Why is everybody so against AOL? Um because it's a bloated piece of crap that takes over your system.

I've got aol pop-up blocker and Windows pop-up blocker and Firewall I think and AVG says clean as a bell, so how come I just had to delete 8 pop-ups and one of them for a nudey lady! The cheek of it!!

one of them for a nudey lady! ROFL sorry ditto, that one made me laugh! AVG is for getting rid of viruses and preventing new ones from infecting you. Pop up ads are usually the result of spyware. Install and run the selection of anti-spyware products I listed. And remember, never google "anti-spyware software" and install anything that comes up; many of those are actually spyware trying to get you to install it! Only install reputable software.

I clicked all the links you gave Cy, but most of them wanted me to buy! I don't have any money. Every product I listed has a free version that I use myself. In fact, looking at the links I provided, if you use the product link instead of the manufacture link, that should take you directly to the page to download the free product. I wanted to use the food money to go and buy Norton from PC World (how much is that now?) but daughter wouldn't let me! no norton! Seriously though Ditto, it sounds like you've got some major problems there.

Hi Rosie what I do is save the photo in Photo Bucket and then get the IMG url and then put it in the profile where it says Avitar URL then take the off and then the put size of the avi to 100 x 100 hope you can understand this cause I couldn't understand how to put an Avi on for ages ;D ;D

Yeah, the crucial part is that you have to save the chosen avi to yout computer, then upload it to an image hosting site (like Photobucket, as DeeDe says). That will create an url for it.

Ditto - might be that your laptop needs more RAM - Ive got all my music for my classes on mine and it takes up a lot of space, my nice computer man gave its memory a boost!! Do you think I could have my memory boosted on the NHS?? I kept forgetting bits of dances last night whilst I was teaching - though I must admit that at least twice its cos I was thinking about James....! ;D

ummm ditto... either your account has been hijacked, or someone spoofed your email address. Either way, I don't believe Comcast services the UK, so I'm assuming that is not your ISP, and you might want report it to them. Include that whole thing you pasted in here and send to: abuse@comcast.net

Gon on then Cy, tell me the secrets of transferring all my Favourites over to the new PC - IE.
I'm absolutely exhausted today so I'm not gonna push myself too much to get everything sorted out today. Gonna take things gently over the next few days, so maybe that'll give you time to pop back and respond.

Gon on then Cy, tell me the secrets of transferring all my Favourites over to the new PC - IE. Moving Favorites in Internet Explorer... quite simple. You will need a flash drive or some way to move files from one pc to the other. Assuming C: is your system drive... On your old PC, open up My Computer, and go here: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Favorites\ and you'll see all your links. Copy them to your flash drive. On your new PC, go to the same place, and copy the files from the flash drive to there. Or there's an Export/Import thingy you can do within IE (link), but eh I always did it the above method when I used IE (or at work).
