Bloody hell!! The surprise extra IS GOTR, which kinda shocked me because I didn't think the organisers would be able to afford them (because of travel). But when you see the ticket price, it looks much more do-able. Pretty pricey, but you can see why. Ghost of the Robot Melbourne 2004

Although there was no official word on the BDU site when I last looked, people are being told they will have their GOTR gig ticket money refunded.

It a gig not happening, not the peddling of nucleur waste! James is still the focus of the con and no doubt he will give his all to it, as he normally does.

Like I said before Ditto, GotR wasn't in the original con agenda, it was an added bonus. Therefore, apart from not seeing him perform it won't take anything away from the convention itself. I'm not sure about the details for the Oakland con. I understand that some peeps shelled out $1000 which included a private reception with James and the band, (just 25 people I gather). However, I'm sure part of the ticket will be refunded or other arrangements made. This from Siobahn at BDU Okies; I'm sure by now that you've all heard about the shock split of Ghost of the Robot in the past 48hrs. Unfortunatley this untimely split will affect their scheduled Melbourne gig, and it brings me no pleasure to announce the the concert will be cancelled, and at this stage no replacement gig or other event will be scheduled.
Alot of people would have received a call from either myself or my staff letting you of the situation, and that refunds for purchased tickets will be issued to everyone by the end of the week. Emails have also been sent to everyone with tickets ordered, also letting you know of this.
The most important thing to be assured of is that James is still coming himself, and that the Dinner, the Saturday and Sunday Convention days will remain unchanged.
