Be still, my Spangel heart Spike and Angel Reunite for Deluxe Figures! With Series 1 of our Deluxe Buffy the Vampire Slayer figures now on sale, we’re pleased to officially announce the second series, featuring everyone’s favorite vampires with souls; Angel and Spike! Based on their appearances on both Angel and Buffy, Series 2 will feature two core figures and several exclusive versions of each character.
Both descended from the Master himself, Angel and Spike have always been rivals; whether it be for leadership of the “Fang Gang” or for Buffy’s heart. After being cursed with a soul by a Gypsy clan, Angel roamed the world before finally accepting his role as a Champion for the Powers that Be. Spike, on the other hand, won his soul through a series of challenges in order to become the man he thought Buffy deserved. Neither vampire wound up with Buffy, and both ended up working for and later destroying Wolfram & Hart.
You can expect the same articulation and interchangeable parts featured in the recent Buffy and Faith figures, but with improvements and a few surprises. This release is sure to compliment the previously released Spikes and the upcoming Angels, making each figure a necessary addition to your collection. The individual figures will be announced at a later date, but rest assured they will come as a treat to fans of both series. More news will follow as next year’s release date approaches, so be sure to read your E-Spectrum emails! Diamond Select

And here's an update from Diamond SelectDeluxe Spike and Angel “Destined” for Greatness!
Even though both Buffy and Angel won’t have new episodes coming any time soon, the upcoming Deluxe Angel and Spike figures aren’t slowing down! After a brisk sculpting and approval process, these amazingly articulated vampires are scheduled to make their public debut during February 2006’s American International Toy Fair. Since two months is a long time to wait, we thought fans would appreciate a few more details about everyone’s favorite vampires with souls.
Due to be released in the Summer of 2006, the core assortment of figures will contain super-articulated versions of Angel and Spike from “Destiny.” Fans will surely be pleased with interchangeable arms, removable jackets and awesome accessories taken right from the episode!
The Deluxe Series 2 assortment will also feature a first for DST – each case will contain one battle damaged short pack figure of both Spike and Angel in each case! Images of all the new Deluxe Angel and Spike figures will be released during February 2006’s Toy Fair along with images of the exclusive versions from both Buffy and Angel.

Darn, the new Diamond Select Spike and Angel figures don't look as good as I'd hoped And the battle damaged versions look like they've just been shaking their ketchup bottles too vigorously... Diamond Select
