Hey! The day flew by, we had to get to the Dome by 11 to park and find our seats. The dome is actually called the Mercedes Benz dome, used to be the Super dome and old habits die hard, lol! It is the infamous dome from Katrina, so much misery there, not meant to be a huge long term shelter, and to be honest, it was miserable all over, it was just easier to reach the Dome area cos it's in downtown NO, and staging area for so many rescue groups. Up town was so much worse, after the levees broke! But it's fully restored many years now, and a really nice venue. So many food vendors: jambalaya, bbq, shrimp poboys, nachos, burgers and fries, so many good smells, but I was very good, and resisted it all... Saint Marilyn, lmao! I knew we would be going to eat after the game with Gabe, so it was good! Their team won, 49-7, which was a complete surprise, cos last year that same opponent were pretty unstoppable. It means they win the state div 1 trophy, and they were really excited! B and I left a little early when we realized it was a blowout for JC, so we could beat some of the traffic cos it seems I left the car on empty, and we didn't want to get caught up in the dome traffic after the game, it's crazy! PK, it's good to see you and know you're a little better, but we still miss your long posts! Ditto, it was cool and rainy here today, too. Lots of Christmas movies on right now, too...but some of the oldies are the best! Love Holiday Inn, and all the song and dance ones! I hope you are having a good weekend, with some time to yourself! Pluto, no use forcing the Santa issue, I hate those pics of crying toddlers, and the parents think it's funny! I hope you and Howie have a fantastic weekend! Rainbow, sounds like a good day with A! I always hated bouncy houses cos it looks like a concussion or broken arm waiting to happen, but that seems to happen rarely! I hope the knee is holding up! Is the Range a new department store? I need to get out and Christmas shop, mostly gift cards that I can't get online, like Ulta and Forever Young for Katie and Sarah! I try to do Amazon for the younger great nieces and nephews cos they live far away, and it's the cheapest and easiest method! Gabe is done, spent quite a lot for tickets for the Avett Brothers who are coming here in March. They are one on his favorite bands, and I think he'll be happy! Take care all...hugs!

Good morning Rainbow the garden will look really pretty with some lights. I've always wanted to know how you do outside lights. Do you have to drill holes in walls Have fun doing them. M, such sad memories linked to the dome. It's such a long time ago now but will never be forgotten. Fabulous win for Gabe's school. Good for you with resisting all the food outlets. No doubt you had good nosh with Gabe after the game. Howie and I went to see Mortal Engines at the cinema last night. We really enjoyed it. I love all that industrial steam punk look. There were some familiar themes from other films but it held it's own and was cleverly filmed. There is an actor I like in it but I didn't recognise him without his Irish accent!! We're off to the dump today then Howie will leave early again as it's the last Who episode tis evening I will visit my mum. Hope we see you PK

Wow, what a lot of great quality prattling! I'll never catch up!
I'm not quite as good today as yesterday because I was up far too late waiting for the evening meds. Supposed to have them at 10pm but dead slow and stop agency nurse didn't get to me til 12.30am!
Have been watching Star Trek :Enterprise for most of the afternoon on the Horror Channel and straight after that was a new series to them. The Hades Factor. Good cast and first episode hit the ground running. Good stuff. Looking forward to Who and Strictly later if I haven't passed out on the bed, the heating has just been cranked up so high that I have a damp forehead!

Hey! Cold here...again, lol...not sure how long it's going to last, but I'm going to enjoy it while I can! B and I spent a quiet day, Saints were on at noon, and it was a crazy game, with B cursing them out, until they managed to rally in the second half of the game, lol! He gets a little crazy... There was more football on all afternoon and tonight, but I just sit in my reading chair and do my thing! Tomorrow is another follow up visit with my gyno...overdue cos she was out on maternity leave, and just getting back. Be nice if she has some pics! Ditto, hurry up and wrap those candies...you'll be happy if you do! I worry that you feel so lethargic at home, and your mom, too...no chance of a gas (carbon monoxide) leakage from your boiler/heater is there? I hope you and your mom had a good Sunday! Rainbow, I hope the work week is a good one...what kind of holidays do you get for Christmas/New Year's ? Is anyone hosting Christmas dinner or do you all do your own thing that day? We've always had the tradition of family gathering for gumbo, and such on Christmas Eve since my mom and dad hosted it. Little sis took over when my mom got , and she has the roomiest house for it. B goes over there mid morning and cooks his gumbo, and I usually hitch a ride with Mindy and them later in the day. Christmas day is all leftovers, and usually Mindy, sil, and Gabe come over...Travis and Jasmine visit friends to catch up while they're in town. So quiet, but nice! Pluto, now that A is older will she be up early for Santa gifts? They seem to have an instinct about it, lol! How's your mom doing? Is she thriving there, or too set in her ways to make herself at home? I hope you have a good work week, too! PK, not sure how such a late meds schedule can be good for any of you guys!? Was this more of a blip in the usual way of things, or is it constantly late? I hope you have a good day, maybe some news about the move to cheer you up! Take care all...hugs!

Good morning Your Christmas sounds fairly busy M, with lots of family gathering. I don't think A will be awake early this year. Maybe next year. You're just like me when Howie is watching football. I sit and read too, unless it's my team. I'm quite happy to have the chance to read and insist that he does what he wants to I also take my Kindle to the care home as mum likes to read after a bit of a chat. She reckons she'll never settle there and I know she is unhappy but there is no alternative. It's a lovely home but not 'home'. She's always saying 'what's happened to my lovely things'.? We're hoping to get her a bigger room so she can have more familiar things with her. I was watching that Care drama last night. I know it's not always like that but it made some significant points about our general care system. I love Sheridan Smith and Alison Steadman and they were superb and Sinead Keeghan was good too. Quiet day at work: a training event this morning and building cover this afternoon. I think I may be hanging out with Rainbow at the event Hope the meds were more timely PK and you get a chance to get on here Hope your day treats you and mum well Ditto.

Ditto you need welly boots and a big golfing umbrella! All sounds like it is going to be very festive but who does all the cooking and washing up? Can you catch up with Sheridan on iPlayer?
Rainbow that was information overload this morning but very timely for one of my cases.
More letters addressed to my dad regarding Direct Payments. The Social Worker obviously didn't inform them of change in circumstances. Apparently we need to pay back £6000. I'll have to get my mum to sign a cheque.

Hey!
Hey Teebs, nice to see you here, it’s been awhile, although I enjoy keeping up with you on FB. Kids grow like weeds, don’t they! 😎
Ditto, your Christmas visits sound like fun, and exactly what Christmas time should be! We were watching an older movie, too...Haunted Honeymoon with Gene Wilder and Gilda Radner, so funny! I hope your mom is feeling better and you, too!
Pluto, do you and your mom enjoy the same type books, or do get titles especially for her? My mom and I used to enjoy a lot of the same books, she especially loved family sagas, following generations. My taste has changed considerably over the years..lot more steamy romance, lol!
Rainbow, I hope you get a good night’s sleep!
Well, got my final discharge from my gyno! She is a lovely person, and she did have cute pics of her new baby!
Take care all...hugs!

Good morning Scary and amazing how the children grow up in a blink of an eye! M we read different books. She reads the same sets by three authors over and over again. They are set in English villages and follow the lives of the villagers new and old. I choose books on my Kindle, psychological thrillers, family sagas with a twist and crime. My mum wouldn't cope on anything other than a real book. Good to hear you have had the final discharge from the gynae. Are you done with all appointments elsewhere now? We've got nanna Jan coming to stay Thursday till Tuesday and I don't know what to cook other than roast chicken! Any ideas? It needs to be healthy. Hope you get a signal andd feel well enough to come on today PK
