*coughs and adopts stern board mistress voice*
It has been brought to my attention that people are PMing the members here who have mentioned James and the handholding, trying to dig for the kind of information they couldn't possibly know (and even if they did - which I reiterate, they DON'T - it would be far too personal to pass on). Please, get a grip!
I see nothing wrong in reporting what loads of people saw.
BUT the subsequent digging, wild speculation and harrassing of board members MUST STOP! Y'all know you wouldn't get away with posting this kind of thing on the board, but doing it behind the scenes doesn't really make it any better.

Now, on a happier note, Late Starter from CDS - who has been giving me some of the details by phone as previously reported - has already provided a good account of James' Saturday Q&A which has been reproduced in the Conventions and Gatherings thread at Sparklies, as well as originally being posted on CDS.

New pic is just... *faints* wow! ;D Only one roll Pixie? Yep I saw on another board where someone took an observation from this board and posted it there, and then they all ran with it... their Board Mistress told them to stop, so not surprising that they're PMing people here... Thanks everybody for the wonderful reports! Can't wait for some pics! ;D

It should be surprising! Some of the questions have been incredible So JM being seen with a woman seems to have dented some people's fantasies... Jeez, get a life people! Moving swiftly on - check out denny dc's LJ for lovely reports, particularly of the acoustic set.

Hi everyone, just got back from Hallowen and am so exhausted I can barely move the mouse! Met most of the girls for the first time(cept NN). What a great bunch. Had the best time ever and want more. Thought I was going to pass out when I asked James his question, NN did much better with hers. Too tired to write much but hey I won a T Shirt - pulled out of the pumpkin bowel by the lovely Luke Perry. David was soooooooh funny - he did a brilliant job with James doing a live commentary as we watched The Girl In Question. Even James was in awe of him. Think i might start incoherently babbling now so will say night night, not that I will be able to sleep with all those thoughts of James going through my head!!!!!!!!1

For BAPS members, Laurie and Teep's report is a good read, as is Wendy's. And Late Starter and Sueworld have added more reports and pics at CDS (link earlier in the thread).

I wanted to get some thoughts about this weekend down before reading any other reports.
My main memory is of laughing, laughing harder longer and more often than I can ever remember, laughing to the point where it hurt to keep laughing. David and James improvising alternative dialogue to “The Girl in Question” was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, their timing was impeccable and the glorious silliness of that live commentary will stay with me for a long time.
This was an amazing weekend, all the guests were lovely, the questions for the most part were original and interesting, some of them were outrageous to the point where I was sliding down into my seat cringing with embarrassment but James and David had a ready response for each and every questioner and the replies ranged from the hilarious to the thought provoking.
I went as a fan of James who also liked David. I came away with a new level of respect for both of them. Alone they were wonderful, together they were pure magic. Their interaction and the way they bounced ideas back and forth was riveting to watch and to listen to.
This was a con at which David felt comfortable enough to change places with an audience member and play the role of a nervous and incomprehensible questioner and where the answers “ Hagan Das” and “ Two” became catchwords for the weekend .. a con where the headliners could walk through the main hall and not be hassled , a con where when the stars told you they’d had a good time you genuinely believed they meant it . And words can’t describe how it feels to be greeted by James with “Hi how are you?, lovely to see you again” ( yeah I know it’s schmoose but man it feels good!). To be present at James’ first European solo acoustic set was, as the credit card ads put it, “ priceless” To see both he and David thank the fans and the con organisers and to see James thank each and every steward and behind the scenes person personally was touching in the extreme . The other guests were also great. I knew little about Luke Perry before this con but his answers were witty, funny and always entertaining. Jane Espenson was sweet and charming and her live commentary on Pangs was just great. Amy and Juliet were both ridiculously tiny and pretty and talented and personable and adorable.. The organisation was brilliant; the sound in the hall crystal clear, I never saw a steward get grumpy which, considering how hard they worked was a miracle. If a problem arose my experience was that it got quickly sorted with minimum fuss. I was lucky in that I didn’t get stuck in any queues, I waited till the insane rush had died down to get my pictures and the organisers had made sure that supplies were constantly restocked and our low ticket numbers enabled pics and autos with the headliners to be fast and painless whilst a bit of judicious queue watching and timing meant that I got every thing I wanted without missing any of the events in the main hall. Even the inevitable loo queues were good humoured. I met so many wonderful people this weekend, both from the guest list and the audience and I had one of the best weekends of my life. Fantastic!! Amazing!! Astonishing and any other superlative I can throw at it. This event easily surpassed my wildest hopes and expectations. I’ll be wittering on about it for weeks on my LJ and to anyone who will listen But for now all I can say is Hagan Das, Ciao , and Ohhh the pretty!
And now I'm off to catch up on everyone elses reports

Hey PK
I spoke to Lisa about the venue , she said that they'd tried every hotel and con centre in London but York Hall was the only venue that they could find which could deal with 1,000 people at that notice . If it had been 600 The Mermaid would have cancelled other bookings to fit the event in
next event will be in a more accessible venue and she felt really bad that you couldn't come and really wished that something could have been sorted out
But I have to say that they made that venue work despite it's drawbacks and really looked after the people in the audience who had any kind of special needs
so next time the venue will be better and you'll be there ( please be there.. we missed you so)

Aw Deb, you've made me feel a bit teary Thanks so much for talking to Lisa about it. I have a lot of respect for her and was trying to work out a diplomatic way of getting the message across about the main reason I had to sell my ticket. The Mermaid would have been a better option in terms of accessibility and that there are plenty of hotels nearby so no hugely expensive cab fares required back and forth. But it would still have been a very very long day on Saturday in particular to be stuck in a place where you can't go and have a break in your room when the going gets tough. All that time stuck in a wheelie would have killed me; aches, pains, back giving out, numb bum, you name it, lol! I've been not too good this weekend anyway, so it was probably just as well this time but I really really don't want to miss another event as fab as this one sounds. My gals and the CDS girls did their best to keep me in the loop all weekend with phonecalls and reports from internet caffs, but, you know.... *sigh*

Awww Lisa was really genuinely upset that you had to sell your ticket, the venue was a compromise they didn't want to make but had to . It shouldn't happen again And to see James hug Lisa and say that she was the reason that came to the Uk so much was very touching Lisa is just great ( and watch the JM live site cos he'll be back) By the way I got my pacing right ,just one problem on Sunday afternoon when I got too hot and although I could have been found some privacy and a space to lie down ( The Stewards there were amazing and would have fixed it) I couldn't stand let alone walk .. So I ended up having my spine iced in public by my wonderful Sister .. and it was magic! worked like a charm though I guess many of the second row now think I'm a pervert. I had a great time! and will post more when I've rested a little see you at the next one lass

Wow, have just been reading all the different reports and checking out the photos. Reliving it all again is fab but kinda painful too as I want to be back there. :'(Don't think I can write as well as others so won't do much of a report. Would like to share a story of Juliets that I thought was really funny. She was talking about School Hard in the scene when she arrives at the place where The Annointed One is and says to Spike 'look at all the people, are they nice people' in that wonderful Drusilla voice. This became a catchphrase for her family and friends and everytime they go to big Hollywood do's, someone will say the phrase in the Dru voice - this being particularly meaning ful if guests are fake or affected ! When Juliet did the Dru voice the audience went wild, as they did when Amy went into Ilyria and James did British. Ahh, wonderful times.
