Does anyone like ploughing, for future reference? Me me me me me me!! ;D I sound like some of those needy greedy types in the Marketplace but I'm getting closer to the river stage so need ex points please. 5 pm seems to attract alot of possibly the youger farmers, judging by the language and 'trades' on offer I regularly get that message about 'Error' and reloading when I am working at other people's farms. I can work around this and get the coins but I don't know whether I should keep going or come out Can be very stressful My place is a mess at the moment but I've renamed it and provided a tent for the hippies so if you want some chill out time please visit

PK maybe that fella had the trees 'hidden' with the spanner thingy? Pluto, I must check out your new gaffe. Do they sell musicstages on FarmTown like Farmville? I thought that was really comical when I first noticed it. Shows what types are inventing these things. ;D And on FarmVille I was all "pooh trees are nothing like that" but was just watching Open Gardens while having lunch and there was a plummy looking tree in the distance looking exactly like on FarmVille lol.

Duly noted Pluto. I'll try to catch you when I need some doing. Lol @ the hippy tent.
Ditto, Bill said not but perhaps he did by accident. Or FT just being contrary, as is its wont.

No, he's right PK, my whippersnapper was Sean lol. I was around for work but missed you again PK, we're always driving by one another in wagons... (rather than ships that pass in the night, cripes I'm obscure) Lol at Pluto, holding festivals and stuff. ;D You'll be wanting floodlighting next. I get snapped up tootsweet in the marketplace for some reason. Done tons jobs today, hope I've enough for a pond. Farm Town continues to delight...went to Jen in New Zealand's farm 'Hilbilly Farm' lol and it's huge, level 32 I think and she has a mansion but just one line of trees a chicken and a bull! The psychology of FT amazes me, then I'm clicking ploughing the whole thing after harvesting when the bull sidles round the side of the mansion and I swear gets up on it's hind legs and peers through a lower window. I near fell off the bed. I was either seeing things or the programmers have been round to Pluto's....

I will most definitely NOT be acquiring a bull if I ever make it that far! That's scary! When I failed to recruit you (and teebs) I just did it myself coz I wasn't in the mood for the marketplace. I've got lots still on the go though, almost ready, so I'll keep an eye out. I'd rather hire mates

I've actually come on here and FarmVille first coz I know once I'm on Farm Town that's me gone hayseed lol. I always look to see if any of you are glowing green to see if you're up for work, but I only have tiddy crops anyways... ETA I've been Jekyll and Hyde all afternoon...Sunflowers ready and on one about so I got the laptop and logged on as nephew and did it that way. Very confusing however at times...then Pluto came on to try and plough, she was fast but some plots refused to be dealt with...then nephew refused to clear off! Very unnerving. I shall hang about next time for someone to come on and harvest...Pluto would have been raking in river coinage...

My computer has been playing silly buggers. It's most annoying Thanks for the work Ditto Your farm is looking bigger, did you upgrade?

I upgraded twice Pluto. I bought a house too. I was gonna hold out for a mansion but thought wot the hell, when I get a bigger house the hossies can have this one. I'm utter rubbish at placing stuff tho' and think y'all are excellent designers. Dunno how you do it!!!

you just need to move things around Pluto - you've got loads of spaces - move your trees and you can run the rivers round the outside

Good ol' M. ;D You've brought her up well Marilyn. ;D Congrats on the rivers Pluto, I'd be happy with a pond. Why are they so expensive?! My fruit withered as I was too tired to switch on. That's on FarmVille, must check out Farm Town, I think I went for longer crops on that one. Planted cotton but felt a bit guilty, don't wanna be a plantation owner!

you do have to plan ahead Ditto - if you know you can't get back for a bit - I usually plant crops that will harvest on different days so I have stuff to do everyday Getting closer to level 30 - picked up lots of plowing jobs last night!

Good on you, wowser is that as far a level as you can go? I was doing jobs till half two. Crazy woman here. Marilyn had to tell me to go to bed on Facebook... ;D Some peep was complaining she wasn't getting any work, but I find if you stand about looking daft someone'll hire you. I did have a slightly embarrassing incident...I thought I was a lot faster now with this computer, well at least I'm not permanently Banquo but I went to this huge farm that was mostly given over to crops and ploughed with one other guy and when I looked most of the ploughing had been done quick as a wink! The workerguy and the ownerguy were having a convo about me lol "I didn't see her there" and "I'll just let her finish" OMg And they were whippersnappers or at least geeky young types, I could tell from their textyspeak. ;D I laboured on and just gave an ironic "Thanks guys" and got out of there. ;D Any minute I was expecting one of them to ask if I took sugar.

*snort* Well, you saw to my wee fields at a decent pace and saved me hassle, so I'm happy I'm debating whether to buy more land - not sure I can be arsed to move everything about

Post by Ditto on Aug 10, 2009 15:44:06 GMT
I'd luv more land...they only give you a bit more round the edge anyways... Took me minutes to fill that! If there's a vacuum I'll fill it, in RL and cyberspace. ;D

I went ahead and did it and now am on the verge of bankruptcy I'm at the stage where the land is getting pretty pricey. Good job I've got some high-earning crops coming up. Should have bought a wood-shed...
