I've started this for anyone watching this great new French drama who is already puzzled and perplexed yet gripped ;D One thought that I had was that people have to die in order for someone to return from the dead but I don't think that theory holds water. I've been very confused with people coming back from different years. I had'nt realised that until Rainbow pointed it out

I started off thinking they were all from the coach.. I wonder why they are hungry but don't sleep also lots of aggression....

What about your theory about Victor Rainbow?

Dawned on me in ep 1 that we weren't looking at the coach crash victims all coming back; but only when Simon was at his own grave and we saw the date on the headstone.
Also, the old fella who hurled himself into the receding waters had a bunch of photos from different time periods who could all be returnees, and the woman who had returned to him I assumed was his wife... and he was far more freaked out than anyone else having a visiting 'dead' person so he must have either seen it happen before and/or knew it was A VERY BAD THING, I reckon.
Talking of, her body not being found in the fire was very interesting and raises questions (was that her in the 2nd ep caff btw, where Simon went mental?). The automatic doors at the library didn't respond to Simon (although he shows up on caff's CCTV). And creepy 'Victor' did the jumpy out of building thing, only to be seen perfectly fine and inside moments later.

it wasn't my theory Pluto.. I thought Victor's carer was a previous victim of the underpass attacker but someone on the forum suggested she might have lost her unborn child in the attack.. and that child is Victor.. lots of holes in the theory but intriguing... yes that was Mrs Costa scoffing at the cafe.. and did Mr Costa jump off the dam because it is linked and why do the lights flicker for some people and not others....

Yes, I meant Mr Costa, ta for reminding me. None of the returnees has aged so unless Victor is entirely different to them he doesn't look much like a foetus When we saw Julie's scars my first thought was that she'd been a previous victim of the 'killer'... btw, how on earth did the barmaid survive last week's attack?! That dog didn't find her five minutes later, did it?! So she'd been lying there losing blood for hours. And did the dog do a Skippy and run off to tell the emergency services? ;D Just remembered how Simon said to Adele "We'll sleep when we're dead" on their wedding eve. Or maybe not, Simon.

I really must pay more attention I wondered whether Mr Costa was very religeous and his faith wouldn't allow him to believe in the undead. I'm sure that's far too simple a theory I feel really sorry for Simon Victor definitely has a very strong attachment to Julie, foetus or not

Um, one assumes his religion would be Christian and probs Catholic; it's built on a guy returning from the dead.... as one of the characters (was it yucky Pierre, don't trust him) alluded to in ep 1.

Me too! I never know what's going on at the best of times! I've learnt more from reading this thread than from watching the prog! ;D Yeah, that lady (Mrs Costa) in the cafe never mithered that Simon was laying into that guy, she just carried on eating. It's all very spooky and that kid gives me the heebiejeebies. Why is the water receding? So it has to do with the water... Daughter thought that the photo of Simon from the noticeboard should have been more dogeared from being up there for time. They should be more careful about these things. Also, if the liver eating guy came back was there a hole where his grave was next to his mother? I said to H, they've all obviously come back wrong like Buffy.

Actually, I'd like the returnees' graves to be dug up to see if they are in their coffins or not!
We know when they 'return' they aren't climbing out of their graves, coz Camille had a right old cross-country trek to get home and Simon ambled off to visit his pristine grave.
But they are solid in the here and now, so if their remains are still buried that raises even more questions!
ETA - oh, they wouldn't do a variation of a 'Bodysnatchers' on us would they?!

I can't remember the Bodysnatchers If they do dig up graves I'll be hiding behind a cushion

Gordluvus, I'm never gonna be a Sherlock Holmes...good one PK. I never thought of any of that. Bodysnatchers, all versions, I found fabulous, but I hope it's not that, as old hat. Anyways, they seem themselves except hungry sleepless and aggressive. They don't sparkle do they?

Saw a trailer earlier and look look, there were graves, and even a morgue freezer thingy. I nearly choked on my nutty bar! Is it nearly Sunday?!

The US is probably busy making their own version (not as good). Subtitles don't seem to go down a bundle in the States Saw the trailer again. The teen boys looking in grave had faces, and I swear someone was in one of those slidey-in chillers in the morgue and kicked its door open *gulp*
