I DON'T THINK WE NEED TOO MANY, BUT IT DOESN'T HURT TO GIVE SOME GUIDELINES
First off, I am sorry to have to amend the rules and add this opening paragraph, but recent events have made this necessary:
We are a James Marsters fan board. Not a BtVS board or AtS board, although obviously we do discuss the shows often because of James' involvement in them for so long. Neither are we a shipper board for characters from those shows. I think the point I am trying to make is we don't get involved in some of the more negative aspects of Jossverse fandom here, and there will be no bashing of any actors from either show. Constructive criticism of characters, actors, ME personnel etc is of course fine, but if it crosses the line to become abusive, posts will be deleted and persistent offenders banned.
I personally would feel uncomfortable getting into too much speculation about James' family, as they didn't ask for his celebrity; and also not too much graphic detail about what you would like to do to his lovely body please - Spike is one thing, James is real!
No bad mouthing James or each other. Goes without saying - if you wanna fight with someone on here, take it elsewhere! But also try to figure out the language barriers. One person's tease is another person's insult. For instance, we Brits tend to be more sarkie than most, so if you don't get what someone is saying, ask what they mean.
And I defy anyone to be as opinionated or politicised as me, and my views are usually far from mainstream so I am used to rough and tumble! But can we try to refrain from political arguments here, please. This board is here for info and chat about James, BtVS, AtS, and related art/movies/music etc. We do have places for off-topic rambling, but when politics rears its ugly head discussion tends to get polarised and harsh - I am as guilty as anyone, and I'm not saying we should on such topics. Just be prepared for opposing POVs and keep the tone light if possible. The only no-nos are the use of racist or sexist (including homophobic) expressions.
All this being said, we come here to enjoy ourselves, right?! Lol! So, please just be mindful of these few rules and have fun!
Cheers.
