I thought the ending was perfect, giving us hope, fear, leaving us wanting more. Too much (and movies) wraps everything up neatly. But the theme of this season was fighting the fight, no matter what, however crap the odds; and just keep doing it. There IS no end. Ditto may not be speaking to Joss but he redeemed himself in my eyes, and I'd happily buy him a pint, lol.

I could not agree more. The only faults I could pick and you pointed these out earlier are Harmony and Eve are still allegedly alive. I would much rather of seen them slain for what theyd id. Especially harmony. I really thought Angel was going to throw the bitch (Harmony) out the window when he said leave the building.

And Eve was a complete waste of time in this ep (I know, most people think all season!). Nobody gave a rat's ass about her or her feelings so keeping her in the mix was pointless.

Think her replacement was more useful than her and he was a pain in the arse. Oh well not like we have to put up with them again. Just going to miss the good ones. Im still sad about Lorne

Oh, Hamilton was fabulous. Pretty scary, I thought. Like a more interesting and frightening version of Caleb, without the misogyny.

Caleb wasnt scarey until he poked Xanders eye out I hated that scene and the bastards kept replaying it at the beginning of every ep after. Made me cringe everytime

Yeah, he should have just gone the whole hog and killed him, for all the interest there was in his character that season *runs and hides, particularly from Ditto*

I have a million thoughts running through my head at the moment - which is rather rare! At first I thought - "No! It can't end like this! Where's the bloody sequel??" But now that I've reflected I see it as the best ending there could have been. Everything left to our wonderful imaginations. God bless you Joss I was completely unspoilered for this but I had a horrible gut instinct that Wesley would die and of course I was right. I piped my eye Poor Wesley. He was a lost soul in my book. RIP Wes. I think a part of Lorne died too. I've never seen him so detached. I hated that he was the one to kill Lindsey. In actual fact, I hate that Lindsey died. I've always had some kind of empathy for his character. Can't really explain why But it shouldn't have been sweet Lorne doing Angel's dirty work A big for Joss. This was my favourite scene of all! To have Spike applauded for his poetry was just too beautiful for words. And the fact that he had the courage (well okay, dutch courage!) to recite the words that ultimately ended his life was just amazing. It brought tears to my eyes but then - Thank you. That was for Cecily. All right. This next one's called "The Wanton Folly of Me Mum." LMAO!!!!! Pure Joss brilliance - heartwrenching one minute, hysterical the next. Spike and baby was just adorable Eve was a waste of space (no surprise there). Gunn and Illyria - definite possibilities . Angel and Connor - awwwww My mind is reeling so I will have to watch it again and edit this post with my thoughts.

David Fury's take on what happened after the closing credits ;D A: Some fans wanted some closure on Angel, and are feeling all sad and empty about the open ending in the alley. Let's help them get over it. The dragon ate Angel, and Spike dusted himself on a rusty nail, right?
Fury: Oh, no no... Angel and friends defeated the entire army from Hell, killed the dragon, and destroyed Wolfram and Hart. The world is a utopia, where there's no more sickness or wars... And Angel, Spike, Buffy and The Immortal are sharing a villa together in the South of France. Ahhhh.... That's nice , isn't it?
