As expected, Stevie Boy did receive a few emails re the link to bugger.you, so they are hopefully just deciding what to do about that, and the date is still good.

Hot news! HEIST (A.K.A. THE PIERRE JEWEL HEIST) (USA) - The James Marsters-led ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel") telefilm has been slated to air Friday, March 18 at 9:00/8:00c. Here's how USA's press materials describe the project: "A thief from the age of six, Bobby Comfort bounced in and out of prison for years. When he turns twenty-two, Bobby finally settles down and starts a family, determined to lead a calmer life. Bobby, however, soon is lured back into the only profession he knows, agreeing to help a friend rob a string of high-end New York City hotels. When their forays prove extremely lucrative, Comfort once again embraces his talent for crime. While his unsuspecting family believes he is traveling for business, Bobby and his partner are having the time of their lives conning wealthy socialites, culminating in the largest jewel heist in American history."The Futon CriticSo, if this is right the film has a slight title change (dropping the hotel name) and an earlier airdate ETA - the Futon Critic may have got a bit muddled, as there is a Gene Hackman movie called Heist supposedly showing at the time they say, according to a mvie feature on the USA Network site However, on the listings it says which would def not be Mr Hackman's movie... Curiouser and curiouser.

Because the graphics card I bought for my new computer has capabilities, I'll be able to deliver decent-quality vids and pics... As long as everyone plays nice...

Well, we knew they were tinkering with the name of the movie. And given that the Hackman movie "Heist" could confuse viewers, could this be the listing for the erstwhile Pierre Heist? Right date and time, as given by the Futon Critic:
FRIDAY MARCH 18, 2005 (All times are US/Eastern)
09:00 PM USA ORIGINAL MOVIE COOL MONEY
I like the title fine as intended but would understand the perceived need to change.... Why is nothing involving James simple?! lol.

Tape it once, and also watch it the four times it is on , DeeDee. I'm getting a bit jealous about this. I swore to myself I wouldn't, that it would be available sooner or later on the ent. But I want to see it on the bigger screen, too

expo67 posted on the imdb board for the movie: The Pierre Heist will air on the USA Network. Some additional info can be found at www.dariusfilms.com. The film was shot in Toronto to stand in for New York City, Rochester and Miami. The Fairmont Royal York Hotel stands in for the Pierre Hotel (now a Four Seasons property). Although the film is based on events from the early 1970's, it is set in present day. Canadian actress Margot Kidder stands out as Bobby Comfort's (James Marsters) mother. Quite disappointed if it is set in the present day but never mind. They've been asked where they got that info but no response as yet. Mind you, faz posted after expo and didn't contradict that, although gave the title as Cold Money, which we know it isn't, it's "Cool", and the first airdate we heard about was given.. which we also know is different now! Lol. Like I say, things involving James never seem to be striaghtforward, do they?! ;D The thread in question
