I'm gutted too. I never got to see them play I was so looking forward to it. I love live entertainment and this was going to be such a bonus for me - a live band plus James. I've just passed on the bad news to Christine and Louise. Louise just kept saying "Oh No! Oh No!" I guess it just wasn't meant to be

I found out by email from the GOTR newsletter. Aren't you signed up fr that? My first thought was to post the news here, and then update the site, as it happens.
That's a bit harsh, seeing as how he funded their album and helped them see the world and play sell out gigs. They'd not have had that kind of excperience on their own at this stage in their careers.

And get him to sing to us and make it all better... if I make it, I will bring my guitar (okay, it's my mum's, but I have semi-permanent loan of it). Then we can ask him to play (though I volunteer someone else to do the talking, as I get tongue-tied and Willowish talking to people!

A from me because it is his life and his career, and I am sick to death of him being slagged off these last few weeks for one thing or another when he always tries to do his best and remain accessible to his "fans". Doesn't mean I'll never question or criticise, but you'd think he was our property to do our bidding the way some folks have been creating all over the net recently (not anyone here, btw).

So now we have one , one and one Maybe I'd better hug and kiss first otherwise I might get hauled away by security! I want him to be happy too. I'm disappointed about not seeing him play but knowing how much he respects his fans, I realise that he must have found this decision very difficult to make. Therefore I am cool with it. I must admit I was quite horrified at the recent posts about him. (not here) I generally think that people aren't very forgiving and that like you say, they think he is their property. I hope if he hears all this backlash that he doesn't take it to heart.

Kudos to both PK and SpikesToy for being so mature about it. I promise I'll join your club tomorrow. Or next week. Or maybe next month. Right now I'll second Ditto's request for a good slap on the head. Or possibly some . (But on the other hand, I also feel a lot like killing poor Billy Shakespeare for ever writing MacBeth. Good thing he's dead already... ;D)

LMAO! Thanks Snow! ;D The thing is, we have a huge meet-up to organise for the premiere of the movie... we have around three years to sort it all out, so it should be magnificent! ;D Not to mention the Cons and what-not in between, but they will be low key compared to an all out Macbeth Masquerade.

So I've got 3 years to save enough money to fly overseas - guess I'd better start budgeting for it now ;D

If it films in Scotland, it may world premiere in Glasgow, folks ;D Lol. Stranger things have happened. If not, we could make it the London premiere, and our diehard intrepid US travellers would have a great excuse to join us here again. Toy, three years is plenty time to save and prepare I am mulling over the idea of going dressed as one of the witches, or as one of their familiars. Greymalkin, maybe.... ;D

lol... my mum played all 3 witches in a rag production of Macbeth when she was at college - 1 black country, 1 yorkshire, 1 welsh... jumping around the stage like nobody's business!
Would be cool if premiere was in Glasgow... not so expensive for me, anyway. But def, the london premiere...

I need something posh to wear for the premiere. Somebody else has been creating PK, besides me? Where? *lights another votive candle in front of larger than life at 6' Spike cardboard cut-out* How dare they denigrate my god, only I'm allowed to do that! (That's god with a little g) *Ditto keeps an eye out for a large hairy foot coming down to squash her*

lmao, Ditto... "Thou shalt not worship false idols" or was it graven images? Or both? If anyone's been foul-mouthing him, let me at them! They'll soon wish they hadn't!

Ooooh! Premiere. I've never been to a premiere before, we could definitely do that! Glasgow would be nice, thank you. But that movie better be good if it cost me all GotR fun... (Uhm - I wouldn't have to actually read the play, right? Because I want to be all surprised when everybody's dead in the end.) (That's god with a little g) *Ditto keeps an eye out for a large hairy foot coming down to squash her* So that means - god has hairy feet? Well, at least I got to learn something new today... I think life without GotR doesn't bring out the best sides in me. I watched Harry Potter today and found myself cheering for Snape... I'm off now to watch the rest of the football match. Gotta punish myself somehow. Nothing's better suited for that purpose than the german football team...
