MSN's Guide description: Thirst Lana decides to enroll at Metropolis University at the last minute and is forced to join a sorority to find housing at such a late date. Channel: KWTL 5 Airing Time: Thu 10/27, 7:00 PM (60 minutes)I saw this in the trailer that they aired tonight: Professor Fine *smirking*: "Clark, there's no such thing as vampires." LMFAO! Struck me as very funny. ;D And from the WB's website: Lana (Kristin Kreuk) decides to enroll at Metropolis University at the last minute and is forced to join a sorority to find housing at such a late date. However, her new sorority sisters offer her more than a place to crash after they turn her into a vampire and instruct her to kill Clark (Tom Welling). Meanwhile, Chloe (Allison Mack) applies for an internship at the Daily Planet, but the newspaper's formidable editor (guest star Carrie Fisher) may be more then she can handle.Obviously a Halloween episode.

I saw this in the trailer that they aired tonight: Professor Fine *smirking*: "Clark, there's no such thing as vampires." LMFAO! Struck me as very funny. ;D I couldn't believe that, either. ;D I thought it was extremely tacky. The least they could have done was save the punch line for the actual episode! I heard that and clamped my hand over my mouth to keep from screaming. ;D

Oooh, ooh! I saw that trailer. But there's another one, with a brief snatch of Fine and Lex. *gurgle* Check out Devoted to Smallville and scroll down a wee way to the Thirst trailer, offered in different formats.

Yes, it made me think of that too Cy; especially as M and I had just watched it ;D Have to say, I prefer him playing with Lex *** 8:00 (WB) "Smallville." With James Marsters, formerly of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," now a resident guest star as a brainy professor on "Smallville," it's more than a biting coincidence that tonight's plot has a college student named Buffy and a bevy of vampires. But here, Buffy is a vampire herself - and before long, so is Lana (Kristin Kreuk).NY Daily News

Especially with the ep being written by Steve DeKnight ;D But hey, Fine playing with Lex's balls. Doesn't get much better than that

Watching right now... Buffy's last name is Sanders... hmm... Lots of yummy Professor so far... 65 screencaps so far lol ;D "...tall-tales about slaying Buffy the Vampire don't make it into the pages of a real newspaper." heh! ;D ooh forgot to post a quickie teaser cap. I took 77 in total . And photobucket is down right now due to "Scheduled Network Maintenance" so using my ISP account; not sure about bandwidth... Anyway, onto One Fine Man:

Mmm, that he is. Thanks Cy.
So, was it a fun episode? Did it work, or did the Buffy running joke make y'all cringe?

Ah. Oh dear Smallville Where to start? OK, I know. Princess Leia, editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet, who knew? Favorite-line honors go to the actor formerly known as William the Bloody: "Clark, there's no such thing as vampires." I know, we saw the line teased ad nauseum from the second last week's episode ended. I don't care. Loved it. What do you want? I'm easy. But TPTB did lay the Buffy shtick on a little thick didn't they? You know how Law & Order is known for being "ripped from the headlines"? Every once in a while Smallville gives us a 'sode that's ripped from other shows. You know what I'm talking about. Last year Lana got possessed by a 17th-century witch and then proceeded to turn Lois and Chloe into her buddy witches. It had Charmed written all over it, right down to the threesome's barely there Alyssa Milano get-ups. So this time we get a Tri-Psi sorority vampira named Buffy Sanders. Sanders. Not Summers. (Summers + Xander = Sanders, maybe?) Anyway, the not-Buffy Buffy and her gaggle o' Harmonies initiate Ms. Lang by turning her into Ms. Fang. This forces her BF to develop another alter ego — Clark the Vampire Slayer. And how about Chloe's voiceover: shades of One Tree Hill anyone? I'm just glad she didn't go all Henry David Thoreau on us à la Chad Michael Murray. Some quick thoughts: The big costume party — how deliciously dorky was Clark as Zorro? That Lex is cruel. Chloe lay near death because of this "rabieslike disease," yet he only flinched when he heard VampLana was sick, too. Boo. But yea! to the first couple of scenes featuring Lex and Milton. The two menaces to society have something in common: an unnatural fascination with Clark Kent. Oh, and we got a bit of Brainiac badness. Finally. — Bettina Charles

Okay, so the vampire stuff was tosh, but I was prepared so just laughed at it. Strange though how I'm only ever remotely convinced by KK being an actor when Lana is wildly over the top - as a vamp here, but as Isabella last season, too. But hubba hubba!! Someone throw a bucket of water over me! That sizzling threeway of glowering intensity in the lecture theatre. And of course the pool table business. And the hospital room. And the sleek black ship fondling. And the casual spear-you-to-death-ness.

I agree ...the vampire story was pants, I wasn't prepared so I cringed rather than laughed...apart from where Prof Fine/James said 'There's no such thing as vampires ' with a straight face ;D The Clex-Flex was sublime Is it just me or did Fine slide into a Southern drawl on occasions....damn, I may have to watch the repeat agin , just for research
