Funny how they have a scapegoat handy already. Bush was saying yesterday how it was Iraq intelligence and also Saddam who was spreading the lies about having WOMD because he wanted a war fucking muppets. They'll both come out of it clean bit like the Hutton enquiry its all far to one sided for it to be honest or even vaguely truefull Makes me LMFAO about the Mars project though. I said last year that they will have to come up with life on Mars because they cant fake another moon landing, they did that to take peoples minds of the fuckup of Vietnam

Is anyone surprised though?! I think not. I feel I'm just being a realist assuming I'll never get the full/real truth from a politician. Even if the truth were fine to tell, I'm sure they'd still lie coz that's what comes naturally and therefore feels comfortable.

Just having a general rant to get it of my chest Well saturday was an amazing day. Went to Tescos to pick up my prescription. They couldnt find it. Waited nearly ten minuets when they found the presciption, but stupid doctor has only put one item on. Never mind I'll take just the one for now. No not that lucky Tesco doesnt have any in stock and I'llhave to wait till monday. Could of taken it to another chemist, but Tescos Assistant wasnt sure if it was the manufacturer that had run out or just Tescos and Mark did nt want to be traveling all over to find somewhere that had some in so no pain relief for me Im so happy NOT. get home my magazines that Ive been waiting to be delivered since thursday are still not here even though I was promised they would of turned up by saturday morning Two of his mates that I dont like decided they would drop in for a few hours so I hid in the bedroom. One of our neighbors called round to say it was her 40th birthday and that she was havinga party and the music may be a bit loud, but that she wouldnt stop it. And she wasnt fucking kidding I took a sleeping tablet at 7:30pm while it was still quietish, but once the party got into full swing after midnight I was woken up and could only drift in and out of sleep until 3am. So to say the least I didnt enjoy saturday.

Sending a and a to your neighbors, and a for you Az. Some people are so inconsiderate! And so late at night! Makes me mad just thinking about it... I think we can all relate to having bad neighbors!

Are there not laws against such things?

Not so as you'd notice, Cy. You can call the police, but it doesn't mean that as soon as they are gone it won't all start up again. And for persistant crap you are suppsed to get the local council involved, keep logs of what hapens when etc. It's all such a hassle for no result.
I would have hoped for better from a 40 year old.... but I guess she did at least tell you it was going to happen, Az. If you'd had a week's notice, mind you, it would have given you time to arrange to be elsewhere if you could and wanted to.
All this and no pain relief. Badbadbad. Hope you catch up on some sleep today petal.

There are laws Cy, but as PK says you have to get in touch with your local council and log reports. It takes 2 years to get them to do something, so one night events we just have to tolerate. Anyway music isnt that loud now. Seems that been 40 doesnt make you more considerate PK it means we all have to suffer. Its ok that she told us a couple of hours before, but its the arrogant attitude she had (Though it wasnt me that answered the door) with the Im havinga party, it will be a bit loud, but I wont stop. In other words just coming round to brag its my birthday today Im havinga party and tough shit if you dont like the noise because you cant stop me. Just what we expect from the slefish shits round here though.

Hell no, she's is special she is and so is her precious daughter. Had to have a gate put on the drive just in case her brat runs off into the road when mummy cant be arsed keeping an eye on her. Of course we all had to pay for it. Wouldnt mind, but theres more than one opening the brat could get out of

Poor you Az...I don't understand why folks don't hire a hall or something for these big do's...we did for mine and P's big 40, less clearing up, and the eternal gratitude of neighbours not disturbed by noise. Our new neighbours are a huge improvement on the last bastard ,despite the odd screaming match and an incessant need to hammer away at the walls at every given opportunity! The sound proofing we put in after said bastard made our lives a misery is a definite boon....but it's very difficult these days because of the way buildings have been constructed since the 60's. They weren't designed to cope with inconsiderate neighbours!

Tell me about it, NN! My dad used to be in construction and he was horrified when he checked out my dividing walls. Said they used to build them 6" thicker than that! But I'd be interested to know if the larger houses round here have better walls. The wee ones we live in are very rare, and no doubt were whipped up as cheap housing to satisfy the planners, originally (they ain't cheap now, let me tell ya!)

She probably didnt hire a room because she couldnt get us neighbours to pay for it like everything else Hope her flat is a tip this morning and when her brat gets home its screams its head off all day. Comapred to what your old neighbours sound like ours arent that bad. You know it would of been cheaper for you to hire a hitman than to soundproof your home? lol

I was seriosly considering getting my psycho brother to come and damage the old neighbour....but P is too law abiding! I can't really blame the new ones for all the DIY they're having to do...the last nutter used to kick the doors down and punched holes in the walls (when he wasn't punching his pregnant gf ) We had the police almost permanently outside the house for the 9 months he lived here!

Id of had him sorted out for what he did to his GF. I know some people dont agree with violence, but a bully like that doesnt learn by been nice to them. Then again a man who beats his woman would proabably be scared off with just a threat

Did anybody see that rally on the box over the weekend. That one eyed hook handed guy, on £1,000's of benefits and dissing the country. Chuck the git out! For goodness sake, we're too easy going, for sure. (I am not a nice person I know).

Didnt see it Ditto, but I dont like GB nor do I like Blair but thats mostly because as a native we suffer more. Like you said if they dont like the place then fuck off back home theres plenty of people that would be grateful for their place here

I don't know what rally it is you are talking about Ditto, but it is safer to steer clear of hot topics like this which tend to polarise and cause distress.
One person's opinion on race/immigration/refugees can be is another person's xenophobic/racist attack (albeit verbal). That kinda thing can be taken to other boards to mull over. Not here, thanks. Too hot to handle.
I edited this post because my original response proved it just is too hot a topic on a board that isn't actually about politics/current affairs! Although the gist hasn't changed.
