Rocky Horror reference there. If you noticed that, this is the thread for you! I love sci-fi and fantasy stuff - books, films, - and I guess a bunch of you must too because well, ya know, Buffy ain't a documentary you know! ;D I am passionate about Star Trek, all incarnations (apart from the Animated Series, which I have never seen), lovin' it almost as much as the Jossverse. And NN has some news for me abut adorable Data, I do believe... Anyway, this is the place to declare your geekdom, and be PROUD of it, goddamnit! And you'll be in good company - think little James in Spock ears at Cons....

oooooh Paul Darrow!! saw him on the telly the other week, think it was something like top 10 sci-fi shows, he was really sweet. I used to fancy the pants off Avon I still have the occasional erotic dream about him OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG TONY TODD's gonna be there Wow that's a pretty good line-up, I'll probably go on the Saturday as they're having the 'Blake's 7' cast reunion then. I was hoping there might be a few peeps from 'Farscape' there but alas no.

Another Avon fan here, but I never had erotic dreams about him, then or now.... Avon and Spike have certain character similarities, don't ya think?! Loved Blake's Seven (very disappointed PD has dropped out of the plans to revive it), and y'all know I am mad for Red Dwarf - grrr argh! There goes NL living my life for me again! Tony Todd was sultry and sexy as Candyman, but not a bad bro to Worf either!

Yay, another Red Dwarf fan! ;D
I tried to love "Enterprise", really did, as I love all the other incarnations of Star Trek. But even I have to admit when watching S2.... I have been quite bored through some of the eps. I like the crew well enough, and the acting is just fine. But the writing is lacklustre.
I'm not a fan of Stargate as a series (liked the movie) - too militaristic for me. Marilyn loves it though... we haven't tempted her into this thread yet, have we?!

Well, I'm here, but everytime I say I like Stargate you me, lol....but I really do like the show....it's one of the shows that I didn't watch when it first came out cos I liked the movie, and figured they'd screw around too much with the series and it wouldn't even resemble the original. But I love the cast....all of them! Farscape is still one of my favs, too....especially the earlier ones when they are first getting to know one another. Scifi channel has Hercules on, too and I can often get a laugh from them....

I've been a trekkie since I first saw reruns of the classic series with my dad when I was about 12. TNG was fun too, though I did have issues with the way DS9 ended, the last two seasons being all about war and violence, and I disliked Captain Janeway on Voyager for killing off Tuvix. At the moment I prefer Andromeda to Enterprise cos I think it's got better actors and a better story, it sounds very much like the Star Trek Gene Roddenberry would have wanted to create in the 60s and wasn't allowed to. I was also into Babylon 5 - another good show cancelled by short-sighted bosses without giving them a chance to write a decent ending!

Sci fi is simply the best! My fave Blake's 7 was the one based on the picture in the attic, you know, Angela Lansbury was in the film, based on the book I think, you know...creepy. Maybe James has a picture in his attic, would explain how he remains meltingly gorgeous year after year.

I love Red Dwarf, Charmed, Xena and just about anything else that isn't full of boring reality ;D Did you guys know that their launching a brand new series of the Twilight Zone? It'll be the first time a new ep has been made in at least twenty years, I'm sure!! Erique La Salle is one of the first stars lined up to appear...should be interesting...

YAY! Lots more sci-fi loving people!
Don't watch much, more of a sci-fi/fantasy reader (member of bookclub and everything... ooh, cheap books...)... but I do like watching Red Dwarf! lol. Liked Star Trek, too, though don't make a point of watching it.
And I always had a soft spot for Rocky Horror, ever since I was... uh, ten years younger than I am now! Even went to see the stage show in London with some friends, once... now that was a laugh!

Okay - how geeky is this: I met my husband at a "Robin of Sherwood" & "Blakes 7" convention. I was selling art and he was there with a couple of friends of mine. LOL
I loved the character of Avon though I never got that much into Paul Darrow. I adore Gareth Thomas - OMG - he hugs wonderfully well and he once bought a piece of art-work from me.
Was very active in B7 fandom in the 80s but my first con was classic Star Trek back in '79 or '80. I used to sell fan art to pay to get to the cons. I've worn Vulcan ears. LOL first time hubby and I had a meal together I was dresses as Indiana Jones! Sci-fi geek - yep, that's me!

I always wanted to be Su Linn and I loved the episode with Geoffrey Burrows, him with the picture in the attic (play on Dorian Gray). I'd look great in spandex with a ray gun. ;D
Which Robin of Sherwood do peeps prefer?
Michael Praed or Sean Connery?

Or even his son Jason! Neither. I thought it was al twaddle! But Blake's 7 was magnificent. I got so excited last year when I heard about them resurrecting it, and then Paul Darrow dropped out of the project for whatever reason and it's probably a dead duck now. Their plans had been for Avon to have survived the final shoot-out (as we never saw him snuff it), but have him in prison all these years, then break-out, I believe. Oh well *sigh* Agree with Ebs on the loving Avon, not so keen on the actor (although he did a great job. His character rose above them all, he really worked it).
