invisible-lift.livejournal.com/43706.html"This one had Marsters in, and was delightful in that the moderator was like, 'let's keep this kid friendly' to the crowd, but then GDL, Marsters, and Lewis kind of took it post-watershed because, uh...well, see also Gareth and the John Barrowman School of Public Speaking." - "I get burned by coffee and James gets scars from fighting." - GDL "- Lots of wonderful Marsters gushing about how fabulous JB is in the kindness/usefulness/professionalism category. Apparently he's made of win. That makes me happy on a purely vicarious level."

chattycatsmeow.livejournal.com/76092.html To whom thanks and credit are due "The room held 1,750 people and was full to the brim. The panel was quite fun. The moderator was the same fellow from the day before who asked very good questions which drew out interesting informative answers. One of the first questions was for both Gareth and James - "What is it like to kiss John Barrowman?" James said that like anything to do with what is normally a private activity done in a public setting, it can be a bit awkward. James also said that after kissing Barrowman, he now takes extra care with shaving. Referring to stubble and burn, James said he didn't know how women put up with it and urged all the men in the audience to shave well and shave often. Gareth said he'd never had a problem. When it came to choosing projects, James had some very interesting things to say about scripts. He looks for a script that constantly moves forward, that makes him want to turn the page to see what happens next. He also said that his management people have drilled into him that a good script does NOT mean a good film There are three films: The one you read in the script, the one you shoot, and the one that's edited. An actor needs to consider who the director and production team are in addition to what the script is like. Gareth said that the first thing he does is flip through looking for how many lines his role would have and THEN he reads the whole thing. He also agreed about doing the homework on the production team and director in addition to the script itself. Overall, it was a fun and interesting panel. "

Oh wow! had a amazing time a the party - i wil write it up proper, but to give you a taste - we ended up not in the room we should have been - we were outside on the patio - so it was HOT! James sang with no amplification on the guitar, he did a new song for us!! (and he had a new quitar called Pancho - Crystal the blue guitar had her neck broken in Mexico!) And it so great having him on our table - we had 2 v quiet poeple, 3 Gareth fans so there was about 5 of us asking all the questions - lots about Moonshot and Buzz, I asked him about 3 questions (which I tell about later!) We had Gareth first and we had just the 3 Gareth fans so we mostly let them talk - it was nice though, I did ask him about what work he had coming up - TW til Xmas - he starts filming next week but he wasnt allowed to tel us much - going to be in the States in January. At the end - Steve made James stand in the middle of the room/patio and he stood on a chair and Gareth lead us in singing him Happy Birthday! Yup - now THAT embarressed James!! ;D ;D It was great - loved it! Got some great pics tho I need to go to work with the anti redeye as i had to use the flash cos it got dark!! (there was lighting!) was lovely to just be able to talk to James even if only for a few minutes...and he looks so happy and bouncy and yes he was drinking red wine - but the one glass lasted him all evening! He did say he has just had 4 weeks off, which has made him feel good, after that year and a half of no days off!! He just so loves to talk to everyone - he is so articulate and funny - just great. And still have another panel tomorrow (with Sexy Lexy) and more photos (and the group ones!) - AND I get to be the filling in a James and Gareth sandwich... having a pic with them both!! And theres a bit more on Monday too... I'm having such a good time! oo - and Froggy took pictures of each table - James and Gareth standing with their arms round each other - so i got to stand by Gareth - and leaned on his shouder - the I found it was James' hand right by me on Gareths shoulder, so I said - "Is that your hand James?" and then I got to hold his hand whilst Froggy took about 5-6 picturs which we get a copy of to keep!! yay! It was lovely Im so happy.....

Good morning - its 10 to 6 - im awake and bouncing already. Nope, not gonna need that plane to get home...I keep remembering things and having to write them down before i forget again. SOOO much going on... I really noticed James gorgeous cheekbones last night when he was talking to me! Think it was the lighting and that lovely shirt (oo - and nice bit of chest showing too - I have pictures!!) And STILL have another panel to go this morning! Yay! All the James fans are great - had a good time talking with the other people on my table (2 others from UK) We had Janet on our table who i met in LA, and she is totally deaf - so she records everything and then gets it transcribed. So she will send me a copy when its done - so I will know exactly what was said...! Was doing my best to make hasty notes with Steve Salchi helping out Oh - when he was singing- he started with Katie! - went to do Not A Millionaire about 4 songs in, saying he was comfortable with that song, and then proceeded to sing " I threw a pastry..." As soon as he sang the line, stopped and went "Damn!" - said it was the trouble when you write your own songs! I always thought those 2 sounded similar!! ;D ;D So he abandoned Millionaire and did Looking at You. And then at the end, he started singing Looking at You again... he got to the end of about the first verse and realised we were all saying - "James, you've sung that!" and stopped and very loudly said "Fuck!!" which cracked us up. So he sang Birth of the Blues instaed!! he did have a set list...! New song is called either On the Moon or Song to Buzz - James hasnt decided yet - and it sounds pretty damn good! I am loving it - its not been as crowded as i thought it might be. Yes its hot and muggy, but its not too bad. And there are some amazing costumes - oh there was a whole group doing TW yesterday at the panel - all female and we had a bit of Jack/Ianto cosplay going on with them on the floor - yup - I did get pictures!! ;D ;D ;D One of them was a very pregnant Gwen. Seen several Iantos (all female!) and a Capt Jack, 2 Spikes (one male one female) but no Capt Johns yet!

Loving all the photos and reports - Thank you all, 'specially Wrigglerosie Had to laugh seeing James stood on the chair while they sang Happy Birthday! We did the same in Toronto and it embarrassed the hell out of him; such fun!
