I see they have added a London date too:
Monday, October 4th, 2004 *NEW* The Troubadour 263-7 Old Brompton Road London SW5 9JA
Now, as to their Living Room tours... some of you have been in my living room. Do you think it is possible to squeeze 15 people into it? LMAO! Well, with doors open into the kitchen and the garden, and folks on the stairs and Spike's Landing (hey, remember that weird dream I had about standing on the landing singing my heart out, with James and Charlie deMonster accompanying?!). Would sure give the neighbours something to think about, huh? Revenge would be oh so sweet ;D

This is DebW's report. I am just moving it for her Troubadors Man I could use some sleep! got in at 2AM this morning and had to be up at seven to go work an eight hour day.. but it was so worth it!
Have to praise Common Rotations organisation, they said that our names would be on a list at the door and, despite the extreme lateness of our booking this proved to be the case .. we were impressed!
The Troubador s a tiny but really rather nice venue .. upstairs is a coffee house/wine bar type thingy (very atmospheric, the ceiling covered in lutes and other Troubadory things).. then down in the cellar is a tiny venue with a bar a stage, and lots of cosy corners (not that you could have seen the band from there) Christy and I decided to play at being fire hazards , standing on the steps of the fire exit but promising the staff member in charge ( who , incidentally we have also seen at various cons dressed up as Spike) that in the event of a fire we'd be first out the door and we promised faithfully not to spontaniously combust in the meantime. At one point we shared our vanatage point with the guy who was videoing the event .. hope he didn't pick up our singing!!,
The band came on at nine and were in fine form, very chatty, very sweary and in great voice . Adam was clowning it up and there was a lot of freeform experimentation with lyrics .. some of it quite rude! . It was hot, sweaty and the best fun!. They finished with a rousing version of Billy Bragg's "waiting for the great leap forward" by which time it was 11PM . and ,since we were an hours tube ride from our car and then two hours from there to home we had to dash off , which was sad as there were some nice people there and we'd have loved to stay and chat!
So that's the third time we've seen the band .. they seem to be coming back in April and we shall no doubt be testing out the ticket purchase system again.
Common Rotation .. really rather good! go see them

She texted me (haha, she'll hate me using that word! ) to say she was aching too much to sit and type up her report just yet. What about yours, Ditto? There were some fleeting comments in Prattle, but....

Thursday, April 21st & Friday, April 22nd, 2005 The Troubadour 263-7 Old Brompton Road London SW5 9JA All Ages Click here to order your ticketsSunday, April 24th 2005 The Cavern Club 10 Mathew Street Liverpool, England L2 6RE Phone: (0)151-236-1965 7:30PM Click here to order your tickets FYI and my rant The Cavern is a crap club if you are disabled the stairs into the club are spiral and there isnt another access point. Though the bouncers did offer to carry me down when I went to see GOTR the other year. though I had asked if it was suitable for disabled and if a chair would be available and was told everything would be ok it was all lies. Thankfully a chair was found by a GOTR steward, but a wheelchair bound person wuoldnt get in to the club in the first place.

Apparently The cavern has a lift access into the building. Only thing to arrange would be seating. I wouldnt mind sitting on that ledge again I had a wicked view of James last year ;D even better one later in the bar I was hoping JM would do a tour same time too or a con at least then we could pack in as much as possible.

Bringing NL's Troubadour gig report here she was too fecking lazy to post it here posted it in Prattle originally. we got in pretty late, the boys didn't come on till after 10 so it was after 12 before we left the Troubadour. Really good night, the support was Korn Mo, very funny bloke with a good voice, looks a bit like a young blond, slightly skinnier Meatloaf ;D Not many songs from my fav albumn Big Fear, but they did do Indie Rockin, which was great and everyone joined in. You'll have to check elsewhere for the setlist though, I'm hopeless! The finished off with a song dedicated to all the Louisiannans hit by the hurricane, which was great, NN and I were thinking about you M We met up with Lisa, Debbie, Chrissy, Buddy and a couple of others before the gig, had some food in the Troubadour and spent a fair bit of time smoking in the garden whilst the diehards were queueing on the stairs and sitting outside the loos for hours on end. The loos were pretty nifty, girls on one side, blokes on the other, with communal sinks in the middle, the hand driers were likely to take the skin off your hands they were so powerful! We had a good vantage point at the front, but half way through, 3 Amazons arrived and planted themselves in front of us, resulting in a bit of a brew involving NN and another member of our group, whose name I don't know LOL, things got vocal, but thankfully no punches were thrown!! but that was enough to send them packin ;D Definitely a good night, and we managed to catch the tube safely back to Finsbury Park and the late night chippy NN was doing her usual, hooker-here-come-and-get-it look so we got a fair bit of attention around Finsbury Park! she nearly clicked with a posh bloke down on the Brompton Road, thankfully we had a gig to get to so that was averted Though we nearly lost her to Korn Mo Right I'll sign off now and let NN 'ave a go!

How have I heard of Korn Mo before? Has he supported them in the past?
Shame bendy couldn't go. And Christy posted a quick report last night on her LJ, from the hotel; a bit of a squee, and Jordan shirt details ;D, but not too much else as the connection was gobbling up her money, tsk. Hope for more from her and Deb when they get home.

Yeah Korn Mo are old favs of CoRo I think, yeah that was pretty shitty about Bendy not getting there! Hopefully Christy and Deb will be a bit more expansive on the set list and details what's a Jordan shirt? Eric had on a stripey shirt, but it didn't match Korn Mo's, diagonal striped shirt and vertical striped pants, lovely! quote] Bringing NL's Troubadour gig report here she was too fecking lazy to post it here posted it in Prattle originally. I'm hopeless PK, but you know you love me anyway
