Why Dru wasn't there... well - maybe Spike didn't exactly tell Dru about the "virgin's blood party" and went on his own? Dru could get jealous on occasion, couldn't she? Maybe he assumed she wouldn't like the idea of him feeding on all those pretty young Goebbels-looking girls and just sneaked out? And all the while Dru was still in Berlin or whereever Spike was caught, torturing some SS guys for information while telling them what the moon had sung to her? -- Hey Snow, good idea after all like you said Dru was known to have her jealousy issues and we've been told on more than one occasion that they didn't do EVERYTHING together so maybe Spike just snuck off for a bite to eat without tellin her and thats when it all happened ;D Pk, i've always been to the conclusion that the older the Vampire the higher or more important they are, after all isn't that what the writers have lead us to believe over all these years. Thats why Spike is always so respectful to Angel cause he like Dru is his senior just cause they're from the same family makes no difference, true she's not all there (which is why we love her right?) but you gotta admit that she's got one hell of a fighting streak behind her.

LMAO, are you watching the same show as me?!
Although they are 4 generations really, I tend to think of Darla and Angel as being the older disapproving parents, and Dru and Spike as the wayward kids. Never saw Dru as being a "superior" vamp to Spike. And I think fanfic gives us more vampiric hierarchy than Joss cared to dwell on. The Master and his extended Family are more worthy than itty bitty minions, but all the Family are pretty darn special.

LMAO, are you watching the same show as me?! Well er yeah, so spike isn't always respectful in the way that he doesn't have to think twice about answering Angel back, but then he also woundn't think twice about doin what Angel tells him to. Like on the submarine Spike was soon climbing up the ladder and swimming for shore when Angel told him to, and this was after he realised he wasn't bad old Angelus. but all the Family are pretty darn special Yeah true but then you wouldn't see Spike ordering the Master about, and him doing it with out a second thought, now would you??

I'm not so sure he realised Angel wasn't bad old Angelus.... he still was thinking he was playing both sides, had his own agenda, and when they meet up in S2 BtVS, he still doesn't know, at first. Anyway, I was just thinking of the respect shown to the Anointed/Annoying One.... teacher's pet... and it made me lol!
And I do think the 1943 Spike we were shown in WWF does not sit very comfortably with the Spike we knew back in the day.... He mostly doesn't quite ring true in ANY Angel eps IMO, because they have a different role for him in AtS. I think that's a pity. And a big assumption that BtVS viewers crossing over wouldn't notice or care....

What can I say apart from ...boring Spike was just the comic relief, and didn't get to do the job often enough. Didn't like the hair! The Prince of Lies was a hoot....and I suppose they couldn't call him Nosferatu due to copyright laws, but damn Camden does ugly vamps well! Lawson...bit too wimpy looking and sounding for me....had his voice broken at all LOL?

Ooh give over, he was gorgeous! I lurved Lawson! And the more I think about it, the more I believe Angel only went along with the proto-Initiative instead of beating the crap out of them was because he knew he had to save his darling Spike Oh come on, you saw his face when he read the dossier....
