It's such a pity they are finished. For me 'Much Ado...' and 'Midsummer's....' were by far the best. Both re-enactment's were brilliant, and the casting inspired ;D, I was also laughing out loud at 'Much Ado..' and thought Billie Piper as Hero exceptional 'Midsummer's..' was really a joy to watch and I agree with PK, Johnny Vegas as Bottom was an excellent choice. I did enjoy 'Macbeth' and the Binmen were cool ;D, however it didn't excite me as much as the other production's, which leaves us with my all time favourite 'Shakespeare' piece, 'Taming The Shrew'. Shirley Henderson was a marvelous Kate as was Rufus Sewell as Petruchio, but I have to say if it hadn't been for these performance's I might have switched it off , I can't really figure out why exactly but I just didn't enjoy it as much as the other three, maybe I've overdosed on too many variations of the play I don't know, but I'm afraid it's not what I expected

That's interesting teebs. It made me think (and that isn't easy if I don't have to! ;D).
Of the four, although I have seen them all a number of times in a variety of productions and styles, I have seen Macbeth by far the most (I've lost count), and it would be bottom of my list of these reworkings by a smidge.
Coincidence?

Darn, the BBC has brought out a DVD of all 4 of their Reworked plays, at around £17. Wish I'd known, as I'd have asked Santa for a copy
