way of spending it! So, I've never been to New York!

Thanks M - they must have just updated this, cos when I looked yesterday, it still said "info coming soon" I'll get onto it a bit later - when NY has woken up! ETA - OMG - why the hell cant I get anywhere with this - everytime I ring up (and i think I have rung 6 times now...) I get so far and then no one answers the phone, or (as in the first instance) I got half way through, and she said "one minute please" and then disappeared for ever - i couldnt afford to hold on any longer... Ive had an answer machine, nothing, a automated booking service for the whole of USA.. I just want to book this one weekend - what is WRONG with these people??

Thanks for links - but they have a special rate just for the convention - cheaper than anything I can find on net so far. ($139 a night as opposed to $153 which is cheapest so far and the theres taxes an stuff on top, so its very annoying I cant get any sense on the phone!)

This just up on the JMLive site ... 14 May - News from James James has accepted a fantastic new acting role from a UK company. We will share more details with you about the project once producers have given us the okay to do so. However, we wanted to tell you as soon as possible because unfortunately it conflicts directly with the Fangoria Convention of June 21-22 in New Jersey. As of now we still expect to be able to attend DragonCon in August, but must cancel the earlier event and we apologize for the inconvenience we know this will cause to some of you.
Good news and bad news all in one post ....so sorry rosie , i know you've been looking forward to this one

I have to say I'm not completely suprised cos there was rumours of this at Collectormania and that with the possibility of the new work James wouldn't make his Fangoria appearance. Glad the man has got work (especially if its with a UK compny - over here more often so we get to see him more often ?? But of course, I'm still gutted. Completely. I may well still go - I've never been to New York - but it wont be the same. I'll have to think about it. oh bugger

I'm sure I will get refunds on the James tickets already bought for Fangoria- will have to flog my gold pass on ebay! - and I could cancel the hotel - not sure about the flights though. And like I said - never been to NY before so it would be a bit of a shame to miss out.
But its still not the same. Bugger. Again.
I'm going to bed to weep a bit
