Morning Awake everyday at 5.00 It's that Arcadian Rhythm thing no doubt! Rainbow maybe it is worth keeping a diary of your knee and how it is and what triggers it. Those girls definitely have a second home. Hope it worked out ok. Busy but exciting M. You will no doubt be eager to hear all about their trip and look at their photos. I'm not too keen on Kong either Absolutely devastated with last night's episode of Years and Years We knew Russel T Davis was a writing genius when he brought back Doctor Who but this drama is superb. Hoping for less rain today. Stay dry everyone or cool depending on where you are!

Ditto, the liver could be linked to all sorts of things. My sister in law died from liver disease and she was only a moderate drinker and a healthy eater so don't get alarmed. Hopefully the scan will inform the way forward and you will be more positive about it! I haven't watched 63 Up yet but sounds like I need to steel myself for a sad outcome. I will have the tissues ready. Foxgloves are fab! I have lilac Poppies coming though. They grow anywhere

Hey! Sounds like there was a sad outcome on one of your favorite programs...is it fictional or real life? Can't deal with sad real life right now...one of my friends from way back when we were horse people has passed away suddenly. She was diagnosed with cancer, but didn't live long after. Ditto, I hope the weather cooperates for you on Sunday ! I sent your card to the new address, hope you get it! Did you manage to get an appointment for your mom? I can't imagine how uncomfortable she must feel... I just read back a bit, and read my last post, too, and I realized I left it rather abruptly...think I was going to save it so I wouldn't lose it, then add more on, but Cindy texted me! It all went really smoothly, B picked them up quickly, brought them by me, I got a hug from everybody, reclaimed B, and we were both off home! She went to work, will try to catch up with laundry...or like she says 'buy all new underwear', lol cos her and her hubby are leaving for Disney World early Friday morning for a 4 day trip. It's a working trip for her, but she'll still have time for some Disney! Rainbow, I think when we're with friends we tend to eat and talk, and eat some more cos we're just relaxing and enjoying, not really putting much thought in on the food. Hope the knee is improving! Pluto, lol, I'm not a big Kong fan either, but kind of enjoy the Godzilla....maybe it's the way the characters say his name in such exaggerated awe and fear, lmao! How's A doing? Teebs and Deedee, I hope you're doing good! Nervous about the doctor visit tomorrow, but can't keep taking ibuprofen for the pain in my side...I wonder sometimes if it's a side effect of the statin I'm taking for cholesterol? I guess I'll find out tomorrow! Take care all...hugs!

Morning Hope the appointment goes well and you have some answers regarding that pain M Lucky Cindy. Where does she get the energy! She certainly works hard and plays hard. Sorry to hear about the passing of your friend A is challenging, she's into climbing and screams when she can't have her own way but pretty normal stuff really that she will get through. She's graduating to Pre School soon which means going from the downstairs toddler room to the upstairs rooms. She loves going up for visits. They get to do all the outside trips: the library, care homes etc. She's had the same keyworker since she started at 5 months so will no doubt miss her. Years and Years is real life but with some futuristic elements. It's set a few years in the future. For example, one of the teenagers has phone implants in her fingers and you can have emoji faces as masks. Quite bizarre. Mainly it's about a family living through unsettling times politically, some of which reflect what is going on in the world today but taken to the next level. It's clever! The working week has flown by. I have a group then a quiet afternoon. Tomorrow I am having a Smart electric meter fitted which means staying in between 12.00 - 4.00. I hope he comes early as I want to visit my mum. I hate the hanging around. I also need to clear out under the stairs At least it's making me do it! Hope everyone is ok

morning.. woken at 3 by S's snoring and spent the rest of the night on the sofa Good luck at the doctors Marilyn, good to get that pain sorted out - hope it goes well and sorry about the loss of your friend hope Cindy has some energy left for Disney! Always nice when the working week goes quickly Pluto, hope the meter man comes early and you're not stuck in all afternoon tomorrow My knee is not good today after I drove more yesterday - I was lulled into a false sense of security after felling much better being off work just going to take if quietly today and probably stay in.. Hope everyone has a good day

Hey! Thanks for the good thoughts, the day went pretty much as expected, I'm going to go for a chest CAT scan (lung spot detected on last year's chest xray, but went over looked) and an abdominal ultrasound, for the pain and bad numbers on the bloodwork. All done in one day, so that's good, get all of the results together. Then more bloodwork and return visit. Huge thunderstorms today, streets flooded when I got out from the doctor's, but good afternoon with Gabe. We started watching The Golden Child with Eddie Murphy. It's one of those movies I consider a classic, lol...and it's funny. Rainbow, S should really do a sleep study for sleep apnea, or even try those nose strips to help with the snoring. It's made a world of difference for B, very quiet sleeper now. But I still snore, lol! Luckily he sleeps so soundly it doesn't bother him! A neater garden is good, but you should be resting your knee! Pluto, good luck with the meter man waiting...kinda like the cable guy here, just keep you waiting! I hope you find your mom doing better and responding to the meds she's taking. Teebs, do you and D alternate watching, or does he rule the remote? B and I like to watch certain things together...Big Bang Theory...the Walking Dead, but movies are never my choice, he always picks loud and violent movies! Ditto, the cake is going to be great, I hope you can post a picture so we can see it! I know I asked you this already, but did your mom get her dermatologist appointment? I hope so. Paracetamol (Tylenol here) does nothing for my aches and pains, and it's not that great for you, too. Ibuprofen or naproxen sodium are the two that work best for me...I don't usually take anything on a daily basis, but the achy side has been a nuisance! Deedee, hope you're lurking, and doing good! Take care all...hugs!

morning That all sounds a bit worrying Marilyn Could it be your gall bladder? Hope you have the tests very soon and its easily resolved, l take naproxen for my knee, it's very good but not something you want to take long term S hates going to the doctor so no chance of getting him to go about the snoring... It's very wet here today, don't think the Lido will be on the cards, maybe soft play instead A is coming early as R has a very busy day at school Hope the meter comes early Pluto, unlike my fence panels which were due between 8 and 1 and arrived at 12.55 hope Momma Pluto is much better Have you had much time with your sister yet Teebs? Any improvement since your B12 injection Deedee? What are you up to today Ditto? Have a good one everyone

Morning Very wet here but the garden is loving it! M, good luck with all the results If the meter man comes late I won't even get to see mum today so I'm hoping he comes early. We have to turn off all 's and computer whilst he is here! I suppose washing machine too and maybe other equipment. Enjoy soft play if you get there Rainbow. Best to go before the schools close in July. H reminded me yesterday that I am having Antonia for two nights next week. Thursday and Friday. That will be the longest time she has been away and I have had her. I may be calling on you Ballet as usual today. My headache has gone now thank goodness. Howie tomorrow. I think we are going to see the new X Men film. The cinema will be packed with all the Thatters for the main screen. Wish we had booked Rainbow. Aimee is going and is besides herself, bless. Hope we all get some sunshine soon. What is your perfect weather M?

The man has just arrived. Great timing as A was weeing on the carpet then sat on the potty for a poo He says it will take about 3 hours Won't be seeing my mum today then. Had a lovely morning as Rainbow and A visited. There was some Doctor Who play Ditto, great news about your excellent sleep! What is Turmeric good for? I hope your mum's condition gets sorted out. She needs some relief.

OMG Pluto, that's a long job! We're looking forward to seeing you next week
A's had a nice day, I'm a bit fed up with the rain although it's good for the garden apart from bringing giant slugs out! I found 2 earlier and chucked them in a bucket of water but I've checked and the little blighters have climbed out!

Just watched the wonderful Kate Bush story. I need more KB in my life! The guy arrived at 3.30 and finished at about 6.00. It was an extra long job because we had a meter out of the dark ages!
We get slugs in the kitchen. They slide through the bottom of the door and leave trails.
It's so chilly!!!!!!!!!!

Hey! Friday flew by, mostly cos I kept thinking it was Saturday, lmao! Don't know why, think having Gabe over for the night in the middle of the week throws me off! B went to the shrimp lot down the road and got us a few pounds of really nice shrimp, so made shrimp and mirliton dressing. Lol, I call it dressing, but it's just really a shrimp, mirliton, and rice casserole...but it's yummy! Can you get mirlition/chayote/vegetable pears in UK? Deheaded the rest of the shrimp and put them in the freezer for later. We are going to a graduation party for B's great nephew tomorrow, B's going over early to help cook the jambalaya. Later Katie is coming to spend the night while her mom and sis are out of town. Cindy and bil are in Disney for 30th anniversary, and Sarah is in Lafayette, and Katie doesn't really like to stay the night by herself, although she has done it before, and we're glad to have her here! Rainbow, the doctor did say that sometimes gall bladder problems can cause liver problems, or it could be a fatty liver, and if that's the case then she said I need to lose weight...like I haven't tried, but very difficult for me cos I'm a foodie. May have to though!! I know what you mean about S and the doctor, it took B years to look into a sleep test, and only because he needed a test for his health card to be a truck driver. But it really has helped him! I know what you mean about naproxen, have to take a stomach tablet to take those, and only when I absolutely have to, like when my knee was so bad! Pluto, did you have to turn off all the electricity to get the meter installed?? Not sure what a Smartmeter is, not a control but a monitor so you'll know what to pay? Did you enjoy the movie? Not sure if I'll go for that one, but probably will go with Gabe if it's PG13 not R. B won't want to go to Xmen! I hope you get a visit in with your mom soon, and enjoy your Howie visit! Ditto, really glad your mom got her appointment! Such a struggle getting old! Did you figure out your camera yet? Did you check and see if it's still visible on your Settings? I think you all can empathize with this, especially Pluto cos I think you did something similar...I was trying to rotate a picture I have as a screen saver, and rotated the whole laptop proper...the task bar was at the top, the pictures were upside down, and it was crazy. Had to rotate the laptop upside down so I could read the thingy that rotates it back...it took me a while, lmao! Teebs, hope you're feeling good, and enjoying your weekend! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend...take care all...hugs!

Morning What a wild night One of my poppies is over and will need propping up. They are very hardy and it's growing out of the paving but is very tall. M, I looked up Mirliton. Looks like a squash. I've never seen them here but maybe specialist shops stock them. The Louisiana food talk is making my mouth water as usual. It will be lovely for you to have Katie staying over. No doubt she will talk about their trip Bonus day for you as you thought it was saturday when it wasn't M! Antonia has made the whole screen on the main computer go upside down and on it's side before. It took us ages to sort it out. The smart meter means that we don't have to have the meter read by someone who calls to the house anymore as it is done remotely. It works off the wifi. It will be more accurate to read usage of electricity and gas so will affect bills, hopefully in a positive way. Bills were often estimates previously. The electric was off for only a short period, not the whole visit. The film is this evening. We will eat out at lunchtime for our main meal. Not sure where though. The weather looks like it will be better tomorrow, including Manchester Ditto! Hope everyone is ok
