I crawled out of bed this morning at some REALLY ungodly hour and went on Facebook and seem to have ended up with one of the ten places to see R+J with James on Saturday...

More than I should have paid really - a combination of auction madness and sleepiness made me do it!! ( Your Honour!) ;D Ive been reading reviews and watching clips of the film on YouTube so I can make intelligent remarks! Its been years since i watched it - and i didnt like it. Have a feeling James doesnt like it either, some one said he doesnt like modern Shakespeare. I may have to take the opposite view to James and argue the point just for the hell of it! It would be interesting - no fun if everyone agrees!

I think that's right, and I tend to disagree with him ;D
I enjoyed Baz's R&J, infact saw it at the cinema then bought the DVD. I thought the leads made a convincing young couple and I loved the bits with the guns ;D

How much is on Facebook if you know where to look... Im off in the morning for a midday-ish flight and I will take notes madly at the dinner and a movie with James - as long as they dont consider a pencil a recording device!!

I luv all the R&J's modern and otherwise. Claire Danes and wotsisface were great and I like that other one with Michael Yorke only don't think that's modern. Lol at pencil.

That one's a real tear jerker! Our lecturer showed us that at uni and had the decency to keep the lights down for a while after it finished

From AnonyMom at CDS:
Hey all! On the way to the hotel post party. It was great to meet James and 10 fellow fans, and of course Steve & Co. James seemed to be in great spirits ... Let's see ... I asked about a Dragonball sequel and his response was "Fuck no.". (Sorry lilycat.) Poor guy lost a tooth on breakfast recently after not wearing his mouthguard on a flight (he grinds his teeth a lot, he says). Lots of Shakespeare discussion, of course. James would pause the movie if one of us had something we wanted to discuss, which was very cool. Dinner was Italian, but no one ate much.
It was very cool seeing James interact with fans -- he's so kind and attentive to everyone, makes sure everyone gets their say. There were hugs aplenty, even cheek kisses for everyone (I politely declined since I'd just met the poor guy a few hours earlier.)
Oh, and he said he's keeping his hair as is b/c Hollywood likes straight hair. He was wearing a long-sleeved brown shirt and gray pants. You know, I don't think I ever looked at his shoes.
James sat in a director's chair for the movie! Steve did offer popcorn but no one took him up on it.
I will bid you good night now and see you tomorrow -- I'll be twittering throughout the event @southorangebaby.
More later as is occurs to me.
