James is going back to his rock 'n' roll roots and cranking up the volume with a hard rockin' concert in London.
He will be strapping on his guitar and stepping up to the microphone at The Borderline at Manette Street, Orange Yard, on Wednesday, April 30.
The evening will kick off with an informal Q&A and will be followed by an intimate concert. The bar will also stay open late after the show, with free entry into the club night afterwards. Every ticket holder will also be entered into a free prize draw for a personalised autograph.
A limited number of £30 tickets are now on sale for the one-off rock date.
Go to JMLive for ticket and venue info

Doesn't matter how fast I am - someone always gets on first! Dee Dee now sitting alongside me! Great gig - lovely and intimate- tho the lighting was a bit crap for photos - i have some but prob no great ones. James back on form, all bouncy and happy - lots of Q and A with a few cheeky questions. we heard a bit more about when he dated the porn star(!) ;D He apologised for saturday and said it was a combo of jet lag and stomach flu and that Gareth, Kai and Steve (and janice the actress that sang with Steve and then gareth. She was sat next to me at the Rift) did a better job than he would have done that night! Think Kai's jokes were right on! ;D Great gig - cant remember the set list exactly - did start with For what i Need (yummy - one of my favourites!) and sang Smile, Millionaire, Birth of the Blues, Louise, Dangerous, Angel, Up on Me Civilised man, Button Down Vandals. Sounded great and his voice is as good as ever. And he looked HOT! Black sleevless shirt and jeans i think (couldnt see his legs!) all smiley and lovely. yum!

Just found this in Time Out. How many things can they get wrong in one short paragraph? jeez guys - do some research....! It's Spike! From 'Buffy'! He's dyed his hair black! He wears leather strides! He fronts a rock band! The audience will be full of portly, sci-fi-loving women of a certain age! Who won't care that James's band are shit! He does a song called 'London Town'! Jesus!www.timeout.com/london/music/events/718907/james_marsters.htmlI suppose its cool to diss something you know nothing about completely - even when you are talking out of your arse! UPDATE: actually now I think its rather funny cos its SO wrong. Is it 3 years since GOTR split? get up to date people! And I am a portly sci-fi loving woman of a certain age! (the only thing they got right!) ;D ;D

Rosie Goes to Borderline.. Borderline gig – Wednesday 30th April 2008 - Borderline Club, Orange Yard, Manet Street, London Not too much to say about this cos its all been said already. I told Steve Himber that I had him dancing on video and could I blackmail him with it and he said was I the one who put it on YouTube and I said no – so I can’t use it after all – damn! ;D James was looking fit and well and rested and was on bouncy form. Wearing jeans (I think – never saw his bottom half!) and a black sleeveless t-shirt. Q and A was great fun and went on far longer than normal (think Steve must have caught what James had like he said and so wasn’t concentrating!!) We learnt some more stuff about him – he is ticklish round the middle and he loves Swiss chocolate! - and we learnt some interesting stuff about one of his ex’s – Felony the porn star! (though some of that came out at the Rift – we learnt more tonight!). And as one person said – when he was asked if he was ever going to come to Germany, he said “I’m going to Germany on Tuesday actually” there was the sound of hearts breaking all across the room….!! The gig was great – lovely to hear him sing “For What I Need” and “Smile” live for the first time. Sounded great – voice was good and he was very relaxed. Pity the lighting was rubbish – blue light on James so he does look like a smurf in most of my pics – the flash made it look horrible cos I was about 10 yards away from the stage – right in the middle which is where I discovered its not the best place to be when he is on a fixed mic – as it always gets in the way of all the shots. But some okay ones. It was good – but all that standing nearly killed us all – and the fact that I had a Romanian woman one side of me (who pushed and tried to get in front of me but I stood my ground and stuck my elbows out and wouldn’t let her) and 2 French ladies the other side of me and German lady behind – it was very multi-cultural!

Hi Ladies, Ulla is a great photographer and as others have said very generous and down to earth. She was my roomie for Celtic Blues and as a thank you for sharing she gave me some pics she had taken at Spring Fever, god they were gorgeous. If she has spares with her she charges 50p for a copy and boy are they worth it for they're top quality. Here are a few I took: I had a great time but mostly I remember getting very soggy standing in the rain but I had great chats with everyone. I was right front of James so I also had the mic in the way problem Chris
