Good morning A pitiful amount of snow but just enough to make foxxy look good in the garden. I have to drive to London later on today so need good roads. I'm driving back Sunday morning 7 am and the forecast is looking good. Fingers crossed! Anyone watching Winter Watch? The Cairngorms look stunning in the snow as are the filming of the animals and birds and Chris Packham as gorgeous as ever PK, can FF think of any alternative arrangements? Maybe some shared care. It probably depends on finances, most things do. I hope they can work something out. It's not easy looking after elderly parents and there is all the guilt too. Thinking of her. Ditto, all those lovely grandpiggles of Debs Headache has almost gone but I woke with a bit of a sore throat and backache so must have been sleeping on my back during the night and no doubt snoring. I haven't slept comfortably on my back since being pregnant and favour side sleeping. A cup of tea is helping Teebs, grandkids have that knack with the little finger. Antonia even has Howie jumping to her every beck and call. See you later Rainbow. Antonia has the snuffles but am hoping she is ok to visit.

Good morning peoples. Beautiful and bright here but no more new snow. However, what there was is still lying about and I'm scared to death to venture out. No choice today though as have run out of meds. Mum had a bad night due to lack of sleepers so I should feel terribly guilty but don't for some reason. I'm such a bitca. She's snoring one minute and talking to me the next! Made her a cuppa at 6 and can hear her getting to the commode now so presume she'll be up early today, this is early for Mum, she can snore on till 1 sometimes. The cat's bugging me too, have to feed her hourly sometimes. I hates responsibility and escaped it for decades, it's now caught up with me. I'm so sorry re FF. I'm not sure what I think about the whole caring thing. It's a new thing us all living longer and so getting dementia and having to care for parents I think. Part of me thinks sod 'em they've had their lives we should have ours, and part of me thinks filial piety. That soddin' cat's just bit me on the chin. Congratulations No1 daughter! Hope A isn't coming down with something horrible. Winter sucks! I've not been watching Winter Watch but I likes Chris, he's great especially re the autism, kudos. M fancy going to Nashville! Iconic. Have a great time. Must think about braving the elements...agh...

What about all those people on Dartmoor!? What are they doing out in this wintery weather. I have no sympathy. Off to daughters now...it's a struggle out there.

Hiya ๐ธ What little snow we had is gone now but not sure about the overnight forecast yet.
Pluto, Becky the MS Nurse is not long back from three months off looking after her mum and is doing an excellent job catching up with people. This was the first time I had seen her properly and I was very impressed but won't see much of her now unless I really need her as she has to cover all of south Worcestershire and it's an ever growing caseload.
And btw your pics are fab, one of which is particularly stunning. You should be very proud of that ๐ป
Hope No.1 Daughter is having a good birthday, Rainbow, and that you are having a better day than of late.
Ditto, what a naughty cat! Sorry, but it did make me laugh ๐บ

Good journey though sleet in London. Just settling down to our Who marathon now. We finally finished Luther. It was tense and gripping.
PK that is a large area to cover. The foxes are fairly obliging and the phone camera does a good enough job.
Sounds fun with the sledge Rainbow.

In controversial news the Cake of the Day was... three biscuits! Good ones though, a chocolate finger, bourbon and a pink wafer. Hopefully normal service will resume over the weekend ๐ธ๐ฐ

Evening all ๐ We actually had a very, very small dusting of snow last night, but most of it melted when the sun came out ๐ We went shopping this afternoon, but not here we took a wee run over to Kelso as I fancied a new pair of slipper boots. I got a lovely pair for my christmas unfortunately poor Lucydog was......shall we say unwell over them last week. It was lovely travelling over as a lot of the trees and hedgerows were covered in glistening frost and the sun was shining, it was like Narnia ๐
Have a brilliant weekend M ๐ค
Glad you arrived safe and sound Pluto ๐ your pics of the Fox are gorgeous, youโre so lucky to have one visit your garden ๐ฆ
What a great way to take the grandkids to the shops Rainbow ๐ sorry youโre still feeling yucky and now have a cough, a hot toddy before bed might help ๐ฅ๐
I hope you wrapped up well to go to your daughters Ditto,, is your snow clearing yet? It looked pretty bad down your way on the news.
What a dilemma for your friend PK, it isnโt easy, Iโm so glad I have mum here with us. Your MS nurse sounds lovely such a shame you wonโt see her as much โน๏ธ Oh and Iโll second Rainbow, what was the cake today? ๐
Stay warm and safe all ๐ค
ETA, it took me that long to type Iโve just noticed youโve posted about your afternoon treat PK ๐คญ

Good Morning Snow overnight but the Sun is out Teebs, it must have been lovely with the Narnia effect. Hope you got your new booty slippers. My mum never has the cake at afternoon teatime. She always has two pink wafers. Rainbow, Luther was Will there be more or is that it!!!!!! He does that role so well but has had more lives than a cat. I think we are sticking with our cancelled plan from a few weeks ago which was to visit Borough Market, get a hot meat sandwich, wAlk along the South Bank to Tate Modern and find the viewing platform on the 10th floor. Have a restful day Rainbow

Good afternoon all. Gloriously sunny here, glistening on the old snow. There's a bit of a breeze, I can see the leaves and flowers on the Lenten Rose on the patio table through the window and they're lit up with the sun and blowing about a bit. I'm staying put. Why don't I see the foxy photos on my page? Facebook can be so annoying. I shall seek them out. I SHOUTED at her and she had the grace to look embarrassed and proceeded to wash herself as if it was all a mistake. She cracks me up that cat. I can't imagine the bungalow without her but she's absolutely ancient for a cat. Three biccies! Are they having a laugh? I can eat five while I'm making Mum a cuppa. Pink wafers are my fave but I want the whole packet as they're so light. Wonder what you'll get today PK? I've got a Christmas Pud I could send if you're desperate. Teebs you didn't get one giant slipper boot did you? The Big Yin always used to take the mickey out of those. Hot meat sandwich for some reason sounds rather rude, but just the ticket in this weather. R daughter isn't really better, she's supposed to have more procedures but is putting it all off. She gets very breathless and can't lay flat to sleep, she also gets headaches a lot. My son isn't good either. I'm always so worried all the time. Sledge sounds good fun. Does anybody know how I can send somebody some money in a quick fashion? You'd think in this day and age you could just do it no worries. I do have the persons bank details. Could I just pay in the money to their account even though it's not my account? They might think I was money laundering.

The quickest way is direct from your bank to theirs if you have internet banking and their details Ditto, otherwise you can go into your bank and get them to do it

Today's Cake of the Day looks to be completely non existent and we haven't even had a cuppa this afternoon. Scandalous! There's an atmosphere of panic around here today although they seem to have a full complement of staff, but often the tone is set by the nurse in charge. I was presented with the wrong lunch as well and as the cook makes exactly what she is told has been ordered there was no chance to swap so I just ate the veg.
I'm using the hudl today but have become so used to using the phone that I am struggling a bit. I shall swap over later.

No afternoon tea that's scandalous PK. Maybe you need your own supplies! Ditto it's really easy with internet banking to move money between people. I'm on the Lemsip. Snotty today and not feeling 100%. It was bitter out but the chicken and stuffing sandwich was very tasty. We had great views from Tate Modern too. Crystal Palace just won their match

Sorry you have the lurgy Pluto but sounds like you had a great day all the same.
I do have my own supply of goodies but just crackers, crisps and Kitkats. Not the same as freshly baked cakes though.
