morning.. sorry I was too tired to come on last night got in at 11.30 and straight to bed Yesterday was so much fun - started with photos with James - he was gracious as always and made a point of telling all the fans how happy he was to be in the UK - he was saying 'its lovely to see you again' to pretty much everyone and I think almost all of the time he had met us before there was an entertaining Q&A - can't remember many of the questions but he talked about how much he would love to do theatre in London - but couldn't leave his children and as he had a young wife and was likely to have more children is was unlikely to happen for years - until they were through college! James' readings were the best bit for me - I loved the Christmas Carol especially The autographs took a reaaalllly long time with everyone getting the chance of a little chat - Rosie took photos throughout so I'm sure they'll be lots posted for you to enjoy There was a very funny rendition of the 12 days of Christmas - Steve was the partridge in a pear tree and James took great delight in showering him in fake snow - photos to follow After the break there was a short-ish concert as St Paul's had to be cleared by 9. James did mainly old songs with a few new ones - James didn't do an encore and left really quickly so we were all a bit stunned and Pluto missed the chance to grab the set list (Rosie was faster ) We had great front pew seats so I am hoping my photos will be good - will try and post some later It was lovely to see old and newer friends and I am feeling all Christmassy

Brilliant day When James was showering Steve with fake snow he was actually up in the pulpit which made it even funnier as Steve is so tall and James usually has to look up to him ;D Looked like James was really enjoying that I loved the readings too especially A Christmas Carol, James really brought it to life. I also thought The Carol Ann Duffy Mrs Scrooge that James read was brilliant and inspired I was thinking about the set list all through the concert but was too shy and indecisive when it it came to actually going for it....story of my life in so many ways Covent Garden looked absolutely amazing all decked out for Crimbo....I had a few wistful pangs about the decision to move from London all those years ago but OMG the crowds Thank you to Lisa and the team for the smooth running organisaton Ditto, only went and left the CD's at the hotel after bringing them down from Manc but we all piled in a cab and went back to the hotel with them. Poor Ditto barely had a voice because of being crook

Forgot to say how enjoyable it was to meet Joseph Galliano What a lovely bloke and really happy to chat and sign his book. He was utterly surprised that they sold out so quickly Also, Rainbow and I had the most fab brunch ever. If you ever get to Carlucios's ask for the Magnifico one, it was to die for We went back there later to buy some Crimbo pressies from the shop then later again for the loo! Also, Rainbow and I made the foolhardy decision to forgo the elevator at Covent Garden cos of the queues and climbed all 193 steps but had to rest a few times on the way up......no one else was ;D ;D

We've had another perfect day, just come out from Lyceum, Lion King, it was fabulous, cried my eyes out when his Dad died. Yesterday was more than fabulous, the seating was excellent of course, we were just in front of James, couldn't have been any nearer without standing on his toes. I thought I was gonna be all blase when it came to having my photo taken with him, after all it's been ten years, but it was SFX all over again as my legs froze and my knees turned to jelly. I had to make myself move and he was just so lovely, he's still got it. DeeDee looked fabulous in her steampunk outfit, there were others wearing similar costume, I'd luv to have worn something like that. We met Rainbow and Pluto outside, as I said to them, hardly recognised them they look so thin. Covent Garden is so exciting and all London is Christmassy with lights and decorations, perfect for the James event. I could have myself for not taking my very old (if not first edition, dunno if it is or not, shall check) copy of A Christmas Carol to give to James, he had his red felt Santa sack by his side. Damn it, why didn't I remember to take it. I also forgot CDs for Pluto so those two came back in the taxi with us to St Giles' Hotel, just like old times, we took photos I'm hoping will be up soon, though I look a bugger on all mine...I knew I should have packed my push-up brazeer, everybody had cleavages to die for.

We're now sat in Travelogue at Kings' Cross, darn voice has just gone again...hang on ::sucks Strepsil:: ... DeeDee is typing next to me, Sheila (Alicia) is behind me but says I should just carry on, dunno what to say now...what do you want to know? We've had such a good time, forgotten how much fun it is coming to a James/fen reunion. Mags looked fabulous as did Deb's and Lisa hugged me! Got lots of hugs of everybody despite me ringing makebelieve bell to stay away ::unclean unclean:: LOL Couldn't say a word mostly all day yesterday, not that I say much anyways. P and R say I'm the ant antipesto antith opposite of how I am on the board. DeeDee asked the first question, the one Stephen asked her to about SET awards and he answered very happily and says award is on his mantle, I thought he was gonna say in his loo...says he'll prolly have to give it to one of the others sometime. At the end of the concert in the evening, there was a pause while the set list was just sat there, me and DeeDee and the nice American? lady sat next to me had plenty of time to get up and get it but we all sat back waiting for Rosie to get it and she did not long after. James' is sounding fabulous, I luvs his voice, always have. Looking forward to the next CD. Lots of people bought that book he has an excerpt in 'Dear Me' which sold out and Lisa came on to say that the author would sign copies free and advised peeps to go to Waterstones etc and buy a copy and come back. Bet he was pleased to have sold out and been so popular. Think peeps are always a bit surprised James is so loved. The girl next to me was surprised he was so big here, she goes to a lot of events in America but wasn't expecting a big turn out here and she says we're so respectful. One of the best bits of the event was the singing the 12 Days of Christmas with James in the pulpit showering Steve with goose feathers, so funny and volunteers acting out the parts, ie Rosie was very funny as three french hens and giving a little wiggle in her corset. DeeDee had two photos taken (as did I, a treat from DeeDee as was the whole happening!) and on the next one she wore her tee-shirt with James and Big Momma on the front, so at least LBM was there in spirit...aw... it came out lovely which is more than can be said for mine...I'm sticking it on the fridge as a deterrent.

Ahh , lovely reports and pics gels I almost walked up the stairs at Covent Garden after joining the hordes waiting for the lifts ...got as far as the sign that said 193 steps , remembered I'd done that walk once before and nearly croaked at the top so turned back and went for the easy option Covent garden looked splendid but i too was a bit disconcerted by the cancer research event going on just outside the church ...I joined in the Zumba dancing at one point , okay ...I tapped my right foot , but it was the thought that counted right? ;D So lovely to see Rainbow , Pluto , Ditto , Dee Dee and Sheila , and Deb and the gels ... and there was no way I was going to avoid huggage with Ditto , despite her whispering ' unclean ' BM was much missed Dee Dee , so do pass on that big hug from me Joseph Galliano was indeed a lovely chap , and utterly stunned that his book sold out so rapidly ! The 12 days of Christmas song was a hoot ...trying to get the fake snow out of the cracks in the floor of the pulpit ...not so much LOL ...that stuff stuck to everything like crap to a blanket , and both Steve and James will probably be finding flakes of it upon their person for days ! Such a fun day , everyone looked smashing , and as a bonus ...I found the church cats , Inigo and Jones , were quite as weird as my own cats and would only drink out of the tap in the kitchen I did have a brain fart on the way home and went the wrong way on the tube ::)had to get off ,swap platforms , catch the right tube back and just made the train from Waterloo by the skin of my teeth ...which I christened 'the Pissed-Up Express ' as it was full of drunks !
