Hi all!
Due to Vulkon's Houston Con moving the date of their event to April 1-3rd, which coincides with the Jacks or Better Charity Poker Night, our event has been moved to April 16.
This change is necessary to enable our guests to have the opportunity to attend the Vulkon convention if they wish, without having to choose between the two events. It will also allow our celebrity guests, who have graciously volunteered their time for Jacks or Better, to do both events without causing conflicts to their schedule or contractual obligations.
NOW THE SILVER LINING ... The schedule change has now opened up the door for a previously contacted celebrity guest to attend our event. We will be announcing their name within the week and we are sure you will be as excited about their participation as we are!
We wish to thank everyone for their continued patience and support with all the recent changes that have been made for this event and hope that you will find that the end result is worth the wait.

Ditto....BA fly direct to Houston from Gatwick or H'row, and the cheapest flight I found was £305 return incliusive of taxes.....I was just looking in case I won the lottery Oh, and the hotel is doing Con rates at $72 a night , Gold tickets are $225, ..just in case them numbers come up, and if I actually remember to buy a lotto ticket

Btw, I did book a ticket, just gold for $225, and I'll get a concert ticket when I get there.....don't know about a pic with JM.....$75 and I already have one from each previous con....but I don't buy anything else at the con, so that's usually my souvenir....have to think about it! Ditto, you can do this, sugar! If you come in on Friday, I would try to be there to meet you....wasn't planning on going til late afternoon flight, but I would change that if you came! You can share a room with me....*Marilyn sneaks this part in*....James would be so surprised to see you in Houston! You could even fly back to NO with me if you wanted to.... AND the pound is STRONG against the dollar, you'd be rollin in money!!

I see Fernando has been moved to post at MTS (his screen name is Highlander)... make of that what you will. No matter what else he says there are still people who swear he was bad mouthing James in obvious hearing distance of fans, and also urging people not to support other Cons etc etc. Never mind. So, Cy, are you going to grab a gold or silver ticket and join M at this thing? The prices for those are quite reasonable; I would say the platinum were too steep by most standards. I doubt there'll ever be a better chance

hey everyone! this is my first time here.. uh im Kristen. and im trying to follow what you are all saying but i dont really know what it is your talking about. whats the poker thing?and SH? sorry if these are obvious ?'s. I really want to go to the vulkon thing too! except i dont have enough money. i want to try to get a job, but i figured it out and with just a silver ticket to get there, and stay in a hotel it would cost like 1,500 and i dont think i can make that much $ in so little time. What happened at the last Con? and do any of you think James will sign on to do another con this year b/c i reallyyy want to go to one. everything ive read about them seems SO cool and i heard all the people who go are reallyyy nice! i wish i had gone to the Halloween thing last year! i wonder if they will do it again this year.. hopefully!

I need to know what days you plan on attending. Since I am so close we can save money on hotel rooms and you can stay at my house in beaumont and we can get up and drive to houston if you want. I know that I may go on Friday just to get the ticket to the concert cause I have a feeling if I wait till saturday they will be sold out. Anyways just let me know hun.I AM SO EXCITED!

Thanks for the heads up from NN.... ....and PK for moving it where I could see it, cos I have not been on as much lately. Allie, I'm really glad you're coming so we can finally meet up! I appreciate the offer of sleeping over, but I made reservations at the Sheraton right after I confirmed my ticket! The hotel has already charged my credit card in what they call a 100% deposit rather than the usual hold situation! But I should be there Friday evening....not sure what time cos I haven't booked a flight yet, and staying til Sunday late afternoon if I can arrange a flight then. We can exchange phone numbers anytime....just pm me when you come back on next and I will get back with you..... Are there any other board members from the US (or even UK) gonna be there, cos we could maybe meet up with you all, too?

This event is now only 6 weeks away and we wanted to take this opportunity to update you about the current guest line-up and to tell you about the addition of a NEW ONE-DAY ticket!
In addition to James Marsters, Amber Benson, Andy Hallett, Jonathan Woodward and Jenny Mollen, we have just added Camden Toy and hope to add at least one more guest to the line-up!
The one day only tickets were created in response to numerous requests from fans that either could not attend for 2 days, or whose budget just did not allow them to attend for 2 days. We sincerely hope that the addition of the one day ticket will now make it possible for those patrons to attend. (See more info below)
Also please note that there are still great seats available in the Platinum B section and Gold section. Silver section is almost sold out as most of those remaining tickets were converted to One-Day only tickets. (This was done to keep the number of attending patrons at or below the 500 maximum we are scheduled for.)

Numerous other items will also be auctioned off: including signed photos by other actors from both Buffy and Angel and numerous other goodies.
*Bronze Dance:* On Saturday night, join us at the Bronze Dance Party with our MC and DJ "DIZ". The Bronze Dance is "free" to all our patrons, but you must present your Vulkon Convention badge for entry. Dance will run 11 PM - 2 AM or so and will be attended by several of our celebrity guests.
*The Friday Cocktail Party with our guests, and Karaoke Contest:* For those of you who purchase tickets to this separate event, the Cocktail Party will run 8 PM - 10 PM. All of our guests (except James Marsters) will be joining us for the evening, which promises to be a riot with Andy Hallett hosting and singing a few Tunes! At 10 Pm the doors open for ALL our patrons to participate in our Karaoke Contest with Andy Hallet serving as Celebrity Judge!
