I never did like the smell of paint, but it'll fade if we keep the windows open today.... Remember, this is place for problem sharing, tea and sympathy. It would be nice if it saw very little traffic, but... And any issue ranting to be taken to Room 101, ta

Don't mind me, I just want to sit in the corner and groan *moan, whinge, whine* Thumping headache, aching legs, swollen ankle, gloomy thoughts, mood blacker than a coal skuttle....

Darlin, have a nice long slump, something to eat that the nice Tesco man brought you, a big cuppa cappucino, your very fave Spike moments on the telly, and then think about all the good times we had in London, and that we'll be having again SOON! best cure for the blues I know, and indulge in frequently!

Well, I didn't do any of those things NN, but I did watch the tennis and that perked me up a bit. Legs are still giving me grief though. I know I'm seriously screwed because I found Tim Henman very attractive tonight...
JIG, your parents are probably just trying to make sure you don't burn out. But if it would make you wiorry more, can't they just go and leave you to it?

Jig darlin, don't be so hard on yourself, you DO need some downtime when you're doing exams, and trying to revise solidly isn't the answer. It's well known that the human brain can only concentrate on learning in half hour bursts, anything after that doesn't tend to 'stick'. Good luck sweets, and be nice to yourself!

Huh? Missed that completely! Not that I've looked... Hope you're feeling better, PK! JIG, I hope your revision's going okay. Exams are so tough aren't they? You always feel you have to revise every last thing, just in case, but it usually works out okay in the end. 5 in one day is just plain mean, though! Still, you'll need to take a little bit of time out here and there just to refresh yourself, or you'll go stale... why not suggest to your parents that you do something fun for just a morning? Then you won't feel so guilty about taking time out, cos it's not too long a time; and they'll feel that they're helping you by getting you to relax a little bit. My sister had a revision tip: divide the day into 3 - morning, afternoon, evening. Only work for 2 of these periods, whichever are best for you - so if you get sleepy after lunch, do mornings and evenings, and do something else in the afternoons. It actually helps, because you plan and structure the time you DO have, so you work more efficiently and effectively, and you're more focussed. I did that after a major stress-out during Finals, and it worked pretty well. Still, fingers crossed! Cy, hope you get back on faster internet soon! I really notice the difference at home (dial-up), cos we have really fast internet access at work. Such a pain waiting for pages to load...

thanks for your help everyone! i do have lots of breaks, i guess the revision isnt the problem its just my parents expect me to just go off for the weekend, when the weekend is the last time i have a chance to go over everything before my 1st exam in the morning. I just feel as though they dont understand that i do have to learn everything and cant just go off for the weekend because, i dont want to disappoint myself with my grade and dont want to disappoint them but they dont seem to understand that. Cant wait till monday when there over, they really are pointless, i mean if people fail it doesnt mean they are stupid but thats how they make you feel

Yep, I echo that. And the new animated thing I'd made for the board was JM singing (with GotR!) on SO's show. I just never got it up. Er, put it up to show here.

Was thinking of setting up my counselling corner again, like I had on SS, but I'm not sure I have the heart...

I'm over the moon that he's got his funding, but gutted about the group.
PK, if any more momentous news occurs, would you email me please. I can get to emails, quicker than the board.
