We have a viewing on Wednesday at 1.30!!!!! Tuesday evening will be a another busy one for me with the cleaning.I'm hoping that the salvation Army will take all items tomorrow, including the risr/recliner chair. It's very comfortable but way too old fashioned for my taste. The cat is currently claiming it! Very quiet day at work as my meeting was cancelled. So tired tonight.
Rainbow Do you need a union rep? Are they likely to be difficult? Best to see what they say though. I hope your throat feels better and the cold is no worse.

Hey!
We’re watching the first official Saints game of the year! Crazy time in NO...the official celebration with music and stuff was cancelled because of the heat, but that doesn’t stop thousands from having tailgating parties all day around the dome! Funny story about Gabe, he got home really late after the game Thursday, and was up early the next morning for school. That afternoon his mom called him for supper, and he was sound asleep in his jeans and school shirt! She woke him to ask if he wanted to eat, but he was too tired! He slept all the way through until morning. Made me lol...Gabe does NOT miss meals! 🤣🥰
Rainbow, that’s a real shame about your family, you don’t deserve to be left out. Hopefully, one day S will call a halt to the snubs...he seems to be a very necessary part of their child care plan, and able to make some changes. I hope all goes well with the work meeting, maybe union person will have some input to help you.
Pluto, glad it was a lighter day than expected, save a little energy for the last minute work for the viewing. Hope it goes well!
Take care all...hugs!

Morning but No 1 daughter has a bee in her bonnet about it so l will double check.. I thought so but it's good that she looks out for you in a protective way Oh no! all the emojis are fading except for a few. is that the same for everyone? C'mas ones are still good though M, maybe Gabe is going through hormonal changes messing with his routine, bless him! I can't believe you are having all that heat! Is it really unusual for the time of year? I will dig deep for the energy! Think I have a quiet morning.

morning Poor Gabe, those late nights and early mornings will get you! A had a good first full day at school, he has breakfast club 3 mornings a week and yesterday was the first one, he tried some cereal he doesn't normally eat and had chicken 'in some kind of sauce' and mashed potatoes for lunch, sounds like he is up for trying new things, he was very happy to see me at the end of the day Glad you have a quiet morning Pluto, do you need a hand with anything after work? S has the girls so l can pop round if you do Planning to phone the union first thing then maybe a bit of gardening if the weather stays dry Have a good day everyone ETA the union said Yes! They absolutely should attend to support me so now I have masses of papaerwork to fill in and sort out ....

That's good Rainbow. Is the meeting next Monday? Hope you got all the paperwork sorted out 'hugs'. Good on A for trying different things at school. I think it's easy to underestimate what a huge change starting school is. You can never be 100% prepared. It turned out lovely here today. Very warm and sunny. Busy at work but lots of lovely colleagues were in too. I'm just having a rest before launching into house stuff again. The Salvation Army came but just the one bloke as his colleague was . He told H he didn't want to let us down again but he had to leave two items that need two strong people so will come back next week. Teebs, no pressure to come on if you are not up for it but we are thinking of you 'hugs'. Ditto, I know you will be here life and wifi allowing. Hope you are well DeeDee I'm really missing the emojis

Evening
Just spoke with the union case worker who said because they have made the meeting a level 2 one the next stage is possibly to sack me!! That's worse case scenario but she said West Sussex are getting very tough on long term sickness, l cant believe they could do it when l will be back to normal after my op so hope it doesn't come to that, l'm way too old to look for a new job...

FFS 'angry face' you've worked for them for years! Sure it won't come to that and you can probably give them an approximate return date. I shall go off too if necessary!!!!! My sister has found the perfect bungalow in East Preston. Only came on today so she is ringing tomorrow. It's slightly further out than we'd hoped but the garden looks fab and it already has a wet room. Our dentist is in the same area and there are local shops. I'm sick of all these claening and sorting and we haven't even had one viewing yet. I shall watch Bake Off and let the house sell itself

Hey! Rainbow, that would be really messed up if they let you go right now, cos technically you're not long term disabled, you have the ability to be back at work before the year is out! I'm hoping for the best for you, good thing you called the union rep! I hope A is still enjoying school, does he tell you much about his day? Pluto, hope you really did take a break from cleaning and watched your program! I hope there's good results tomorrow for you, and for your sister, too. Will you go with her to check out the property? I don't know where our missing friends are, but I hope they all are alright! Good ensemble, learning an old classic, 'Stand by Me', and it sounded really good. We stopped on the way home to try out this new burger/chicken place, but were not really excited about the food. I had chicken and waffles, and B had the Big Poppa burger. A little pricey, and not really better than a fast book burger, or chicken tender place! Lol, but now we know, and everytime we pass it, we won't be saying, 'that place looks good, gotta try it?' The Saints game was a really chest clutcher, lmao! They were losing in the first half, came back strong in the second, and looked like they were going to win, but the Texans had enough time to come back and score a last minute touch down. I left then, with just a few seconds on the clock, but the Saints managed to get down close enough to the goal post for the kicker to kick a field goal...and we WON! Sorry if this is way too much American football, lol...just exciting game! Btw, the smilies are looking a bit blurred for me, too...but they seem to still work?! Edited it to add...well, no they do not! They are just weird little blobbies bouncing and rolling! Oh no! Take care all...hugs!

Morning I did watch Bake Off! Tricky bread week. I was ready for bed just after 9.00 though. Rainbow, try not to worry about the meeting. M, it's good to try different places but so disappointing if they don't live up to expectation. Stick to your faves ..............my fave smilie!! Stand by Me is a great classic. H's half sister sang it at their dad's funeral. Who chooses the songs that they get to learn and play? Sorry I don't share your excitement about American football but it's great to see you be so enthusiastic and it's always exciting when there is a last minute come back in sport. Can't remember what I am doing today. Maybe three visits.

Hello ladies. I didn't realize it had been so long since I'd been on here, until I read about PK. Hope everyone else is doing well. It's unfortunate that she never gave anyone else the ability to make forum changes, lock/remove threads, etc. It stinks when there's no one to keep the place tidy.

Hope it goes smoothly whatever you have going on Pluto It's been a very traumatic day Rainbow. A mum was acting strangely when I arrived on a visit and wouldn't open the door. Her mum had already alerted me that she had posted what appeared to be a suicide note on social media. Her mum lives in Essex and was besides herself. The mum spoke to me through the window strangely then thrust the 4 year old outside, locked the door and took an overdose. I had a distraught child clinging to me whilst trying to ring emergency services and a manager. They all had their phones off as directed in a meeting!! Police arrived, then ambulance and a colleague. The older daughter had arrived too and had keys and was screaming at her mum who was barely responsive. She was crying, I was crying, the child was crying. It was awful. Family arrived a few hours later. I had to collect the 15 year old from school and tell her as she had only been told mum was in hospital. I am shattered now but training day tomorrow so nothing too taxing. H is and Antonia lively so trying to sort dinner now.

Pluto what an awful day! I'm sure you handled it as well as you possibly could, thank goodness you could get some support, if not from a manager. Did your viewing go ahead today?

Sorry it's all so difficult Ditto but good to see you
I think the work stuff is clearer now, they are doing things differently which was why it went to stage 2 but just means long term sick, not straight on to stage 3. Hopefully the meeting will be Monday
We're supposed to be in for nice weather the next few days, fingers crossed
Hope you've unwound a bit Pluto x

Hello Ditto. Hope you enjoyed Clevely. At least you can enjoy the piccies. Sounds like more help is needed for your mum. Can you spend some time at your place for a wee break?
I'll believe the weather when I see it but I hope it's good. I need sunshine over the weekend as it will be one year since my dad passed.
Rainbow I hope it all gets sorted once and for all at the meeting and you can have the op with no worries regarding work.
