I didn't mean that ;D. I was just musing on the potential cringe factor of a cop show with an angel in it. The rest of it sounds quite gritty and watchable.

Mareen Ryan in her Chicago Tribune blog says: In other Marsters news, he pops up in the second episode of "Saving Grace," TNT's new drama series starring Holly Hunt. That episode airs July 25. His first scene is with Kenneth Johnson, formerly Lem on "The Shield," who plays the police partner of Hunter's character. Lem and Spike in a scene? Trying to not let my head explode again.
Her fangirl head having exploded already over the Torchwood news ;D

They must have put the premiere back a week because that was last night. Anyone USers watch it? James's ep is next week: TNT
SAVING GRACE
Grace’s Relationship with Ham Hits a Rocky Spot, While Her Relationship with Earl Moves to a Different Arena
“Bring It On, Earl” – Monday, July 30, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) – -MA-LSV
The detectives investigate the murder of an oilman who may have been the victim of anti-oil activists, or he may have been murdered by someone a little closer to home. Lt. Yukon’s brother, who is constantly in trouble, is brought in as an informant on the case, dredging up old wounds. Meanwhile, after continued visits from Earl, Grace ties to prove her strength by challenging him to a wrestling match. Her relationship with Ham becomes strained after he finds out about her past relationship with Butch. Ham is also being forced to spend the night elsewhere after his wife begins to suspect his affair with Grace.

The first ep doesn't seem to have gone down too well, so let's hope for better things with this one. Don't forget to watch, US folks, and report in about JM's accent and boots etc ;D

I watched the pilot ep last week and kinda liked it and liked this ep even better. Not really cos of JM.....his role was very small....only time really to see that he looks good as usual, but not much screen time. I do like Holly Hunter, and Laura SG.....hoping she can prove that Grace has a real angel 'saving' her, lol! The shower scene at the end after a shocker of an ending, was really sweet and sexy....and unfortunately did NOT involve JM, but the other lead in the series, Kenneth Johnson (Ham) (His name, lol, not a criticism of his acting). I think it's pretty good, and well worth making the time for..... Don't want to go into too much detail cos you UKers may not have gotten this ep yet?? Not sure, cos they did change the date once..... Oh, and Daph will be glad to know that Bailey Chase is stillll looking goood.....

I've not watched it yet, but I just checked the mpg the PC recorded to make sure I'm good to go for later, and w00t yeah saw a couple seconds of James! ;D Had to turn it off since it's already 4:20am and if I let it go, I'd end up watching the whole 1-hour show and that's not good at this hour when I have to go to work.

Marilyn, we don't get it at all, so it really doesn't matter.
But screw the main plot, what was JM wearing? How did he sound? How little screen time did he actually have? What did his character get up to?
ETA - from browsing around I am picking up a lot of eye rolling about this show in general, and disgruntlement that JM only had two scenes and maybe a total screen time of 2-3 minutes. Ah well, I gather he wore a suit and looked purdy....
