Thanks NN. I did wonder if it was that song but I was also getting confused with Roger Whittaker, but I think he sang about Durham Town Oh how I need a new brain with perfect recall

Damn! I thought this was going to be something more Octoberish, lol! GET CIVILISED AND ENJOY JAMES AT HOME
Bring a touch of civilisation to your day and enjoy the sight and sound of James Marsters in performance.
The actor and musician's debut solo album, Civilized Man, is now available on mail order for the first time in the UK and Europe.
The European version offers a different CD photo from the American album while the CD itself features 11 original and personal songs ranging from the popular Katie and the sexy blues-inspired For What I Need to the title track Civilized Man. James also plays guitar on every track.
Also available is a limited edition DVD (suitable for all regions) of James Marsters performing live in concert at the Halloween special in London last year. The concert marked his solo debut in Europe.
The two hour DVD was professionally filmed and also includes exclusive bonus footage of James's question and answer session with fans over the weekend.
Both the CD and the DVD are now available for sale at £15 each. For further details and to order your copies please go to: www.jamesmarsterslive.com

JAMES ANNOUNCES EXTRA LONDON GIG AS CAPITAL RECOVERS FROM TERRORIST ATTACK
The show will go on ...
James Marsters has added a second London concert date to his October visit as the capital gets back on its feet.
He will be returning to the Carling Academy in London on Thursday, October 27 for a one night stand. James has enjoyed sell-out success twice before at the venue at the Angel, Islington and is determined that his London dates will go ahead. Details of the new concert are available from www.islington-academy.co.uk.
The Carling Academy date will be followed by an acoustic special at St James's Church the following night and the premiere of Words & Music at the Mermaid Theatre in London on the Saturday.
These are the only dates that James is planning during his October visit to England.
Tickets for the Carling Academy cost £16.50 plus booking fee and are available from www.ticketweb.co.uk. __________________________________________

I like his style.
But can we all stretch to a longer stay? I probably could, but not sure about actually attending this gig.

Not sure about this one...the big problem would be that the hotel we want to stay in is only available Fri-Mon. ,and it would mean finding something for the Thursday for all those travelling from far and wide

He's certainly providing something for everyone - some folks like the noisy quality of club gigs, others prefer calmer venues where you can actually hear the man sing and play. And then there's Saturday ;D

For once I'm being decisive... I've already spent so much on that weekend, I really can't afford any more. Therefore, not going. Also, don't really like Carling Academy as a venue. Too much standing. See? I CAN be sensible!
