Just got home from the Islington gig(stayed in London until Sunday night) and have to say it was fantastic, thought James was well on form, yea rowdies were a pain, but guess it's all par for the course and James seems to thrive on it. Had to be up in the balcony area as arrived pretty late after travelling all day(and another shorty here). Swear James looked straight at me , knees went straight to jelly and have been floating ever since . Don't think I'll ever come down!!!!!!!!! Thought the whole set was just amazing, even when he stumbled on the new song, just makes him more human and loveable and big hug requireing , wish they'd put it out on a DVD and I could just relive it over and over. Work tomorrow! But heh who cares I've just seen James and tomorrow they are all going to know about it!!!!

Finally I'm posting my report (s) for the London gigs. Islington was fantastic. I was lucky enough to meet up with Night Nurse, Pixie, Dee Dee, Ditto Spike, Teebee, Rainbow, Pluto (there may have been more but names I forget.....sorry) before the gig . Every one was really nice and friendly and made me feel part of the gang which I really appreciate, thank you. We got in line around 6:30pm and the doors seemed to open fairly quickly and we got a good spot near the left hand side of the stage. We now had to wait one and a half hours before even the support came on which was agonising (the waiting not the support) We were all penned in like sheep experiencing foot and back pain from standing so long. Stryngs came on stage at around 8:30pm, I rather liked them and enjoyed their set. At 9:30pm ish on came James, literally, he just walked out, it surprised me a bit as I was expecting some kind of build up. He said Hi! and went straight in to his set starting with "Every man" He was on stage for just under an hour and fun seemed to be had all around, he was very into audience interaction more then I've seen at any of the GOTR gigs I've been to. (This was my first solo James gig) His voice was sounding great if not a bit wobbly at the start but soon improved as the night progressed. He had the whole academy rocking when he sang angel and Dangerous and gushing at Poor Robyn and Finer then gold which I loved especially when he nearly choked at the end. James sang a new song that he recently wrote about London town/city which was fun to listen to as he kept f***ing it up and had to restart on several occasions. Over all an excellent night, cant wait for tomorrow......! thank god it's a sit down gig not sure I could take standing for 4 hours again. (note to self, need to drink more alchol at the gigs to help numb crippling pain. VampLe'girlie

Glad you had fun Girlie, it was great putting another face to a name. 'catheters' NN How I long for those days when I could be at a gig or festival and not have to plan food, drinks, toilets, transport etc. Now at my advanced age everything has to be so planned out, 'should I have a drink or will I need the loo',

Hey Babybird. Did you do Islington on your own or with a friend? It's fun to meet up with people you see on the board as I am finding out. Sounds like you had a good time. ;D

Pluto, went with my best friend in all the world , who although she is a wonderful person in everyway , is not a James fan I don't understand it either , but there you go! Still I had a wonderful time, and it's worth dragging her with me, to see her face everytime I sigh and coo remembering the wonderful time I've had, brings it all back, all the clearer. I think it sounds like everyone had a wonderful time

lol, Babybird, I know what you mean! I dragged my best friend to a GotR gig last year, which she enjoyed, as she's into rock music (though not James ). I told her about Coventry, though, and she emailed me back that she was glad I'd got my kiss from "The One and Only", lol! How well she knows me... I would have had a better time if my feet and back hadn't been so ouchy! lol. Next time I'll take a leaf out of DeeDee's book and take a stool...
