I adored B7. LOL - it was a big part of my life for a good while. I had a serious foundness for Servalan. And Jacqueline Pearce is a wonderful actress. LOL - learned everything I needed to know about men from her!

I liked her hair. I always wanted urchin like dark hair, but when I tried it I ended up looking like Napoleon, like on my passport which made certain peeps laugh their sox off. ;D Re Robin I quite like Jason (that's it Jason) You know very well I meant Jason. ;D I actually preferred Ray wotsit, he's a great actor, dead gritty. Can't remember the character now. The thing with resurrecting series is, they'd all be aged and wrinkly. They haven't got pictures in their attics.....

Ditto, that was the point. I think the plan was to set it in real time, so many years after we last saw Avon. The others were all dead anyhoo. Older, even more cynical and sharp. Argh! Goddamnit, I want to see it! I don't know if JP was going to be involved in the project, but Servalan and Avon were a shippers dream! I'd certainly have been writing the fanfic if I'd known it existed, lol! (saying that, my first fanfic was for Alias Smith and Jones, when I was about 14, but I didn't know it!)

I wish you had known, PK. I was editing fanzines for B7 back then! I have tons of Avon and B7 artwork I did way back when.
LOL - The first fanfic I remember writing was Partridge Family and I must have been all of 12.

Oooh, lots of good wishes and stuff to Patrick Stewart, who always looks so fit and strong *gazes off, drags herself back* Actor Patrick Stewart Has Heart Procedure Friday August 27 2:59 PM ET
"X-Men" star Patrick Stewart is recovering at home after undergoing an angioplasty procedure earlier this week to widen an artery, his publicist said Friday.
Angioplasty involves the use of catheters to place a small balloon in a narrowed blood channel. When the balloon is inflated, the artery flows more freely.
The 64-year-old Stewart who played Professor Xavier in "X-Men" and its sequel, and Captain Jean-Luc Picard on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" went in for an annual physical on Monday, according to his publicist, Kelly Bush.
Doctors detected a blood-flow problem and recommended "pre-emptive angioplasty" to head off any future ailments.
Bush described the procedure as a success and said he is resting before returning to work next week, where he plans to finish the upcoming movie "The Game of Their Lives." He will also start voice over work on the Fox animated series "American Dad."
However, Stewart's recovery will force him to miss a planned personal appearance on Saturday in Toronto, where he was set to visit a Canadian sci-fi festival. Yahoo News

Brits, remember to look out for Science Fiction Britannia, which starts on Beeb 4, Monday 13th November They have all kinds of goodies lined up, including documentaries. I'm going to try to catch the stuff on Adam Adamant as it looked fascinating to me, but I was always shooed off to bed when it started And Doomwatch! I remember one ep freaked out my mum as it featured rats in a big way, but again, I was never allowed to watch. The curse of the young...

I wonder if they'll have Quatermass on. My first really steady boyfriend was totally freaked out by it and used to talk about it all the time. I never saw it as we didn't have a telly for years. It used to bug the heck outtov him 'cos I didn't know who Scooby Doo was. Don't think I was missing much personally. The only thing I missed was Top Of The Pops. We used to have the dancefloor to ourselves 'cos everybody came late on a Thursday, they stayed home to watch. Is it just old stuff then? ETA Just remembered about rats. The only bit I ever saw re Room 101 was John Hurt freaking out about the rats. They might show that as well. It was in black/white I think.

They do have a feature about Quatermass, yes (another one I was too young for, but I do remember some evil soapsuds oozing everywhere!), and last year's revival of it. And you know who was in that don't you? David Tennant, yay Their listings so far are HEREIt's a sci-fi retrospective so a lot of it is vintage. Going to have some classic Who, and oooh Day of the Triffids ;D

That's him! What I think of as a 'proper' actor, like James Bolam et al. ;D There's proper actors and then there's telly actors like Ken Barlow. What a cop-out, in the same show for decades. Might as well have worked on an assembly line....er and so getting back on topic... I hope they show that Blake's 7 episode with Geoffrey Burridge. I likes 'em mean and moody.

They keep featuring Blake's 7 in the trailer for the series (they have Avon laughing, which is one of the outtakes on the DVDs, and Servalan doing the Maximum Power thing), but so far no listings for showing any of it. It warrants a documentary, it really does.
