Yup, every brick counts. Not sure if your extra ones will have made it into the November count, Ditto, but we'll find out tomorrow ;D

Uh-oh. The league results are late and it might mean something is afoot! I do get nervous when people number their bricks. It makes it kinda obvious that swamping is going on. We're allowed to add a brick per email addy right now, although TDC obviously considered changing this policy a few months ago (when there was briefly a message about having a limit of 3 per user).
Today they left this announcement:
28 November: MISUSE OF THIS FREE SERVICE: TDC offers a unique space to fans, free of charge, in which to leave messages to their idols on bricks. If you've ever applied for a free brick you'll have noticed that you need to complete a simple form in which to type your name & message. If you have nothing to say then don't apply for a brick, it's pointless, it upsets other fans and defeats the purpose of what we all do here. Given that the whole point of this site is to leave messages on bricks it doesn't need to be written into the rules that blank bricks are unacceptable - it's common sense, period. We do not tolerate abuse of our system or swamping - a practice that is easily spotted by our system. This involves an individual creating several (sometimes hundreds) of emails to use to apply for bricks. It's an irresponsible practice that we can not permit on our site. All users should be respectful of each other and the free service, if you are not prepared to do that then we would ask that you refrain from using this site, it's not the right place for you.
You can see their point. I have a few addies as you know, but to help me keep track I use names on the bricks that I can relate to the addies I'm using. And I only do a few at a time, on different days. This probably goes against the site's spirit too, but I'm sure more people than they care to realise do something similar.
We'll have to wait and see if any rule changes come out of this.

They may have had a particular problem with blank bricks lately, but I think it's pretty clear they are ticked off by multiple (hundreds, gor blimey!) addies being used willy nilly. It pays to be careful.

I'll have to lay them differently from now on, and maybe not all at once,

Uh oh....I'm gonna have to get creative then. But there's not enough space really to give James a proper message....ie will you shag me three times a day and five times on a Sunday won't fit on.

I don't have a message to *put* on every brick and they don't want blank ones. The whole point of a "league" is competition, and if I take the *time* to follow their rules and do each brick individually with a seperate email address, they are just being nazis when they say omg nooo you can't do that! Doing that many bricks takes a *lot* of time, that I don't have a whole lot of right now. And if they take away the bricks I layed this month, I WILL NOT be participating further, as it will be a waste of my time and they are being assholes. Though a pointless in the end competition, it was kinda fun while it lasted.

I think it's completely blank bricks they worry about Cy - nameless as well as no message.
Although they clearly don't like the idea of hundreds of bricks being layed by one person, their own rules have been allowing that. To my mind, if someone goes to the trouble of laying multiple bricks with some kind of personalisation (which you do), it just shows what dedicated fans that celebrity has.

And ya know, I just realized something... they will let you *buy* bricks, but not take the time to lay a bunch of free ones... I don't care if it is for some charity, all you have to do is chunk some money at them and instantly get some bricks instead of having to take the time to do the email validation for a zillion free ones. The nazi name remains... ...and there's still no league results...

13 December: The league results for November have been delayed due to a system cleansing exercise. Apologies for any inconvenience. If you are unsure of the rules please read them and note that you are allowed to add one brick to as many buildings as you like per month. Smiley faces and symbols instead of text is perfectly acceptable, completely blank bricks are not. Bricks that break the rules will be deleted and this rule is applied to ALL buildings. Some buildings however have huge volumes of invalid bricks and so it is more obvious that the rules are being applied whereas on other buildings where there are only 1 or 2 invalid bricks it is less noticeable when they are removed. Whilst we appreciate the enthusiasm of some fans to get to the top, we would ask that you avoid the temptation to break the rules. One brick means one brick and therefore the practice of a user creating vast numbers of emails to get round this rule is unacceptable (and easily tracked in our system so we know who you are!). It's important that we delete all invalid bricks to reassure all other users that this is not only a fair competition but a unique and fun place to read messages left by other fans.
And yet in the FAQs they are still saying:
Hmmm. It'll be interesting to see how many get wiped out when they have done their cleanse.
Well, I'm still going to be adding bricks. I hope you guys do too.

Well, it looks like we haven't had any bricks wiped out in the BigCleanse. Just had a quick squint at the current wall and everyone is still there. I think we had 507 at October's count, looking back. And they suspended a November announcement because of the controversy. I only managed one brick this month as I completely lost track of time. I'd wanted to do them on different days, it wasn't actually me developing a conscience ;D Last time I checked they still didn't have a date for December's count so I got complacent. We could still just about manage a Skyscraper by the end of March

Yeah I noticed they'd not done Nov league count, and decided I'd not play in December if they were going to scold people for using multiple accounts, yet their official rules say you can. oh and here's the Super League: POSITION NAME BRICKS 1 Trace Adkins 12511 2 Kevin Sorbo 3582 3 Clay Aiken 2024 4 Chris Daughtry 1385 5 Pete Duel 1000 6 Taylor Hicks 911 7 Kalan Porter 815 8 James Marsters 707 9 Billy Ray Cyrus 707 omg my men tied! And then Trace Adkins on the top of the stack *drool*
