Thanks Slayerchick, but will non-Mobsters be able to access it? The longer the better for me If you don't mind I'll bring it over as well
After making a mad dash to get a table in the cocktail party we waited and waited and they finally brought Tom, Danny and George out. I had a roll of pictures, but thanks to me now knowing how to rewind the film, wanting to make sure I got photos of GotR and my great impatience and temper, I kinda ripped the film out in frustration and reloaded. Tom and Danny were funny. Unfortunately at my angle all I saw of George was a blue shirt with a speaker where his head should have been.
GotR made their way out to the Q & A after that. It was really great to see them all play off of each other. They really were just like 13 yr old boys. James was wearing the same old frayed jeans he wore in Cleveland and a Kurt Cobain shirt. Charlie has his wrist in a brace, which when asked he said he sprained his ankle in a football game. Yeah, I know, but he was just goofy that way. I've tried to remember as many of the questions as I could.
Which band would you obliterate if you could. Steve said In Sync. Charlie and Kevin agreed on Creed, which lead Charlie to say if they got rid of Creed they would also have to get rid of Pearl Jam, which made James look at him like his head was ready to explode.
They said they really didn't know if the invite from the Rolling Stones was to play with them or just hang out becasue they had to turn them down due to scheduling problems.
They said they auctioned off James' couch for $900 to raide money for the CD, but it was a hideously filthy couch.
They decided to distibute the album themselves so that they didn't get screwed by the record company like so many new bands are on their first albums.
Tehy song was named Vehicles Shock Me becasue for about a week evertime Aaron touched a car it shocked him and he said to Charlie? "Vehicles shock me"
Boxers, briefs, or other
James-"definitely other"
Charlie-other (followed by a goofy dance)
Kevin-didn't answer
Steve-boxer briefs
Aaron- boxers
When asked about their best concert experience James said he was really drunk on Tequila and went to a Clash concert, made his way to the front and tossed a bottle that he had snuck in up on stage. He said the band said thank you and passed it around and he thought he was really cool.
Steve said he snuck into a Greatful Dead concert once by posing a a Coke delivery man there to devliver to the band.
They said they have a really cool and affordable idea for a video and they want to do it, but don't know when.
David Letterman did hear the song and liked it. His staff wanted them to be on the show, but David thought it would be like promoting himself and he was too humble to do so.
They said they fight all the time about which Star Wars is the best. Most of the band say Empire, but James argues for A New Hope becasue it is the only one to have a true beginning, middle and end.
Overall, they all had a really great rapport with each other. James and Charlie were really the talkers though. James was obviously the lead and Charlie threw in his smart ass humor at every opportunity.
