Give over with all the talk of dried up old husks gals! ;D Remembered to get weighed this morning, and I had lost the pound I'd gained last week; big deal Must try a bit harder. And as people have been so brave declaring their weights, I'll give mine. Last week I was 16-13; this week 16-12 (and that is officially no "new" weight loss since before Christmas; but a total loss of 22 pebbles since we started with thread #1 :

Well done Rainbow It's great you'r back on track and such a good start. I've had strict instructions from my daughter to stop buying ready meals, pizza, chocolate , bics, cake, bread , crisps (not even Snack a Jacks) and a load more other stuff . Will life be worth living I could say :Pto that or I could give it a try. eah think I will!

and a huge well done to you all ! Did anyone see Terry Wogans argument against exercise the other day? He said look at the Giant Turtle...does very little, moves very slowly, lives to over a hundred...then there's the Cheetah, average lifespan 2 years...nuff said ;D

Has anybody tried this Gi diet at all? I just read something about it in the Tesco mag and it seems you can eat loads of malt loaf, yum yum, though I bet it's without the butter. I know it's the latest diet fad but I need a kick start to get me back on track.

Not really, but my mum's got quite interested in it as well, because it's good for diabetics, apparently, so she's trying out for my dad.

GI diets vary from book to book, and some docs say half of them aren't really proper GI diets; so you have to choose carefully which regime to follow.
Anyway, it is weigh day chez PokerKitten and I am somewhat surprised... infact I have some theories for my scales telling me I have lost 3lbs... Yes, [shadow=red,left,300]3lbs!![/shadow]
1. The scales might need a new battery, lol 2. It's a blip and I'll put it all back on next week 3. It could be true, and it is the result of the past few weeks' unusual activity and eating patterns, for me.
But whatever, I weighed myself twice to make sure, lol, and I am now 16-9 *faints*

well done PK and all other weight losers. I like the standing up diet best (ie calries don't count if you stand up while you eat them!) Glad you're back on line TeeBee, have you sorted your broadband out?
