Oh wow! So this was the Saw rip-off homage? Bloody brilliant! I loved it, every little bit of it. If only every episode could have such a clear vision (well done Steve DK! ) and fantastic acting and emotional conflict. As much as I like the show, the villain/superhero/freak of the week thing often gets in the way of the interesting stuff going on in the background. But this was as upfront and cinematically great as a episode can aspire to be, IMO. Martha has positively blossomed since Jonathan's demise. Harsh, but true. And John Glover was stellar, getting to show off in a non-showy, controlled acting way. Wow! And look at the way Tom stepped up to the mark when bouncing off him in their final scene. He was terrific, not his somewhat two-dimensional self (although I do give him credit for his normal confused super-teen acting. That can't be easy either. But he's growing up now). MR was as great as ever too. It hurts me whenever Lex puts him down. He needs a hug And Lex and Martha's tormentor was as scary as hell in that get-up. Wow! Fave ep of the season so far *hyperventilates*
