Oooh no thread made so I did it! For those of us left behind , teekay76 and Medusa at MTS have posted short reports here. And within Medusa's post is a link to her pics! ;D
Now to my comment on Oh how disgusting! And he also sucked a lolly that someone else licked!
Link to gotr-forums topic here. I edited this post way later to put the correct "message icon" on the thread.

I'm still wondering what on earth would posess him to do such a thing (re the t-word)... He is a guy, but I thought he was better than that... > I can see him taking a lick off a lolly then handing it back to them ("James licked my lolly... and then I did!"), but for them to lick it first? Maybe it's the "James ate my spit!" thing...

Duster has posted her report at Marsters Mobsters. Obviously the t-word incident was seen by all... ...because it's been mentioned at more than one board. PetiteMiel says "Him smelling it is such a guy thing to do." Yep... boys are so silly... and gross... !

LMAO. I was there, and it was great... ;D
Actually, the thing that most disturbed me was Charlie smashing up his guitar at the end. Such a waste of a guitar. And c'mon, he ain't Jimi Hendrix!
The lollipop... um, hope to heaven that whoever it was who licked it didn't have tonsilitis, glandular fever, mumps, or anything else equally unpleasant! It was quite funny when it hit him, though (when it was thrown onstage). He was just bending down to pick up a teddy ("Aww, thanks...") when it hit him, and he stood back up again, and said "Ow!" really carefully, but seemed to think it was quite funny! LOL. And the girl he asked to jump up and down (I tihnk she must have been well-endowed...). "Beautiful". Then someone - Charlie, I think - told him he was dirty, and he played all innocent: "Dirty? I'm not dirty. Did I say I was looking at her breasts?" LMAO. That was funny, and got quite a laugh!
Um, the -ahem- lingerie incident. Well... what are you going to do with underwear if it's thrown onstage? I'd have been more disturbed if he'd worn it! They were probably clean anyway, and thrown for a laugh *Pixie fervently hopes, cos it is actually just the teeniest bit gross*. I think he prolly did it just to get a reaction, the rebel!
Cutest thing was that he did one - or two? - of the songs actually holding the teddy that was thrown onstage at the beginning - how cute is that?! And he kissed it and cuddled it at the end. Aww, bless!
It was fantastic, anyway. (Though I honestly think Charlie should leave the singing to James and stick to the guitar, which he is GOOD at... sorry if you're a fan of Charlie's anyone, but he's nowhere near as good a singer as James, and it does show. Don't eat me, please).
But a really good evening, anyway. I got a t-shirt and a teddy... stuff was half price cos it was the last gig of the tour, apparently, so me was happyhappyhappy... got my t-shirt for a fiver, and teddy was £3... he's called James (obviously... how unoriginal of me!) and now sleeps in my bed, lmao! My friend Laura seemed to really enjoy herself, too, which I'm glad about. Seeing as I dragged her along!

Pixie, I didn't see you after the show. Glad you met up with your friend and had a good time. Next tour, we'll have to make proper arrangements. We could have sat in the pub for a couple of hours before the gig, quaffing the ale, like Maggie and Steve and them. I'm going to have to post your birthday card now, seeing as I forgot to give it to you. Back to say, don't worry about the waste of guitar, Twisty (I think it was Twisty) said he swapped it for a toy/fake one and smashed that up. GotR aren't that well off! Lol at RockGoddess for comparing Charlie to Pete Townsend, then amending with "I didn't just say that did I?" We're giving our age away girls, we must be more circumspect. Pete Townsend? Who's he when he's at home? We don't even remember punk!

Ok I'm shattered after doing the gig and the audience and a LOT of partying but I'll try to make sense
The Forum is an amazing venue and GOTR sold it out! I'm so proud of them!
We got there at 4.30 and the queue was already round the building. We were entertained by GOTR sound checking with what sounded like their entire set I loved this but was a little worried as James was really belting it out and I didn't want him to strain his voice before such a major show ( Most singers check just a few lines of each song) We had no hope at all of good spots in such a crowd but when we got in we were lucky enough to find spots on a little raised walkway at the side of the venue, the view was great and we passed the time chatting to friends and having fun..
Lazy Eye have been a brilliant support act on this tour but for this gig they made the classic mistake of responding to a bigger venue by turning the volume up to eleven, result the singer had to shout to make himself heard above the guitars and a lot of the lyrics were lost in the volume
. We were worried in case this was a problem with the venue's Sound system but when GOTR came on their sound balance was spot on! . Damn this gig rocked! James was in good voice, the band were working as a unit and having fun and any technical errors ( a bit of flatness on the first verse of " Katie" for example) were quickly picked up and corrected .. James even joked about how Steve had alerted him to the problem . It was damn nigh perfect , high energy, high impact and great fun ... I wished that " Over Now" had been a little clearer and louder but that's just me loving the song and some ignorant git behind me talking through it .
And I wished Charlie hadn't smashed his guitar, but that's my issue , I HATE people smashing guitars , It's very rock and Roll but I 'd cry if my Gibson ever got a scratch on it so I get angsty about that stuff
I left the venue on the best post gig high I've had in many a year
In a word Bloody Brilliant ( Ok , so that's two words , I cheated)
I can't wait for the new album and I can't wait for the next tour
And I know I've said it before but I'm in awe of how far this band has come in such a short time .. I told James as much when I met him on Saturday and he said that it made them happy to hear it ... well James it makes us happy to be there and watch it happen !
Come back soon !
