[glow=purple,2,300]WINDING ROADS[/glow] well thanx to PK i got my copy of Winding roads a few weeks ago, i'd only had it two minutes b4 a que started to form of ppl wanting to borrow it so ive only seen it twice so far. I knew this was going to be a great film even before the credits.....ooohhh naked James im bed with g/f.... The quality of acting in this film i have to say is brilliant with a great plot to go with it. James plays a bit of a mummys boy in this film (and i dont care what u say PK i think he's lovely and would take him home anyday!!!) Billy, his charater, seems to be a little lost in life, not knowing whats going on most of the time, but one this is for sure, he knows he's in love. Well directed, a beautiful cast and amazing music along with some gorgeous scenery this film is really enjoyable to watch.....but be warned......u may need ure tissues.....i did

Tsk, I asked you to write a review for the main site but did you?! NO! Bad lozz, lol! I agree, I really enjoyed the movie, although I cried off and on from about half way through! My review of the movie is on the Review James pages at the main site (along with others). Btw, Marilyn hated this movie, thought it was a waste of her time..... it always fascinates me how different people react to films, books, music etc ;D

Damn! Why can't it be Lifetime Network which I get instead of Lifetime Movie Network which I don't get... Grrrrrr... The movie network is just kind of an extention of the other channel... "Television for Women" I've seen just a few pics from the movie, and he looks kinda like one of my exes with his dark brown curly hair... mmm... *sigh* ;D

Goodness gracious, Winding Roads has made it to Sky!!
It will be showing on:
Sky One on Tuesday 27th January at 14:15pm Sky One Mix on Wednesday 28th January at 9:45am
Check it out guys! There seems to be love/hate reactions to the movie. Me and Lozz loved it, and probably not for the same reasons. Plenty of others rant venomously about it. Let's get more reactions!

Well, I watched it....not sure about it. I could find no sympathy for Renee, cos I found the actress' acting too stiff, Rachel Hunter was actually quite good....and I think she should have developed her acting side more . It was interesting to see James playing such a one dimensional character, but I felt they didn't show enough of Billy to get an idea of how the the two's relationship could break down so quickly.

Oh see, I felt it had already broken down before the movie started! They were just pootling along for habit's sake. Ands that opening scene of them in bed was meant to show that, IMO. They just weren't connecting, weren't giving each other what they needed. The first time I watched it Billy drove me completely apeshit and I knew exactly where Renee was coming from. But then, mummy's boys always press my buttons! The clincher for me was when they were driving to visit his mom and he casually dropped the bombshell of how they would move somewhere out there, and that his mom would never allow her grandchild to grow up in their flat - or words to that effect. Hello! Major life decisions there! Ever heard of talking these things through, also not always doing what mom would like... And the way he completely lit up when they got to mom's house and she answered the door to them. Yikes! Brought back horrible memories!

yeaaah I'm not sure about 'Winding Roads' (just finished watching it) James' character Billy was just a wee bit too wimpy for my tastes, and attempting to be controlling (another no-no), but then I didn't like Renee either so didn't much care what happened between them. I much preferred the other two relationships. I'm just glad to have any chance to see James in a variety of roles, so not a complete waste of time

The movie is being shown on US again - Mon May 3 03:00A on Lifetime Movie Network Now, whether that means 3-00 am Monday morning, or 3-00 a, Tuesday, I wouldn't like to say. yes yes, it says Monday, but schedulers seem to lie, or live in an alternative dimension where post midnight is still the day before.... So, check your listings mags!

Hey, as you can see I'm a newbie to this forum, I am just about to buy 'Winding Roads' and 'Chance' on video, having just read this thread I can't wait till they arrive. It's just a pity I can't get them on DVD as there is nothing better than watching James over and over again in slowmotion................

Lol, and welcome Teebee. You can get Chance on DVD (unless you mean you don't have a DVD player, in which case that would be a bit... frustrating! Lol).
Winding Roads seems to provoke some very mixed reactions. Although James is great in it, not everyone likes the movie itself, it seems. Personally, I enjoyed it. Hell, it made me cry, and you can't beat a good sniffle!
