His trailer for the show is where he gets dressed (or undressed!) for his next scene, takes naps, etc while working.
"at close of play" = when the show ended

Personally I think it would make a great door stop or an unusual garden feature....

Steve H has posted a message at JM's site about this whole rum do: And it would seem as if the ebay seller has withdrawn said item.... Did the "business associates" put the frighteners on said seller? I do hope so ;D

Q: If you really 'found this item in the trash' then why didn't you try to return it to its rightful owner? It wouldn't have taken much to leave a message on James's website or contact his management and see if they wanted it back before you tried to sell it, just to make sure that you wouldn't be prosecuted for theft of it. I don't believe that any honest person would put something like this up on ebay without checking to make sure it wasn't stolen first. Answered on Aug-14-04 A: First of all I would never steal Anything! I did find this in the trash. I realize that there are allot of people who are very upset that this item is for sale on Ebay. I never meant to upset anyone. I have no affiliation with James or his management company. I would absolutely consider returning this Item to James; however I have not been contacted by him or his management company to request its return. I will take steps to stop this auction; however I don't feel it’s my responsibility to track down James or his representatives. Nor do I feel that I am responsible to pay the high cost of shipping this very heavy item. Again, I am sorry; I did not mean to upset anyone. Q: According to the official James Marsters website, www.jamesmarsters.com, this Spacey Award was stolen from James' trailer. James is very proud of this award, and neither he or any of his people would ever throw it away. Given this fact, are you willing to return this Spacey Award to James Marsters? Q: Hi, I live in Canada (where the Spacey Awards are from) and belong to a group that worked very hard to push for James to win this award and to get as many votes as we could for him. Can you please let me know how it came to be for sale on Ebay. If he does not want these awards in future, we will not put in the effort. I may put a bid on it myself and share it with the group here. Thanks in advance. Answered on Aug-13-04 A: Hello, Well I found this award in the trash when the angel show was closing down. I know these are special to the many fans that watched the show, and I would rather have them in the hands of someone who would truly appreciate them than collecting dust in my closet. I am also a collector from both shows, but financial hardship has caused me to part with them

See, we're supposed to feel sorry for them that they are a bit hard up at the moment *snerk* There is talk that Space, the Canadian whatsit who run the Spacey Awards, are going to send James a replacement... Hee, whether he wants it or not, ey! ;D This affair has been quite entertaining, you have to admit! ;D

I say you and I break our rule and go out and buy him a useful present. He may be in desperate need of an award crusher so months down the line some thief passerby cant find it in his trailer bin and sell it on E.bay. ;D

I'm sure he has a hammer or something - wouldn't that do just as well as an award crusher? *goes off singing* If I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning, I'd hammer in the evening, All over this land...

LOL Pix ;D - a hammer would be far more satisfying than throwing it in the bin if he truly hated the award that much.
