Hey! Rainbow, really glad that the meeting turned out more positive than you'd thought, hope it's all go for Monday so you can get things settled! You may be right about the football game, lol..is B would believe that I'd be banished from the den. I hope the weather stays nice, we're watching a potential storm forming in the Gulf, be next week before we know what's happening! Pluto, what a scary and sad situation today! Maybe it was just a cry for help, her waiting until you got there to grab the little one, and then knowing you'd be there to call someone!? I hope she gets the help she needs, but doesn't seem wise to leave the care of small children in her hands. Will you have to do a follow up visit? How did the house viewing go? Tony, the music teacher, lets the boys choose most of their songs, although if the music school is getting ready for a performance, which it is on the 21st, the owner will ask him to have the guys cover any new songs a singer may be doing so there is good cohesion for the group. They only practice once as a group, the week before, so it's important they can all pull it together. Usually works ok! Ditto, really glad to see you on here, I hope you are still on FB. Maybe make another page, with another password, and don't share the password with your daughter? She can always reinstate/reuse the Janet Bird page and be able to post her own stuff. Sorry to hear that your mom isn't doing so well, may need more help than you can give her. A fall could result in a broken hip, and at her age she would be slow to heal. That happened to my mother in law, and it was really tough for her! (I'm sure it's hard for seniors to accept that they can no longer do what was so simple before.) Cyrus, it was really good to see you on here, and yes, we are really lost without PK, for her wit and opinions, and because she handled the board so well for us. I hope all is well with you, sweetie! It has been quite some years, hasn't it! B and I took a ride to the Gulf Coast today, little gamble, and a nice lunch. Take care all...hugs!

Morning I slept quite well but don't feel refreshed. The little boy has gone to stay with family. A Social Worker will now be involved. I will visit when it is appropriate. I think the mum will be feeling terrible about involving me. She will get some help but she is in desperate need of a suitable housing and there is none available. It's not right that the family had to flee a good house because of domestic abuse, go into a refuge then be given temporary sun standard housing two years ago. Tony, the music teacher, lets the boys choose most of their songs, That's fab! The viewing did go ahead. Hopefully will hear today. The place mu sister was interested in was snapped up immediately but she's now registered with that agent and they know what she is looking for. Training today is on ADHD and Autism. Good luck in the quiz Rainbow

sorry about your mum and the wait for the ambulance Ditto. It all sounds too familiar. I rang for feedback from the estate agent. Just as I thought, great size rooms but too much work. It's tricky because the price has been set in consideration of the work that's needed and we can go slightly lower if necessary.

Afternoon, sorry about your Mum Ditto but sounds like she needs to stay in until she's more mobile or they get things set up at home for her, in the meantime enjoy the rest!
Shame about the viewing Pluto but its early days to think about dropping the price
S's little granddaughter is extremely grumpy! Good job she's going home now
I took Mum to the garden centre this morning, got some Heather's to finish a bed then found a white lavender that l've been coveting
Hope the training was good Pluto

The training/conference was good Rainbow. Caroline M says hello. Which garden centre did you go to? Antonia keeps saying she wants to go to soft play with H. I asked if H is a girl or a boy and she said boy. She still thinks your S is called H lol!!!

We were rubbish at the quiz tonight, it was so hard
Ready for bed now

Hello all. Quite wintery again here. Winter? It's still 95°F / 35°C here at 1815. I wouldn't mind it being a bit cooler, though not wintery. Bleh cold. Hate having to wear lots of layers and long sleeves.

Hey!
Busy day, some shopping, stopped to get Travis' fav buttermilk drops, packed them up and mailed them to him! Lol, sent some Halloween Oreos, too, cos he says they taste better. He'll get them in a couple of days, have to remind him to share with his wife, lmao! Oh, and I just went to use the rofl smilie and it's gone loopy, too! What makes them do that, I wonder??
Pluto, it is really early days for your house to sell, give it a little time, then maybe see what your realtor advis. es They usually know if the market is good or slow for housing your area! So sweet that A is looking for her friend...does she have a special school friend? Was there anything new about how autism is dealt with? I know Asperger's is now just referred to as being on the 'Autism Spectrum' and it's changed how many higher functioning kids get help, and it's not for the better. Hope ballet goes well!
Rainbow, isn't funny how some times the quizzes can be all stuff you know, then one night it's like...where are they getting this stuff?? I love to watch Jeopardy...do you guys have that there? And sometimes I'm so good at answering questions, and other times I'm like a rock! The white lavender sounds pretty, not sure if I've ever seen one. Is it hardy enough for the coming cold weather?
Cyrus! Back again...good to see you post! You used to be our resident tech, do you know why the emojis would deteriorate over time like they are?? I didn't realize it needed any touching up! Are you still in Texas...cos I know you guys are just as hot as we are!
Ditto, hope things are better with your mom. Did she have the markers in her blood that show if she had a heart attack? Do you think one of those inflatable lift things would help her if she fell again?
Teebs, and Deedee, take care!
Hugs all!

He'll get them in a couple of days, have to remind him to share with his wife, lmao! WIFE??? Little Travis is married? Wait, I'm thinking of the grand baby. But Travis was still a young one too, back in the day. We're so old now lol. I was only a teenager when Bloody Spike was started, and I'm 35 now! Cyrus! Back again...good to see you post! You used to be our resident tech, do you know why the emojis would deteriorate over time like they are?? I didn't realize it needed any touching up! The issue with the images is due to Photobucket changing their service again. That was the first sign I saw something was wrong when I got on here the other night; PK wouldn't have left something like that go unfixed. A while back, Photobucket changed their service to be pay only, if you wanted to do remote image linking (which is what is done here). Then, since they wanted a LOT of money, I guess not enough people paid for it, and they went back to giving people a little bit for free. Unfortunately, it's a very very little bit. So what happens is, if you have too many photos stored in your account and/or too many people view your images, they will blur and watermark your images, in an attempt to try to get you to upgrade to a paid account. If I had access to make changes here, I would either find some place else to host the images and relink them here, or just revert to the default Proboards images for the emojis and whatnot. But unfortunately, only PK had the keys to this kingdom. Are you still in Texas...cos I know you guys are just as hot as we are! Yep, still in Texas. And yep, still hot here lol.

Morning
Cy we did look up the info on getting a new forum admin in place. I think Teebs put a link somewhere but I think they need some sort of proof of PK passing. It was all too much for us to even think about so we are just plodding on. Also, I don't think any of us are confident enough or have the time.
Shame about the quiz Rainbow but there's always next time! We'll have to find a suitable date for soft play!
M, the training was led by people who really know and understand autism and ADHD so hopefully the info we have will aid our work with families. Some are great anyway at finding out and being pro active but others need much more support and guidance. The difficulties often lie with schools and their expectations. That's so sweet of you to send Travis the sweeties. He's a lucky boy/man lol!
It's still quite mild in the south. Yesterday Antonia's pre school spent the entire day in the garden, even having their meals outside. All their pegs and photos were out there too. She came home a bit grubby and very tired but very happy.

It would be great if we could get everything back, l wonder if a photo of PK's memorial would be enough

Looks like a nice day later
Have a great Friday everyone
ETA turned out to be a lovely day, l managed to re pot and separate my water plants bit of a smelly job but worked well

Not that busy but I've had a headache all day. I'm sure A will settle soon. He's very little still. We went to ballet then did a visit for card swaps and someone came to us. Only 14 out of 144 to go now with Sainsbury's Disney Pixar Star Wars Marvel collecting book. Lisa came to try out the Vax. It worked a little bit but I think the carpets are probably too far gone and we need industrial cleaners. Short visit to Lidle and that's all really. It has been a really glorious day with the weather!

Hey!
You all busy as usual, glad the weather is giving you a break! It's still freakin hot here, lol...little short showers make for a steam bath when you walk out!
Pluto, is the whole house carpeted or just the living room...bedrooms? The only room we have with carpet is our den, and when that's done it will be the flooring we have thruout the house now. It's so much easier to clean, and looks good with minimum effort. Lol, I should know! Is Howie coming in this weekend?
Rainbow, hopefully A will get used to the school routine, and be more comfortable with it. I think kids of every age have difficulty adjusting to school schedules after time off. What kind of water plants do you have? Cindy used to have a small pond in her back yard (they've filled it in cos it was hard to keep it up, and non smelly, lol) and her hubby had gotten some of the local water lilies for it, and they were so pretty when they bloomed. They tried to put goldfish in there, and they were thriving, until one day they came home to find some of the local cranes had discovered them and ate them all up! Lol, now they have three raccoons living in the trees behind their house, and she puts out food, fruits and kibble, for them. They like to sit quietly on their screened in patio and watch them munch.
Cyrus, thanks for the info, I had no idea of any of those changes, and if I did I don't think I'd know how to fix them anyway! You and Travis were close in age, he's going to be 33 in October, and has been married for almost three years. My grandson will be 16 soon!! Those years just flew by! Are you still working in the tech field...is your family doing ok?
Ditto, was thinking about you today, hope you're doing okay! Is your mom home?
Teebs, and Deedee, I hope you enjoy the weekend! Teebs, I would be out looking for some Kilted gentlemen, lol!
I tried to type in smilies, but they still turned into scary blobs!
Take care all...hugs!

Morning
It's a year today since my dad passed away so I'm spending it with H and A doing nice things. Saturday morning pictures with Toy Story 4 then the church around the corner has a fun day so we will go there.
M, we have one room with laminate, two rooms with polished floor boards, one with a vinyl covering and the rest with carpet. I'd love to have had the original stairs with a central runner. I hope someone does. It's quite a grand staircase.
Hope you all have a good day.

Rainbow I feel I should know who V is but my mind has gone blank. I'm nervous about the cinema because of A's attention span but we are going in after the adverts!! Also she has a cold so we have packed sick bags, wipes and spare clothes because of her previous history. We will take A to the lights next year because I think she will want to touch them and it will be too stressful! I'm seeing mum tomorrow. S is going today. Have a lovely day out

Hey!
Look at me, it's still morning there, and I'm awake, lol! I think I mentioned Gabe had a really long bus ride to a school football game today, and was supposed to leave in the wee hours of the morning, but the game turned out to be actually at 3pm, so they could leave a little later. So he spent the night over here last night cos it'll be too late when he gets in on Saturday for his regular visit. We have fed him breakfast, gotten his backpack together with water and snacks (his mom sent them), and B and he will be leaving in a little bit for the school. Mindy and hubby will follow along a little later in the day...the band stops on the way for lunch and then need time to assemble themselves in uniforms and get band instruments ready.
Pluto and Rainbow, I hope you both have a good day...A should love Toy Story 4, as Rainbow says, it's really good, and I loved it, too!
Well, will probably fall asleep on the sofa, woke up about 4 and couldn't go back to sleep, so will be dragging if I don't catch up a bit.
Take care all...hugs!

Oh yes Rainbow. V's mum!
We never made it to the fun day at the church as Antonia had a long nap and even I fell asleep this afternoon which is most unlike me. I'm feeling sad though.Toy Story was good but sad. Antonia was not bad at all apart from about 10 minutes when she kept climbing on and off my lap which was uncomfortable.
I hope gabe enjoyed his day M.
Ditto your picture has gone fuzzy too! I can't remember how to get into my Photobucket account. Hope you are enjoying the rest from your mum.
