Yes, I've seen bare torsos aplenty in S4 Smallville, but nothing more than that. But BrainiacButt may be reinstated for the DVD, if DeeDee has seen ClarkButt that way ;D I haven't seen the ep and I'm not sure if I will until it airs here; I will make sure I see Finecentric eps of course But, for those who have, did it satisfactorily resolve some of those S4 finale cliffhangers? I really enjoyed the finale, action all the way baby ;D And was left going NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, don't stop now! So, I may weaken, as I'm so impatient...

Guide: The WatercoolerSmallville I admit it. I'm superexcited for this entire season. We're about to get Tom Welling and James Marsters on the same show. Yeah, I know, I'm gushing. Sue me. But before you do, let's talk. Last season, I watched on and off, so I admit to some confusion with all things three stones, Lana's tattooed back and Jane Seymour. But that's behind me. I think this season, The Powers That Be really need to up the ante and become bigger and better, especially since the show is in a dreadful time slot. And here's just a few ways they're already going about it.
1) There's no better way to hook me than going all Superman 2. Seriously, the Kryptonian superhumans that came to Earth. Lionel Luthor uttering "The disciples of Zod must be stopped." Clark entering the Fortress of Solitude. Over the top, but I fell for it. Except for the way Kal-El got rid of the bad guys. Too easy and cheesy. 2) Clark now knows Chloe knows about his secret. Those scenes in the hospital were classic. But one thing: Why didn't Clark tell Chloe that his best friend, formerly known as Pete, knew his secret? I guess out of Smallville, out of mind. 3) Oh, Lana. Freaky city in this episode. I mean, scary! It's like she was possessed without really being possessed. Don't know how I feel about her and Clark's reunion. I'm going to have ponder that one for a week. 4) It seems my favorite couple on the show might be hitting a bit of turbulence. Those stares between Lex and Clark were icy. Fortress of Solitude icy. Where's the love, boys? 5) I saved the best for last, since it was appropriately the supercool last scene of the entire episode: James Marsters pouring from the spaceship that Lana stupidly told Lex about. Welcome to Smallville, Spikey! Can't wait to see what trouble you're gonna get into. —

Hate to bring the Ep1 thread back to the top with a post but... Tonight's Smallville was a "Smallville Special Movie Event" where they combined the finale from last season (Commencement) with the opener from this season (Arrival). They combined 'em like one 2-hour movie. Anyway, at the end, I studied the slow pan butt shot again. There is no nekkid bum. On the far right side of him, the goo doesn't quite cover, and you can see just the edge of black jeans and black belt. So he's wearing black jeans and belt but shirtless.

So he told us a little fib, did he? That must have been a great show, as I loved the S4 finale ;D I'm still teetering on its cliffhanger, with Clark in the snowy wastes, as I haven't downlaoded any whole eps. Hanging on for January ;D

Maybe I'd been looking forward to Smallville's return too much, but I was a wee bit disappointed with this ep. The S4 finale was cracking good, IMO, and I guess I expected the opener to be equal to it. Ah well. The scenes at the Fortress of Solitude were excellent, as were Clark and Chloe's scenes, Lex was hard and cool, the spaceship is the slinkiest most beautful thing, and damn but that strangely sexy oil slick looked awfully familiar! But the advance party of two were craptastic, and KK was the worst I have ever seen her. Looked like she was still on her season break! ;D She better up her acting ante or I'll be rooting for her to expire... But yay, Special Guest Star James Marsters - always looks good in the credits ;D

...and even better in the flesh, however brief ;D Heh, the bloke alien minion of Zod was Rileys friend Forrest from the Initiative , I only noticed cos Buffy S4 is showing again on Sky ;D I enjoyed 'Arrival' Chloe was less irritating ..just .TWs acting has improved, KKs hasn't and MR was just gah Looking forward to seeing more of JM , although possibly only in the boxed S5 set

Yeah, and he was way better as Forrest too. Mind you, they didn't give him much to work with in this.
Hey, I like Chloe, leave the poor gal alone!
We won't see James again til ep 4, so plenty of time to get your recorder sorted out NN ;D

Wow, what a cool entrance I'm completely new to Smallville so didn't have a clue what was going on or who is who, but I did enjoy it. Didn't quite understand the bit about Clarke losing his powers Can someone enlighten me? And if anyone fancies giving me a brief run down on all previous episodes..........please

Hmm...brief rundown of S1-4 ...nope, can't be brief Pluto, you know how I like to waffle ;D Best place to go for this would be www.kryptonsite.com As to Clark losing his powers in last nights ep , he didn't return to the Fortress of Solitude at sundown , so Jor -El removed his powers. It wasn't explained how though , possibly something to do with the Key appearing in Clarks hand when the last time we saw it Lex had found it in the cave
