In some ways it feels like longer I remember where I was when I saw my first Buffy, and I've moved house three times and had a lot of shit happen since then Anyhoo, although I fell out of love with the show partway through S6, I still watched every ep; and it's definitely a show worth celebrating So: When did you start watching? - whenever it was that the first ep aired on BBC 2. What kept you watching? - the humour, the characters (I liked them all back then), and the fantasy/horror/sci-fi elements. I wandered a bit in S3 (I think it clashed with real life), but caught up on that one later, and was back in the weekly groove for S4 onwards. Biggest shock? - ah, for those unspoiled days! Angelus offing Jenny in S2 without a by your leave. Shocked me to the core! Still does. Great stuff Fave seasons in order? 2, 5, 4, 3, 1, 6, 7 Fave ep? - Fool For Love. Yes, it was spike, but the ep was amazing. So cinematic. And I'm a sucker for flashbacks and backstory for anyone interesting. Other fave eps? - The Body, The Gift (I stilll sometimes wish it had ended then), Hush (mostly for the hovering Gentlemen. Sexy, frightening beasts!), I Only Have Eyes For You, Tabula Rasa, Lies My Parents Told Me (my one concession to the bilge of S7). Fave character (s) - well, duh! So, aside from Spike - whenever Angelus came out to play, earlyish Willow, Oz. I was quite fond of Xander in the first two seasons, and Giles with Jenny was cute. Never actually like our Buffy all that much... apart from the Buffybot ;D Fave foe(s) - aside from Spike, Dru and Angelus in S2, I liked Sweet (I'm a sucker for a well-dressed song and dance demon), and Glory's minions for their servility ;D The Mayor was pretty awesome too. Overall, I'm glad of its legacy. I like spotting its influence on other shows and chortling at blatant rip-offs (yes, I'm looking at you Russell T Davies!). Nothing since has quite managed to pull off the snappy dialogue in the same way, though, but I like it when shows try to be smart and sassy. By all means add your own categories and/or rambles

When did you start watching? - Very late and it was Angel not Buffy. Well I saw the organ drop on himself and checked out his name and then started watching with Daph, then saw the teatime Angels which were naff 'cos of censorship but Spike's hair going on fire had me chortling and I was hooked. What kept you watching? - definitely the humour, though I thought the vampires were pretty stupid 'cos they had bumpy faces. Biggest shock? - Joyce! How could they do that? I miss Joyce. And Jenny too...but Joyce. And the one where Faith offs that poor sidekick of the Mayors... ::winces:: Fave seasons in order? - Dunno..just luf them all. Don't make me choose! Fave ep? - The Pack, Fool For Love, Crush, Hush. The Body is brilliant, but so very painful to watch. Other fave eps? - All of 'em! Willow & Tara dancing, Spike turning and suddenly becoming beautiful, Dru floating in the park asking if the little lad's mummy will be sorry when they find him dead eek, Giles playing the guitar, Giles splaying cards all over the place when Willow turns up as a ghost, Giles fumbling the chords when Spike surprises him 'call yourself a watcher' lmao, Xander's power walk in The Pack, Xander jumping on stage and playing air guitar, Buffy lap dancing Xander standing up! Spike's speech to Buffy&Angel "You'll never be friends..." got to stop there, I haven't got all night! Fave character (s) - well, duh! So, aside from Spike - all of 'em! In sortov order...Spike, Xander, Oz, Giles, BuffyBot, Willow, Tara, Joyce, Jenny...all of 'em! Dawn was a bit whiny... Fave foe(s) - I don't think of Spike&Dru as foes! Loved all the villains. Hated and loathed Parker - the only real villain in BtVS ever. All the rest were lovable...those Gorch Bros were a hoot. Sweet was wonderful. Adored the Mayor. Glory was beautiful and her minions were crusty and hilarious. BtVS changed my life. For the better.

Biggest shock? - when I got the whole series buy one get one free at Woolworths 6 first then 7 then from series 1, Spike wasn't in it all the time ok the real biggest shock Angel or was it Angelus? killing Jenny and the Body I've never seen the whole episode yet Fave seasons in order? 6 ,7, 5,4,3,2,1, Fave ep? - Once More with Feeling ;D Other fave eps? - Smashed ,Wrecked ,Gone,Dead Things (iz shallow ) School Hard when Spike turns round and he is sooooo Handsome ;D Fool for Love,Lies My Parents Told Me (ok can you see a pattern here its all Spike ones ;D ;D ) Fave character (s) - Spike!! ;D ;D Fave foe(s) - The First he was one sneeky guy changing into who ever he liked If I hadn't forced myself to watch OMWF to see what the fuss was about, a musical Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode??, I would never have see Spike and then had to find out more about the most yummyest Vampire I'd ever seen (since Frank Langellia cause in his day he was yummy) I had to find out who this English man called James Martsers was, then I found out he was American and I could have seen him in London ;D ;D but all the tickets had been sold but then I found out that I could go to Berlin and see him ;D ;D Ok I've always been shy but I wanted to see this hunk of a man ;D ;D It was on the way back from Berlin I plucked up courage to talk to three people that had James badges on and we got along as though we'd known each other for years Yes it was Ditto Deb and Daph ;D ;D ;D and I was pointed in the direction of Bloody Spikeless and all the lovely peeps here and been to places and got more friends I've ever had in my life all because of BTVS and most of all because of a Vampire called Spike and James Marsters himself ;D ;D

When did you start watching? From the very beginning. I saw it advertised and thought it had a kookie title. I watched regularly cos I really enjoyed it, then when Spike came along I was well and truly hooked. I went on about it so much at work that Rainbow finally started watching and was hooked too, What kept you watching? - Spike, the writing, the humour, the angst, the different characters and waiting for those tender moments between Buffy and Spike Biggest shock? - when Angelus killed Jenny and 'posed' Gile's place to make it look romantic. Fave seasons in order? 5, 2, 4, 7, 6, 1, 3 Fave ep? - Once More with Feeling I'm a sucker for musicals. Other fave eps? - Fool For Love, Hush, Becoming Part 2, The Gift, Storyteller ;D, Lies My Parents Told Me, Older and Far Away Fave character (s) - Spike, Angel, Giles, Oz, Andrew, Cordelia Fave foe(s) - Angelus, Caleb, Glory I only wish I'd discovered this place sooner so I could have met up with peeps and seen more of James. I was never computer savvy and had never heard of fan sites or forum boards. Thank god I took the plunge and went along to the David Boreanaz con on my own in Brighton and met NN, in the bar

I had forgotten about writing in this thread. I was such a dedicated fan back then. Although this is no longer the case Buffy, and most importantly Spike will always have a specialplace in my heart. I love seeing PK in all these revisited threads
