I'm not sure how this works now - PK went and changed the rules and you all know I'm easily confused. Any how: I know, I know. It's been forever. So, will a new Babyverse novel make up for it? Yes, it's a novel. And it's written with the absolutely wonderful Princess Plum Jade. And it's on my new website so it won't clog up your email in box. It's also complete. There's a feedback button at the top of the web page. Use it. www.geocities.com/ebonysilvers/qom/qom.htm So what to expect? Well the usual angst, misery, family togetherness, and such that you're used to. Let's see... The particulars are: NC17 for sex, language, sexual coercion, violence, etc. Slash in a few places. Hello, there's Jean and Rene so there will be slash. Nothing terribly graphic. Summary (You all know I suck at those): This is written in conjunction with Princess Plum Jade's "Adrenaline Trilogy" wherein Charlie Jolivette, a young girl with mystic 'Red Gold' blood and the undeveloped powers of an eastern goddess falls into the Babyverse. She and Jean are forced together by circumstances and have to build a life together. This novel takes place twenty years later when the Pride is called on by the PTBs to save a trio of children who are in dreadful danger. Or so they think. Instead they encounter unsettling duplicates of themselves - a completely deranged Baby who is now the evil Queen, an frightened Charlie who is enslaved to the Queen, an embittered Jean trying to hold an empire together, and a Jack who is little more than the Queen's enforcer and lapdog unable to even protect his own children. Could all this have happened simply because Baby tasted Red Gold first?

On LJ there is a community for 15 Minute Ficlets, with a one word challenge posted every week. It seems pretty good for kick-starting ideas and/or getting you to hone your sentences. I cheated with this week's - although when the hammering next door stops [glow=red,2,300]YOU FUCKING BASTARDS![/glow] - I have another one ready to pop out. The first one is posted here, there and everywhere, including LJ. ETA - the hammering stopped, so I rattled off the second one. This is fun! ;D

Okay, I was prevailed upon to continue the R rated Spangel one (and no, not by Cyrus!), which was inspired by a fic I started a while back but was never happy with. A shift in focus might be doing the trick! So I have posted part 2 of Old Times at my LJ, Bloody Spike and AdultFanFiction.net(although I like sweet William in my G rated one, also on LJ and at BS). There is a new word for the week at the 15 Minute Ficlet community - link given in previous post - which I'll have a stab at when I can.

I should have said, I already stabbed this week's word! Did it before bed last night LJ, or BS is where you'll find it - No Promises. have to say, naughty James Marsters and his song lyrics helped me with this one

I am now an official 15 Minute Ficlet Challenge addict, and write one every week. As you might imagine, they are Spikecentric and always will be! The latest is Surprise! but they all get archived at Bloody Spike - you have to be signed in to access the Documents area, don't forget. Meanwhile, what started life as "Angel Always Knows", and because I hated the feel of it, it never was finished, has metamorphosed somehow into the Spangel of "Old Times". And I update that about three or four times a weke at the moment. Also to be found at AdultFanFiction.netHaving written nothing for a year - apart from work stuff, lol - the 15 Minute challenges have really kickstarted me again, and my head is full of fic ideas right now. I even had to get out of bed the other night, just after I had gotten in, to scribble down some dialogue for "Old Times"! So if anyone is short of time, or struggling for inspiration, or even thinking of having a stab at fic writing for the first time, I strongly recommend the method!

Here's another way to focus your fic thoughts! 100 word rabbles... Yikes! These are hard lessons for a windbag like me to learn! But it's fun! New chalenge every Sunday - www.livejournal.com/community/open_on_sunday/I'm not very good yet, so I haven't posted mine there. But they are on my own LJ. ETA - I plucked up the courage in the end, and have some good feedback. The drabbling folks are lovely and very supportive, so if anyone fancies taking the plunge....

Congrats Wil I can just about make out that it's for a poem... I am overdue an eye test! I am really getting into the discipline of the short stuff! I have just completed this week's 15 Minute Ficlet challenge and it can be found at my LJ and at Bloody Spike, in Documents. And I am still looking for people to give me some more Spikecentric fic or poems.... I'm the only one contributing in there at the moment. Tsk!

I always meant to write something new, but never actually manage to find the inspiration. I'm hoping that when Spike appears on Angel that I can get some inspiration to write something. Unfortuanly I have terrestrial and we're behind by quite a bit. I also would love to write a fanfic for Drucilla as I love her charactor. I love trying to get inside her mind, imagining what she's thinking, how she speaks, how she moves. On the old board we did the whole everyone tells a bit of the story (before it got hijacked by Dr Who fans stangely enough! ), but I loved to write for her. She was by far and away my favorite female character followed by evil willow!

Hi everyone! I'm still writing (try to stop me!), and have a backlog of fics to post, when I've typed them all up! There are however 2 posted at fanfiction.net, "Christmas with the Scoobies" and "Finding Faith". Would be glad if you'd R&R - have I lost my touch, guys? Pixie is anxious... Thinking there's nothing new to say. What do you guys think of these two? www.fanfiction.net/profile.php?userid=199849"Christmas" is a bit of a love triangle set in a fictional season 7; Angel had his soul fixed, so Buffy could get back with him; but she knows she'd hurt Spike if she did. Will she, won't she? "Finding Faith" was written after I'd seen "Bring it on" and loved Missy! Bit of a homage to Eliza Dushku, Faith centred - what she could have been like if she'd had better care taken of her! Please let me know! Px

Thanks, Ditto! They're pretty mild (comparatively speaking), so you'll prolly find them rather dull! There are some more interesting ones to come, but I'm having to write my Masters dissertation as well ( myself to do that 1st), then when it's handed in in September, all the floodgates of fanfic will open, and I will type them up and put them on the net. I promise. And I'll try to write you another slash one, since you liked "Growing Pains"!

*gets off topic only briefly* but I'm having to write my Masters dissertation as well ( myself to do that 1st), then when it's handed in in September, For a second I thought you said "Marsters dissertation", then reread it and am now like "holy crap! and she's only 24?!" Good luck with that. My fav instructor went through that last year and he was grumpy until it was finished! *back on topic* Throws this in so not completely useless: I used to read fan fic all the time... then got too busy... : ( But I do enjoy PK's short slash writings in her LJ.
