I'm kinda bored, but too tired to do anything constructive about it! So I was thinking about men, lol! Caught the last half hour of a Man from UNCLE movie last night and was pleased to see one of my first ever crushes still kicking in! So I thought I would confess to my first loves and sit back and wait for y'all to do the same ;D Some of you know my first true love was.... Andy Pandy. For those not in the know, he was a somewhat camp puppet, about whom I could now happily write slash fic - AndyPandy/Teddy. ;D Here he is: I was not immune to the charms of other puppets, a little bit later - Troy Tempest from Stingray, and Captain Blue from Captain Scarlet (now I think I'd have a bit of a thing for Captain Black, dark character, with that ciggie hanging out of his mouth permanently, and a bit of stubble). But it wasn't total adoration. Likewise with another camp crush, Robin from the Batman series. So, the next real true love was David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin, even though he was never allowed as much glory or shagging as Napolean Solo *pffft* There's a lot of UNCLE slash on the net... I must get round to reading some of it The next one was Pete Duel as Hannibal Heyes/Smith in Alias Smith and Jones - such a big smile and a great delivery of quippy and crappy lines ;D True love #4 was my hot and heavy thing for Oliver Tobias as Arthur of the Britons. I still have hot flushes thinking about it now ;D Sort of round the same time I was in lust with the dark-haired astronaut in the Planet of the Apes series, but that isn't the same thing! Ah, and then there was Avon (Blake's 7)... and he's still deep in my heart. I was finding snark and sneer and complicated characters sexy as I moved into my mid to late teens, obviously. But jeez, I had to wait SUCH a long time for the next such guy to come along... SPIKE!

I was excluding the actual real people from this list, just the characters they played. And I don't know what it is about puppets, but some of them were damn handsome and great characters, weren't they?! I found the Thunderbirds boys too goody goody and clean cut, Ditto. Andy Pandy was the exception to my general rule of liking bad boys or edgy characters. Even Captain Blue had a slightly knowing air, and a bit of edge... DeeDee, I probably had that same poster! And I had a life size one (it was in two parts, from a magazine I think) of Pete as Hannibal. His death was a real shock, wasn't it. But we were pretty young then so it wasn't something we knew a lot about, I guess. Yeah, James Naughton, but I can't remember the character's name at all. But I had some extremely adult thoughts about him!

Aw, Potsie was cute. An idiot, but cute, lol!
And OMG, I sued to watch Sons and Daughters eons ago, when I was unemployed for a while! Lol. Remember way back when, the boy and girl who turned out to be bro and sis? Happens a lot in soaps! Well, I kinda liked the blond boy but can't remember his name. I'm sure you can help me out there, Toy. Was Wayne the obnoxious older son of ... was Gordon the daddy? It's been a while...

OMG you watched Sons and Daughters It was pretty bloody awful wasn't it? ;D Yep, Gordon was Wayne's Daddy. I loved Wayne 'cause he was so snarky ;D The blond boy Maybe Andy or Craig. My memory isn't that great and I have no idea what their last names were! LMAO at the boy and girl who turned out to be brother and sister. I think back then that was regarded as a ground breaking story line

Oh I don't know, back in those days it was pretty good at doing steamy frustration and angst. And the actress playing Patricia was a brilliant villain! I caught a few episodes much much later in the series and it was bewilderingly bad, though. One of our channels does reruns in the middle of the night but I've no idea where they are up to.
I just remembered the name of the Man From UNCLE film that was on last week; The Helicopter Spies. Illya looked lush in his tight sixties suit *swoon*

Ah "Pat the Rat" She was brilliant. Rowena Wallace (the actor that played her) was always brilliant when she was cast as an evil, manipulative villain. I think she's fallen on hard times now, something to do with fraud I think, but don't quote me on it.

I only remember wanting Trigger for my very own....didn't need Roy Rogers..... when I was really young! Then I don't remember much of a fantasy until Luke Skywalker....and Tom Selleck as Magnum rang my chimes......but I've got a thing now for this guy who comes on a kiddie program that I make Gabriel watch...it's called Lazytown, and the good guy is named Sportacus....the show's created by him....real name Magnus Sheving....filmed in Iceland! He's got the most gorgeous body, very athletic and I could watch him stretch and move all day.....lmao! Go figure.....
