Well, he should have been at Moonlight Risisng Con, but the Slayerverse report is a bit confused, probably because of the translation, so can't work out if he was there and was taken to hospital from there, or whether he couldn't attend in the first place. here's the link to their story - www.slayerverse.net/tanet/net_buffy_us/index.php?navi=news.php&id=8800Maybe we'll get some news from Con attendees..

Okay, hopping around I found a post at City of Angels from someone (Daniella) who was at MR yesterday. Andy had to cancel his appearance because of these health problems, and the attendees were told it was because of an enlarged heart (not a heart attack) and that he was hooked up to an oxygen tank. Which would be pretty serious if true.

Okay, well, although the news about Andy seems to have taken the MR Con by surprise, Andy apparently contacted Sean Harry of Starfury (www.starfury.co.uk)last Tuesday to keep him up to date, and to say he would still be carrying out his Con etc appearances in the UK later this month (including Hyperion and Prometheus), just not the parties at the events. This sounds like good news, although a little for MR attendees. However, Andy's health is the most important thing.

Get well wishes to Andy....it depends on what caused the enlarged heart as to treatment, but if it's a sudden onset and he's on oxygen therapy it may be due to fluid around the heart, or an inflammation (Pericarditis) treatable but still worrying.

A Letter From Andy (06.05.04)
Hi everyone, thanks for checking up on my new site! I wish I had better news for you at the moment, however I am having a bit of a rough time right now, medically speaking. As you know, it would take a lot for me to miss a scheduled event (ya know what a ham I am...) but I’m unable to fly or travel at the moment. Last week I was hospitalized due to a minor viral infection that was complicated by exhaustion.
This minor problem turned “not so minor” quite quickly and was causing major problems with my lungs and breathing. I was in the I.C.U. At Cedars-Sinai Medical for the past 5 days under the care of wonderful doctors and nurses who I owe the world to. I am forever grateful for the care, concern, and unbelievable treatment given to me by all of them, but especially Dr. Sourpik Avakian. She was by my side every step of the way and gave me constant hope and lots of love. Thank you Dr. Avakian for everything...I owe ya one and I love you.
Doctor Avakian and I are both predicting and hoping for a speedy recovery, but I just have to rest, rest, rest, rest, rest, rest (as she says). I am very sorry if I disappointed anyone with my absence from this weekend’s event in the Poconos, believe me I’d be there if I could. I promise to make it up to you somehow.
So that’s it for now, I’ll keep ya posted as time goes on. Thank you again to the wonderful staff at Cedar’s, to my awesome circle of friends who have helped me immensely through this, especially Dayne Johnson, Mark Lutz, Matt Williamson, Dr. Avakian, Janet, Dr. J., Charlie, Reiss, Pat Brady, and my Mom and Dad. I love you guys very much. Oh and sorry to that little nurse I had to cuss out while in the hospital....I was kinda cranky that day....oops.
Hope to see you all soon.
Best, AndyHmm, doesn't sound to me like he should be travelling to the UK next week.

Yeah, I posted that on the previous page. But it doesn't seem sensible to me in light of the rest, rest, rest, rest stuff.

For anyone wishing to send Andy their own good wishes, his "web people" have set up an email addy - getwell@andyhallett.com
And unless there is any further news about Andy, I don't think there's any need to comment further here. If he is unable to attend any of the UK cons etc coming up, that should be reported in the con section. Ta.

News of an Angel soundtrack album - www.cityofangel.com/behindTheScenes/index.htmlA couple months back, Angel composer Rob Kral asked fans for their input regarding the long awaited Angel Score Soundtrack. Well, Rob contacted CoA with what is the first version of the track listing of score pieces that EMI and FOX are putting together for the CD. There's no news yet on the final version or a release date but this working list shows they are moving forward. Rob was eager for us to post the news saying, "The fans did contribute to the choices after all... the thing to remember I guess is that any of it might change if it goes ahead. We'll have to keep our fingers crossed."
Rob also gave us a few comments on minor updates to the list, "It is likely that Billy will be removed; we will probably need to cut down on the minute count for mastering purposes. There is a lot of material I wanted to include that we just can't squeeze into one CD. Fox doesn't wish to do a double album," he joked and added that, "Lady Marmalade may be replaced with Superstition which is actually a better track, with better performances. Dreaming of Darla will be extended by about 30-seconds or more, to include Angel sleeping with Darla before his 'Epiphany' as the ending to the track. (The track begins with Angel seeing Darla in his dream at the end of an early Season 2 episode, this is where it's revealed that she is actually in the room with him, to say the least)."
Fans please note that Fox announced to Rob they did not want a 'songs' album and he had to specially request the two that are included. With a current total of 24-tracks containing over 76-minutes of music many fan favorites made it onto the list including: Hero for Doyle, the Darla suites, L.A. sung by Christian Kane and a track by Andy Hallett as well as the Darling Violetta Theme (although not an extended version). Thanks to all the fans for their contributions!

Managed to catch DB's brief appearance on Sharon Osborne today. David walked onto the set with his dog, an Irish Border Collie which he got for his birthday 5 years ago, and the dog actually IS Irish, and from Sligo...can't remember the name...He was carrying his wifes dog , Rocky (!) a Chihuaha LOL . He said his wife had been ditheriing about whether to bring their son, and in the end stayed home. Sharon said that DB had an obssession in common with Ozzy....for wacky socks! David said he likes a bit of colour in his life, he just concentrated it on his feet...he then took his boots off to reveal a hideous pair of stripey socks! A clip of Damage was shown, and Sharon said Dana kicked his ass,and was he always getting beat up because he couldn't have sex on the show in case he turned evil....DB said he could if it was just a one night stand kind of a deal, but that yeah, he mostly got his ass kicked by the women on the show. SO then asked if his evil side came out of his willy ( the womans obssessed, in yesterdays prog she was having a discussion about modesty 'socks'with the actor who does the voice of Mo on the Simpsons) DB said 'I'm Italian, what can I say, there's always heat in my willy area...I bruised my left knee the other day' When SO laughed he said his wife enjoys it! And that was basically it!XT

That's kinda old for news! And with no news in it! He did the show ages ago. But I suppose there was nowhere else for you to put it. A bit yawnsome, not like James' lively appearance. I bet the studio stinks, with all the bleeding dogs running round.

Yep...thats what the XT is LOL I'm just hoping that the James one is on soon...I was outside having a fag when they showed it at the Audience As it was a clip of Damage, it must have been recorded c. 3 months ago, I'll just have to keep watching the drivel!

Exec to set up prod'n pod at Warner
By JOSEF ADALIAN, MICHAEL SCHNEIDER
In a summer stunner, Jordan Levin has ankled his gig as CEO of the WB.
After being asked to take a reduced role at the Frog, reporting to WB chairman Garth Ancier, Levin instead decided to leave. Ancier will now serve as the sole head of the network and is expected to name a president of entertainment.
Levin, who still had several years left on his contract, will set up his own production pod at Warner Bros. Television.
Move comes just as Levin was about to celebrate his ten-year anniversary at the net, which he joined before its January 1995 launch.
Insiders said Warner Bros. chairman/CEO Barry Meyer informed Levin of the change over the weekend. Meyer and Ancier offered Levin the entertainment president job - a position Levin had previously held, before being upped to CEO - but Levin declined.
Levin had been network founder Jamie Kellner's hand-picked successor as CEO, while Ancier had assumed Kellner's chairman title. Both execs just recently assumed full ownership of those titles, as Kellner officially retired from the Frog last month.

Bloody hell, how annoyingly late in the day is this?! I think you'll see the relevance to AtS when you read the article www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2004-07-14-wb-programming_x.htm
WB plans fresher approach to programming By Gary Levin, USA TODAY LOS ANGELES
WB executives on Wednesday blamed ratings woes on their past penchant for copying their own successful teen-drama formula to a fault.
"We were getting too derivative" and "stale," chairman Garth Ancier told critics at the summer gathering where networks present their fall shows. "We're trying to break the mold and trying to create a network that doesn't look the same every hour you turn it on." Ratings declined 11% last season.
The new marching orders: A more diverse group of programs with broader appeal to viewers older than its core 12-to-34-year-old audience, which will remain the network's primary target.
"To the degree that we've presented ourselves as just a teenage network, that's a very big mistake on our part," Ancier said. "We don't want to be NBC, we don't want to be CBS, but that doesn't mean we don't want those (older) people watching our network."
New this year is Jack and Bobby, a drama from Everwood creator Greg Berlanti about two brothers, one of whom is destined to become president. It features Christine Lahti as their eccentric mom and may have broader appeal; The Mountain, a more typical WB family soap set at a ski resort and starring Oliver Hudson; and Commando Nanny, an autobiographical sitcom from reality producer Mark Burnett that marks his first scripted series.
But there also is a bigger dose of reality, from Studio 7, a hybrid of a quiz show played by Real World-style housemates (premiering July 22), to Blue Collar , based on the tour of Jeff Foxworthy and other comedians (premiering July 29).
Ancier appeared with new entertainment president David Janollari (a producer of Six Feet Under and UPN's Eve and One on One), who said "it would be great to have a show that galvanizes an audience in (as) big a way" as former WB signature series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
But both peeved critics when they couldn't answer questions about the status of characters on some WB series. Janollari acknowledged he'd never seen the just-concluded reality series Superstar USA, and Ancier said he hadn't heard about a controversy over copycat reality shows.
<snip>
They had something original that appealed to a very wide age group, didn't they....?!
