As we all know by now, it was announced on James' official site on 6th November that he is spending the next four weeks working on a movie. James and Steve kept very quiet about this during the recent Halloween Con, and we have no real clues as yet as to which film it is, what kind of a role etc. But I think, no matter what it turns out to be, it is worth celebrating ;D Acting work is of the good. And more chances to see our man doing his thang ;D You can bring your theories and wishes here until we have more concrete info to discuss

Assuming that the above rumours are indeed credible, take a gander at what's filming in Toronto right now Actra Toronto and Toronto FilmingWell, I'm kinda restless but not wanting to exert myself any further today, and that leads me to poke my nose into stuff

One of the rumours said that James was filming a heist scene .. how about " The Pierre Heist"?
listed on Futon Critic as a greenlit telemovie for THe History Chanel.. filming in Toronto no casting info available
Oh hell I'm no good at this detective stuff .. maybe I'll just wait till Steve Himber spills the beans ;D

Deb, I plumped for that and put it in a sealed envelope somewhere as proof, lol! Great minds, huh?! And seeing as you had the balls to post about it in the wide open, I shall add a further conjecture.... My follow up theory is that the movie is about the robbery of safety deposit boxes at the Pierre Hotel in New York back in the early 70s, six men doing the deed. There was meant to be a fairly large budget movie for cinema release made about this, to start filming in 2002 in Montreal apparently, but it never happened.... (another one involving John Cusack and Woody Allen seemed to fizzle out before production too) Watch me crash and burn on all details, lol! But as no-one was here earlier to play with, it gave me something to do. These are just total conjectures people, reliant on the goss Deb and I heard being accurate. Just a bit of fun until we get real info.

And seeing as you had the balls to post about it in the wide open, I shall add a further conjecture. * Deb checks anatomy.*. nope, still doing the girl thing ;D It just seemed like the likeliest choice and Futon Critic had quite a lot of info.. as indeed did Google lots on previous attempts to get it off the ground, nowt about casting sadly ( yes I was bored this evening , even watched Monarch Of The Glen" with Tony doing a very odd accent ( like an American playing Londoner .. most strange) But hell I don't care what it is James is filming he seems willing to travel outside LA for a role which improves his options ( assuming the gossip is correct) But I suspect that whatever the project this was a fast start date and may explain why James didn't do the Orange Playlist thing And I still haven't given up on Venetian Heat .. James and Jacobi .. wow!

We can be scarily alike sometimes Deb! (even about Tony's accent! it sounds way more fake than Spike's don't you think?! And yet it isn't really that far removed from his own. It just sounds WRONG! It's a puzzle ) Anyway, it would be cool if we were right about the movie because reading about the real story was very interesting.

Heh!
yep we evidently share some deep spiritual connection or summat
I was disapointed in Tony's accent .. in Norwich he said that he'd tried one way of playing the character but the director thought it was OTT and he had to re shoot and scale it back. Lord alone knows what the original was like
anyway, back to this Heist film .. If it is the right one *big IF* It's certainly an interesting story .. Anyone know how much of an audience The History Channel gets ?
( I have checked and they sometimes release videos .. yep OK I'm sad )
Ok more lemsip .. damned con lurgie is a pain!

It certainly sounds like it could be a good film, if you guys are right! Well, if it had James in it, it's bound to be good!

This sounds along the same lines apart from the mention of a bank instead of hotel safe deposit boxes. So where did you garner this info DeeDee? ETA - I see where you read this now; from a sorta private email sent from Steve (or his office) to a member at MTS. I think it all fits in with Deb's and my speculation so far! I still am hoping it is based on the incident I mentioned because I'd like to know more about it But in any event, it sounds appealing.

I see that Steve has sent a similar message to other fans asking about the new movie (I'm beginning to think he has the patience of a saint, or has employed someone full time to reply to James-related emails!), and the words he uses to describe James' role are

Oh, I am LOVING the sound of this movie. And if he really is the star, SQUEEEEEEE!!!!! because if it does well, he might get more ig parts in other movies, then he gets more work and we get more Jamesy goodness. Gotta love that logic, eh?!

Yeh I was just looking at CDS Spangel manips again and heres me a Spuffy fan and they mentioned the email from Steve H so had to tell eh oops should I have mentioned that is it like piccies you have to mention where you get em from I thin SH is is keeping quiet about this role because he wants to suprise us *do you think so* or will it be contractual stuff and he's been warned not to say any thing yet by production company

If you can you should always source your info, so others can see for themselves, and/or decide on the reliability. As Steve says, contractural reasons mean he can't divulge too much, but mentioning it at all to fans via email does seem like he knows the word will get out and that we will track down the movie. Being the tenacious and enquiring buggers that we are! Welcome to the wonderful world of Spangel btw

He's prolly hoping he can keep us guessing so us stalkers fans don't find the set... Or maybe he wants to spare us the heart attacks due to excessive joy if JM is getting a particularly good part in a good film... y'know, let us know a little at a time, not let it out all at once. Mind you, you know what they say about a long build-up! ;D
